"So," Eliza said all giddy, a wide smile on her face as she fidgeted on her feet. "Are you ready?" She asked me.

I stood in front of the mirror, constantly flattening the black dress I was wearing. The dress hugged my upper body perfectly, going tight along the waistline before flowing outwards down to my knees. On my feet were flats, so it was easier for me to throw off and shift when I needed to.

I gulped as I looked into the mirror. Today was a big day, a very big day-- for both myself and the entire pack.

I was going to be officially initiated into the Black Dawn pack as their Luna. It was a long day coming. Even though I had been introduced to the pack already, I still had to be initiated into the pack in a ceremony of my own.

While I was so excited to finally to the official Luna of Black Dawn, part of me was still weary and slightly nervous. What did I wasn't fit for the job? I was already in the temporary Luna position, waiting to be permanent-- but was I right for that.

My wolf growled at the idea. I shook my head at myself. Of course, I was ready. The Moon Goddess wouldn't have presented me with an Alpha mate if I didn't have the ability to be a strong Luna myself-- the Moon Goddess makes no mistakes. She makes tough decisions, but never mistakes.

I looked back at myself in the mirror, giving myself one more look over before spinning to face the girls. Both Eliza and Ella came to help get me ready for the ceremony, of course, and Faith came for extra company.

"Yes, I think I finally am." I would be lying if I said I wasn't shaking in nerves, I was just staring at myself in the mirror for the past twenty minutes. The girls were watching me with nervous eyes, they definitely assumed I was going to run.

But there was no way I was going to run from this, not from the position and not from Theo.

"Well Luna, it's time to get going. You've got a ceremony to get to." Ella said, squealing with joy. "Luna Holly, perfect!" If anyone was more excited than me about becoming Luna, it was definitely Ella. She couldn't keep her excitement down the entire day, it was slowly becoming a headache.

I took a deep breath before nodding at the she-wolf, all four of us finally making our way out of the door.

Outside the bedroom door stood Grey who was waiting for Eliza, with a smile on his face as he glanced over to her. By the looks of them, they were definitely mind-linking and it was definitely none of my business.

Watching them, I wished that Theo was here to greet me also but I knew that he had to be at the ceremony right now. He was the second most important person there, after all, first being me of course.

As we walked closer to the ceremony, I could feel my body quickly rack with nerves. It was going to finally happen and I may just faint right on the stage, I was that nervous.

But as soon as I saw Theo on stage, my nerves calmed and my heart skipped a beat. He looked so handsome in his attire-- it was definitely a dress to impress moment.

When I made it to him, his eyes sparkling as they fell upon me.

"You look beautiful, my love." He said with a loving smile plastered his face as he looked me all over. I immediately felt the previous nerves that racked my body disappear as soon as our eyes met, his voice soothing me instantly.

I blushed, reaching for his hands which he accepted by quickly capturing my hand in his. "Thank you," I reached up on my tiptoes, planting a wet kiss on his cheek before pulling away with a wide smile on my face.

This was where I was meant to be.

"Are you ready, my Luna?" He asked, grabbing both of my hand, his entire demeanour showing off how proud he seemed-- along with the heavy ounce of Alpha authority that was basically coming off of him.

I smiled up at him, I couldn't help the content I felt being in this position, all the worries I had about how I was going to be in this position or if the position was even right for me had disappeared-- I was ready.

I nodded up to him, not being able to hold in my excitement. "I'm ready," I felt like a giddy child but I didn't care. This was going to be where my new life started.

The ceremony began with the Alpha, Theo. Taking this time to discuss the importance of having a Luna and what the authority could do to help the pack.

It's been a while since Black Dawn's has had a Luna-- Theo's mother to be precise. Those were going to be big shoes to fill.

"--Please welcome my mate and your new Luna, Luna Holly!" Theo hollered, the wolves among us howling in the air as they waited for me to walk through.

I stepped out, smiling into the crowd as I made my way to Theo. Compared to the BBQ, I was definitely getting better at this. I looked down at the crowd and I could feel my smile enlarging as I noticed more and more faces of approval, their eyes glistening as they watched my mate and I on stage.

From the crowd, I could see Grey and Eliza, Ella and Faith and even Adrian and his mate Lisa--all of which with big smiles on their faces as they looked up at their Alpha and soon-to-be Luna.

"Holly," Theo spoke, catching my attention immediately. I turned to him, standing straight as I listened to his next words.

"Do you accept the responsibilities of being the Luna of Black Dawn?"

"I do," I responded, my voice clear and strong.

"Do you accept that being Luna means you will have to take for the pack as if it was a child of your own, you will care and nurture the pack for as long as you are Luna?" Theo asked another, his own voice loud and filled with authority. He was being such an Alpha, I had to hold my wolf down.

I took a deep breath before responding this time, letting the responsibilities of Luna sink in. "I do," I said one more time.

There was one last thing I had to do in order to my initiated into the pack, and this part was the only part that slightly disgusted me.

Theo turned his back to me for a moment before turning to face me again, in his hand was a chalice that contained some of his blood.

Yes, part of the ceremony was to drink the current Alpha's blood from a chalice. My nose scrunched up as Theo handed me the cup.

"She will now drink the blood of the Alpha to complete her initiation to become Luna," Theo glanced back down at me, gesturing the to cup in my hands. "Just imagine it's cherryade," He whispered, taking my disgust as if it was a funny little joke.

I groaned quietly before squeezing my eyes shut and drinking the contents of the chalice.

As soon as I finished, Theo grabbed my hand closest to him and lifted it in the air.

"Welcome your new Luna, Luna Holly!" He bellowed to the crowd, another wave of howls erupting between them all.

"Luna Holly!" They chanted, my cheeks going red as everyone cheered for me.

I was officially Luna, this was officially home.

"Now," Theo called out. "It is time for the pack run, the first of many for Luna Holly." Instantly, the pack members were dispersing into the woods, stripping off their clothes before shifting-- some even shifting with their clothes still on, leaving a shredded mess behind.

Theo looked down at me, with a proud smile on his face as he squeezed my hand. "You ready, Luna Holly?" He asked. I inwardly sighed-- I loved this man.

I looked towards to the woods, my heart bursting with joy at the thought of my running with my new pack-- my wolf howling in joy along with me.

I then looked back at Theo, a wide smile of my own.

"Ready when you are, Alpha Theo."
