《Alpha Theo || ✓》34 | meetings, meetings

I was in the longest meeting of my life-- it almost made me start to regret the pressure I put on Theo to let me part of the conversation.
I slumped in my seat, rolling my eyes as I listened to Jack and Theo's seventh spat of the day.
"How are you going to be Future Alpha with your half-arsed sugges--"
"How are you the current Alpha with your lack of protect--"
"Oh please, if it wasn't for your fathe--"
"Is that the best you can come up with? No wonder your sist--"
Theo snarled loudly, slamming his fists on the table, leaning his body closer to Jack who was on the other side of the table. "Watch what comes out of your mouth next, Mutt."
I watched with tired eyes, leaning my chin on my fist as I pressed my elbow into the cushiony chair aim. I picked the most comfortable chair-- obviously.
Jack's brows raised and I watched as he gritted his teeth. He stood up slowly, matching Theo's height exactly and narrowed his eyes directly at him. "Mutt?" He seethed, repulsed at Theo's choice of words.
In response, my mate rolled his eyes, pushing his closed fists off the table and crossing his arms over his chest. "Mutt." He repeated smugly, almost as if he was proud of something.
Jack let out a snarl. "That's it!" He yelled, throwing his hands down-- his claws quick to grow out from his fingertips.
I had to cut in, this was getting embarrassing to watch.
I purposefully groaned loudly, catching the attention of both the Alpha males in front of me. "Put your dicks away already," I spat out, irritated. "Can we please have ten minutes without one of you raging war with the other? Please!" I almost shrieked out, taking time to give both of them a glare of my own.
"Children," I said under my breath, rolling my eyes as I pushed my back of the chair, seating straight.
Both Theo and Jack grumbled nonsense before they both sat back down on their seats-- which was on either side of me, unsurprisingly.
They really didn't like each other right now, god knows when and if it will ever change.
Slowly, the meeting resumed.
The meeting only involved the close circle of Theo's-- and Jack obviously. Sitting in the room was Theo, Jack, Grey, the Gamma who I've only just learnt actually has a name-- too bad I've already forgotten it-- and surprisingly Kai, one-half of the twins I met at the BBQ where Theo introduced me to his pack.

Kai happened to be one of the best Trackers in the pack, so it wasn't surprising that Theo would trust him. This was actually the first time I've seen him without his twin sister Kara, every time I saw them they were almost always joined by the hip.
Throughout the meeting, each person came up with their own strategy to attack Alpha Hayden's pack.
Each proposition brought forward lacked, not to mention they were incredibly dangerous to the members of the pack that were innocent.
Each idea was detailed in blood and gore, it was as if the men in the room had completely forgotten that 96% of that pack was innocent and how no idea what my Father has been doing all these years-- why should they suffer for something they had no part in?
The Gamma huffed, tiredness clear in his eyes-- we have been in this meeting for hours, obviously, 60% of the meeting was just arguments but that was beside the point.
"How about we just attack each corner, ambush from every side?" He suggested, raising his eyebrows and tilting his head as he spoke, almost as if he said the best idea of the night-- spoiler alert, it wasn't.
I rolled my eyes at him, his seating exactly opposite me on the other end of the table. "That's a terrible idea Gamma," I grumbled, irritated at his suggestion. The idea had no reason to it, a chimp could have thought of that idea in the first hour of this meeting.
The man's eyes widened at me slightly, before narrowing with brows furrowed. "Gamma? I have a name," I tilted my head down, bored as I looked back at me. "It's Jim!"
I shrugged. "OK Jim, that doesn't change the fact that your idea was absolutely a waste of breath." I retorted. In my heart, I knew I would feel bad about how I was treating this man, but at the moment I didn't care-- I was tired.
"Holly!" Grey hollered from across the room, his wide eyes looking directing at me. Even though his tone was surprised, I could see the humour circling in his eyes.
"What?" I sighed loudly, looking at everyone in the room before lifting myself up from my chair, pressing the palms of my hands flat on the table.
"All your suggestions are purely based on offence and violence," I spoke to everyone in the room, each one of the men turning slightly to look at me. It was one of the first time I was speaking up in the meeting.

I felt like I should stick to listening to their suggestions than throwing in my opinions-- couldn't completely take over the meeting on the first day, got to take it one day at a time. But that feeling was very much gone, hearing them talk for hours was driving me up the wall.
"You are all forgetting that the pack you plan the 'ambush' and attack is filled with innocent men, woman and children who have no part in Hayden's scheme." I continued. "If you were to go there and kill them, you wouldn't be any different than Hayden and what he's done."
Everyone in the room looked at me, I noticed the majority of the looks held surprise-- Theo's eyes, however, held another emotion. He was proud.
For some reason, knowing that he was proud of me made me happy. Obviously, it wasn't a necessity for him to be proud of me, but I couldn't help but feel giddy knowing that he did indeed feel that way.
My wolf purred inside me, simply just thinking of our mate.
From a corner of the room, I heard a little chuckle. Turning my head to see who it was, I saw Kai with a toothy grin on his face. He was always smiling for some reason-- happiness was clearly a personality trait for him.
"How about you come up with a plan then? Luna." He teased, raising his brows at him almost to say 'I'm waiting'.
I took a breath as I thought. "Well, Hayden always has somebody guarding each side of the border. I think the best chance we have is to attack after they've changed shifts, that way we don't risk someone else coming and interrupting." I suggested.
"And how do you suggest we attack them?" Theo asked, looking up at me from his seat.
"We inject them with wolfsbane, just enough to knock them out but not too much that it would affect them after waking up. It'd give us enough time to get in and out without the hassle of the border guards trying to stop us."
Throughout this entire meeting, I noticed that no one once mentioned the use of wolfsbane at all.
Wolfsbane is known to be a very common attack for both the offence and defence, I would be lying if I said I wasn't surprised that someone was yet to bring it up after hours in the meeting.
"Oo, no can do." Kai tutted from his chair, showing his gritted teeth as he cringed. My brows furrowed in confusion.
"What do you mean?"
"Holly," Grey spoke up, his own brows furrowed in confusion as he addressed me. "We don't have any wolfsbane?"
I scoffed. "What, did you use the last bit on me?"
"No, the wolfsbane supply was stolen weeks ago, didn't Theo tell you?" I raised an eyebrow, before turning to Theo who was sending his Beta a glare that threatened to burn.
"No, he didn't." I bluntly spoke, my eyes directly focused on my mate, who refused to meet my eyes. I leaned closer to him, pressing one hand on the table in front of him and placing one on my hip. "I wonder why he didn't mention that to me before," I said, my eyes narrowing.
I felt a chuckle from behind me. "Oh this is going to be fun," I heard Jack snort.
Theo finally turned his head, giving me a weak sheepish look. "It slipped my mind?"
"What?" I exclaimed, backing myself away from his face. "How could you forget to tell me that someone stole the wolfsbane supply?" I wasn't exactly livid, it just confused me why he wouldn't tell me.
He sighed. "It happened a while back when you hadn't even recovered from your dose, I found out after you tried attacking me with that syringe."
"You tried attacking him with a syringe?!" Each of Theo's men shouted out, shock written on each of their faces.
"You tried attacking him with a syringe?" Jack snorted, his laughing becoming uncontrollable. I paused to shush him, kicking at his feet.
I turned back to Theo, crossing my arms over my chest. "Why didn't you tell me afterwards then, when I got more comfortable?" I asked, my eyes still narrowed in his direction.
He sighed, standing up and stepping closer to me. He placed a gentle hand on my shoulder. "You shouldn't have to worry about those things, you were just getting used to the pack I wasn't going to throw you into all the responsibilities."
My narrowed eyes were slowly calming, I cursed myself as I felt myself unconsciously forgiving him-- stupid mate bond.
I should be madder that he hid things from me however I couldn't help but melt in his touch, along with his eyes that were boring into mine.
"OK, OK, back away from the girl. You're way too close man," Jack growled lowly. I sighed irritated, turning to see how Jack had the glare that was once plastered on my face on his.
We are definitely related.
