《Alpha Theo || ✓》11 | daddy dearest

I felt my wolf leap in joy, purring at my Mate's decision.
Alpha Hayden, and his Beta Mace, looked at Holly as if she had just married the Devil, which made me let out a low growl. How dare they judge her decision to stay with her mate, which was the right decision.
Obviously.
"But your family needs--" Holly chimed in before her father could finish talking.
"No they don't." I knew it was hurting her to disobey her father, they are family of course but it doesn't make her decision any less right. Mates are made to be together, no one has a right to pull them apart. "Mum would want this, and you know that. I can always visit her."
Mates are what every Were dreams of. When you are just a pup, you'll be told stories about your mate and how he/she will love you to the end of time and that no matter what, they'll protect you from whatever threatens to harm you.
My grandfather, no matter how whipped he sounded, would tell me the story of how he met , and his eyes would shine in joy every second of the story. I was a beautiful story, and it was the story that made me dream of meeting my mate everyday.
I looked at Holly as she couldn't look her father in the eyes. She is beautiful, incredibly beautiful. Our meeting wasn't the greatest and I prayed that it could be easily forgotten.
"Holly..." She almost flinched at his voice and she still couldn't look at him straight in the eye, It was obvious that he felt disappointed by her decision, she was leaving her family after all. "Is this what you truly want? He isn't forcing you, is he?"
In respond, I let out a low growl directly towards him, which he had paid no attention to.
I would never force Holly to do anything, just the thought of it made me feel ill. I would never force myself on her, nor force her to do anything she would never want to do.
I'm not a monster, no matter what is said about me.
Holly's head snapped sharply up as the question left his mouth, my teeth clenching instantly while I mentally checked for any pain due to her sudden head movement.

As I watched Alpha Hayden look at his daughter, his face showed no emotion other than worry. He worried for her, even though she was completely safe with me. She was the safest with me, I was ready to protect her with my life.
"You know me, no one can force me to do anything." Holly's father let out a small snicker at her reply, a small smile resting on his face for the first time since he had showed up to my territory, not that I actually gave a shit-- you aren't my dad yet, bye now.
But the smile didn't last long as soon enough, his eyes became cold, meeting my own cold stare.
"Alpha Theo, may I speak to you in private?" I raised an eyebrow, looking at the multiple warriors that stood behind him. Then I looked back at the house, there were still wolves surrounding my pack members-- children and adults-- which made me feel a heat of anger. He has was threatening my pack members' lives, and I wasn't going to talk to him anywhere until my family was safe and sound in their pack house.
"As soon as you sent your men away-- all your men." My voice was low, my eyes slowly turning dark at the thought of my pack in danger. Alpha Hayden didn't even move his gaze and the warriors behind him began to back
'The wolves are leaving.' Grey spoke through the mindlink. I had sent him to guard the backyard, to make sure no one stepped out of place, when I had rushed to get Holly away from the house.
"My Beta is staying." Hayden gave me a blank stare, as his Beta stood his ground.
'Come and get Holly. Take her to my room.' I ordered Grey, I wasn't happy at all and I wasn't about to let Holly see me angry. After a few seconds, Grey had appeared in my sights, quickly escorting Holly away who had given me a confused look as Grey gestured her away. I didn't look at her in the eye, she would see the anger in my eyes and I wasn't ready to let that happen.
I was trying my hardest to hide the surprise about how easily she allowed Grey to pull her away.

"Where do you think are you taking my daughter?" Alpha Hayden had raised his voice while he watched his daughter being taken back to the pack house she now belonged in.
"You will no raise your voice at me, in my territory." I loudly snarled at him, I was furious. He was being disrespectful in a territory that he nor owned or had permission to enter. "Don't forget that you entered my territory without permission and there are deadly consequences for such stupid actions." The Beta took a step forward, obviously feeling defensive for his Alpha. I growled at Mace, my fists beginning to clench.
"You will not talk to my Alpha like tha--"
"And you will not talk at all!" I yelled, veins were most likely popping out of my neck. "You have no right to talk, let alone be here." My voice was still raised and it echoed through the trees that surrounded the pack house. Mace had shrunken back to his original place, but he decided not to shut the fuck up, which fueled my anger even more.
"You are not my A--"
"I will not hesitate to rip your throat out with my teeth if you talk one more time!" My voice had risen, the popping veins had reached my forehead. "I may not be your Alpha, but you trespassed and I will gladly send you to a death sentence if I hear your voice one more time." Mace had shrunken even further behind his Alpha, his head falling down as he looked at his feet.
Dumb dog.
Alpha Hayden had finally decided to speak after his Beta had failed to protect him. "You will not talk to my Beta like that. He belongs to my pack, not yours. Your orders mean nothing to him, nor me." I took a wide step forward, our noses almost touching due to how large of a step I took.
"I suggest you leave before I seriously lose my temper." I snarled, a harsh stare setting on my face.
"You don't frighten me Theo." His voice was laced with disrespect. It was incredibly disrespectful for a other pack member to call a Alpha by his first name without permission, even if it was another Alpha.
"Don't I, daddy dearest?" I taunted, which caused him to explode. He roared as he lunged at me, closing all distance between us.
My wolf growled at the disrespect and wanted nothing more than to rip this man's throat but I had to submerge the plan.
He was my mate's father, killing him would be inexcusable.
Hayden had thrown himself on me, his teeth snapping toward my neck as I quickly fought him off. With my legs, I kicked him backwards before pouncing on him. I growled in his face, the heat of my breath hitting his face. I dug the claws, that instinctively grew out of my fingertips, in to his shoulders and twisted my hands slowly. I snarled as he screamed in pain.
Before anything less could happen, I was thrown off of Alpha Hayden, him being dragged away by his Beta. I turned around sharply, ready to attack whoever had pulled me away when I saw it was Grey-- my mate standing at the door behind him, staring at her father with her eyes glistering with tears at the sight.
"I told you to take her away!" I yelled at my absent-minded Beta, furious that he had not followed his orders. I quickly spun away to see Mace in his wolf form, sprinting away with his pained Alpha. I let out a low snarl at the sight.
Cowards.
"I tried, but she heard the shouting." My head snapped back to Grey, his eyes at his feet as he knew he disobeyed. I then looked at Holly, who still stared at where her father had laid with my claws in his shoulder. It pained me that she had to witness that, but he was being disrespectful and I couldn't let him go without a scratch.
And he did start it, OK?
Before I could say a word to Holly, she had sprinted back in to house, my wolf hearing catching her feet pounding on the stairs as she ran upstairs, sniffling which meant she was crying.
It broke me inside that I had caused my mate to react like that, I had made her emotional, I felt sorry and I felt stupid for doing such a thing, but I didn't regret putting Alpha Hayden in his place.
Not one bit.

The Last Marshal
Weird West Fantasy Noir Once the Republic Marshals brought order to the chaotic lands along the Frontier, facing dangers both human and supernatural with ancient wisdom and a six-gun —but that was a long time ago. Destroyed by conspiracy and betrayal, all that remains of that secretive order is one nameless man on a trek though the West seeking revenge on the woman he blames for the Marshals' fall and his disgrace. When a visitor from our world joins him on his journey, they together must confront the horrors of a strange land, the mysteries of the past and the real meaning of their quest for justice. The world of Tellus is what 19th Century Earth would have looked like if the stories of Poe, Ambrose Bierce, Lovecraft and William Hope Hodgeson were real. History in this world moves slower. The old faiths persist and civilization never conquered the dark corners of the map, at least not without being inextricably changed. Technology and culture takes a little longer to evolve in this land, as people here tend to spend more time pursuing their elaborate revenge plots or trying to avoid being the next sacrifice to the Outer Gods rather than advancing science or statecraft. Imagine Cormac McCarthy by way of Edgar Rice Burroughs, though a little less testosterone-drenched than that description would imply. Three caveats: First, there are deep mysteries here, including how such a world came to be and who controls it. Second, this world is not wholly unconnected from our own. There is a historical point of divergence, but in the distant past. To paraphrase Twain: history in this world is not a repeat of our own, but it does often rhyme. And finally, this is not a setting that lends itself to happy endings.
