HIGH ACHIEVER,
DON'T YOU SEE?
❝ look at her. that's . amanda,
say hi to our friend. see that? well, that
pretty face knows every code to every
stark security system, shield technology
and avengers database. she can access
enough cameras and guns and contacts
to film you in the goddamn bathroom,
drop your browser history on twitter
or get you dead in a ditch. and she's
terrific at poker. so don't fuck with me,
and, more importantly, don't fuck with her. ❞

ㅤ she doesn't have many. most of the people she knows just call her amanda, due to a lack of intimacy mostly. notable exceptions, however, are:
ㅤ › agent stowe, when working for shield
ㅤ › miss stowe, a formal addressing
ㅤ › willie, by tony stark wanting to annoy her
ㅤ › madam, or ma'am, by steve rogers. it's the main thing he called her when they first met, out of formality, even with her asking otherwise; it's still his main pet name for her now.
ㅤ › 28 as of first avenger/the avengers, in 2012
ㅤ › 29 as of the winter soldier, in 2013
ㅤ › 32 as of civil war, in 2016
ㅤ › 34 as of infinity war, in 2018
ㅤ › 39 as of endgame, in 2023
cis female, she/her
biromantic and asexual.
ㅤ amanda can be romantically attracted by people on the entire gender spectrum, but feels no sexual attraction and is indifferent to sex.
new york, united states.
❝ you should never leave a lady waiting,
rogers. you knew that.❞

ㅤ › no noticeable scars, she's not exactly one for combat. no tattoos or big noticeable birthmarks as well.
ㅤ › a pair of lobe piercings for earrings.
ㅤ › amanda is always very elegant and takes good care of her appearance, due to both the formality of her working environments and her own preoccupation with looking the part. her hair is always impeccable, her nails done, her clothes don't have a crease.
ㅤ › she keeps her hair shoulder-length and takes good care of it every day before work.
ㅤ › her style is something around business casual. it's formal, but not flashy; elegant is the key word for amanda when it comes to appearance. her wardrobe is full of turtlenecks, simple dresses, sweaters and cardigans, button-up shirts; and almost all she has is something she has worn to work.
ㅤ › her outfits are also not heavy on accessories, with one notable exception, which are her earrings. amanda has a good bunch of different earrings she uses to work, and secretly she gets happy when someone notices them.
ㅤ › she's actually taller than most people imagine, with 1.75m, so she prefers to wear lower heels such as pumps. the clicking of her heels can be heard from a distance as she paces down the hallways.
❝ i'll help with anything you need.❞
ㅤ amanda is sharp as a tack, with her mind focused on her work and nothing else. a workaholic? maybe, but she'd rather not think about it that way. she most of the time keeps her temper at bay and is very level-headed, working well under pressure, which is an enormous quality when you work next to superheroes and all kinds of superpowered individuals — it's always a situation of whatever can go wrong, will go wrong. she's used to having to be the serious person around and keep her cool, mainly due to her work, so this doesn't open up a lot of space for doubting and rethinking. this facade of stone has a kind of collateral effect that amanda is somewhat emotionally distant — most of her friends don't actually know her, most people around her don't know what's on her mind. she's hard to read and interpret, and rarely discloses her emotions to the people around her. it's not that she doesn't trust anyone per se, she just tends to brush off or swallow her feelings in the name of efficiency and the greater good and whatnot. despite the lack of openness, she's actually dead loyal to those she cares about — amanda would straight up die for her friends or her job if needed. she just needs to tune down her perfectionism a bit, receive a good hug, and learn that it's not wrong to be sad or nervous or not know what to do.

ㅤ none. well, if shield training counts as a superpower... amanda is not a superhero, nor an avenger, nor a vigilante, nor whatever a superpowered individual calls themselves these days. she's actually one of the people who have to deal with those superpowered individuals.
ㅤ › shield training. due to her formation in shield's training academy, amanda is proficient in a series of skills, such as handling weapons, cracking codes, reading maps or interpreting intel. she has always been more comfortable in office-like jobs, so her training was more focused in the administrational and technological part of working at shield, but due to her time as an agent she can handle herself pretty well when needed.
ㅤ › first aid. either due to shield training, her habit of being prepared for things, or her dad's habit of being even more prepared for things, she knows first aid to a very good extent.
ㅤ › organization. amanda is a terrific planner and knows logistics like no one. either it is for throwing an event or managing the avengers compound, she's there to help. she's often the one actually responsible for planning and executing stark's parties.
ㅤ › stark technology. as a kind of personal assistant to stark and the avengers, amanda is at one point given the access to and taught how to use the security systems of the avengers compound and pretty much every big stark system that needs protection. she's supposed to know how to keep everything and everyone safe in case of an emergency.
ㅤ › card games. it's just a little piece of trivia, but amanda is a terrific poker player. she learned it from her father, along with other games, and she used to play cards a lot with her colleagues during training or with steve in his adaptation period. she also got a few dollars from stark before he knew of this fact.
ㅤ › heels. another small piece of trivia: amanda can run, fight, and generally do everything in heels. mostly her usual work pumps, she's not that fond of nor proficient with higher and thinner heels such as stilettos, but she can never count on time and safety to change shoes.
ㅤ › organization, it pleases her when things are going the way she wants them to, and she can only work when her desk is clean.
ㅤ › keyboards, she likes the sound the keys make when she's working.
ㅤ › coffee, she wouldn't have survived her crazy job without at least two cups a day.
ㅤ › her earrings, amanda likes choosing the pair she'll wear to work as a kind of morning ritual and gets secretly happy when someone compliments them or notices a new pair.
ㅤ › classical music, she listens to it when working or when simply at home. it has enough range to either help her relax, concentrate or simply get motivated to do something.
ㅤ › nuts, she likes to eat those caramel nut mixes. the only thing she doesn't like much is how sticky her fingers get with those.
ㅤ › jazz, her dad likes jazz a lot and she has very fond memories of listening, dancing and singing along to it with him in the living room.
ㅤ › spicy foods, her mom is thai so she grew up surrounded by thai cuisine and is used to a certain level of spice in dishes.
ㅤ › disorganization in general, chaos, messes, either in terms of logistics or a physical mess. amanda can't work in messy environments and is a bit of a neat freak.
ㅤ › beer, she hates the taste, the smell, everything about it. she's way more of a champagne or wine person.
ㅤ › the smell of gasoline, and strong smells alike. her nose gets irritated and it's unpleasant in general.
ㅤ › peas, she hates when there are peas randomly in a dish.
ㅤ › bees, alright, she knows their importance for the ecosystem and whatnot, but they can be important there, far away from her, with their buzzing.
ㅤ › oysters, she tasted them once when stark threw a dinner party in a seafood restaurant and wanted to vomit.
ㅤ › being underestimated, heavens, it drives her mad.
ㅤ › failure. amanda has an immense fear of failure that toes the unhealthy, as that leads to her sometimes neglecting her own health and well-being in name of the job or the greater good or something, even when not necessary or urgent. she pushes herself beyond her limit to avoid failure and that's honestly pretty worrying.
ㅤ › bees. okay, bees are kind of a problem. amanda is not a very fearful person — i mean, she literally works with superheroes for a living, but also she kills mosquitoes with electric racquets and smashes cockroaches with flip-flops. but bees... bees are a thing. a big thing.
❝ mr. stark, please don't do this.
keep in mind that i'm the one who's
gonna have to clean it.❞
ㅤ › SHIELD, up until captain america: the winter soldier.
ㅤ › stark industries, from the ending of age of ultron to the present.
ㅤ › the avengers, honorarily, due to her work in the avengers compound from its creation until its destruction.
ㅤ › early life & shield training. amanda's backstory is fairly normal, to be honest, at least until shield. that's when things get kinda weird. she was born in new york to a thai mom and american dad, had a normal childhood, finished high school at the top of the class, as you do. richard stowe, amanda's father, is a high-ranking officer in the military; ammara willard, her mother, is a successful lawyer; with a few recommendation letters from her father and his colleagues, commenting on her pragmatism, level-headedness and proficiency at problem solving, amanda got an entrance in shield's training academy of communications, where she received her physical and operational training to be an agent. she did not go much into the field, rather working at shield bases with strategy, data analysis and logistics. amanda rose through the ranks, building her career on shield, and that's when the superpowered people, heroes and villains galore, arrived — amanda worked with shield and fury in the big week, the avengers initiative, the loki situation, and apparently whatever crap the world threw on earth's way. wow.
ㅤ › captain america & the avengers initiative. in 2012, amanda was assigned probably her most important duty to that day: she would be part of the team to supervise and document the process of adaptation and recovery of steve rogers, aka captain america. amanda worked closely with steve for a period of time, they interacted very often and bonded with each other in a way the rest of the team didn't exactly manage to do. they seemed to simply click, and even after the adaptation period their relationship developed into a friendship; amanda was assigned to check in on steve from time to time, and eventually they started going out organically as well. it was around this time that the avengers initiative was born, and agent stowe was once again assigned to the case, working closely with fury, coulson and hill on the command room of the helicarrier.
ㅤ › winter soldier & leaving shield. amanda kept on working for shield after the chitauri invasion, especially dealing with superhero matters, until the revelation of the hydra conspiracy and the dismantling of shield. a hunt for hydra operatives was initiated and shield itself was under fire — several agents were arrested, killed or went missing, while everyone could be a traitor in disguise. amanda left shield amidst the chaos, she didn't want to risk her career more than it was already stained. she spent a couple months laying low, moved back in with her parents, but it wasn't long until she received an offer to get back to work: the avengers needed management help.
ㅤ › thanks to a work offer from happy, which she promptly accepted, amanda started to work for tony stark on the avengers compound, right after its activation. she worked on management and mission control, and ran some errands for stark and the avengers as a sort of personal assistant to them. this got her in very close contact with the avengers. her relationship with steve also evolved during this contact, as she came to realize her feelings for him a while earlier.
ㅤ › the period of harmony didn't last long, however, as the civil war broke amidst the avengers. amanda had a stable job, she couldn't exactly take sides, she had already risked too much; so she could only watch as former friends fought each other and half the team went on the run — including steve, despite her pleas for him not to do so. as the avengers were practically no more at this point, amanda kept on working now for stark and stark industries in the compound and as a personal assistant. she briefly came in contact with peter parker during this time.
ㅤ › she spent two more years working for stark in the compound, now his main residence, when the looming threat of thanos became an emergency. along with that, the runaway avengers returned — bringing back more emotional and literal conflict than she ever liked to deal with —, and they had little to no time to prepare for anything. the battle against thanos and the blip took a toll on everyone, and amanda spent the five years after the blip as a secretary, assistant, helper and impromptu emotional support for the avengers, in times when help was much needed. she bounced between the compound and several stark industries facilities, running errands in the name of stark and the corporation, still very close to the avengers. it was also during these five years that she mended her somewhat turmoiled love life, with rogers' return and their reapproximation as survivors of the blip. however, that didn't stop him from leaving.

8 133Hugh Johnson and the Seven Evil Alts
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Hugh Johnson was having a bad day. First there was the stupid long line to get into Comiket, then Truck-kun smashed him into paste, a lolii-goddess who punched him into another world, and finally, a wolf that decided to snack on him. And that was just the last 15 minutes. Now he needs to save Eternasy from the Seven Evil Alternate characters he created while playing Endless Fantasy before they destroy the world. Who knew that your actions in a game would have real-world consequences? Join Hugh as he takes on his first Evil Alt and journeys to the Lair of Daemon Wyrm. Hugh Johnson and the Seven Evil Alts will contain tropes familiar to readers of Japanese isekai light novels - a humorous progression fantasy with slice of life scenes, cute girls, burley men, dungeons, magic, and mayhem. Be warned that the MC is not a clueless weeb who has no idea how women or the world works. Expect this to read like hot garbage, and you will not be disappointed. I never expected to toss it into the Writeathon, but I have poor impulse control, so here we are.
8 186Warmage: A Progression Fantasy

Cunning and resourceful, Shaya worked hard to keep her and her brother safe, clawing themselves out of a system set against them and gaining the power they needed to find their way in life again. Now, she’s achieved the first step of her dreams: she's been accepted to the prestigious Imperial Academy of War and Magic. In order to become the best gods damned Warmage around, all she has to do is overcome the Imperial system that wants to see her fail and control the demonic blood in her veins that wants for nothing but rage and violence. ...but hey, every obstacle is an opportunity to exploit – if you’re willing to think smart and work hard. Updates Sunday - Tuesday - Thursday![successful participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Rating: This should align pretty closely with your typical MCU movie, so PG-13 for scenes of fantasy violence. There'll be gore and some swearing but not much beyond that. If that changes, I'll warn you. MC: Shaya is analytical, but begins the story emotional and impulsive. She leans towards rationality and uses this to control her demonic impulses to the best of her abilities. She begins the story as a somewhat capable protagonist, but grows in power steadily through hard work and diligence. Fights: ...I like fight scenes. They’re going to be detailed, but I won’t drown you in description of individual hand movements or footwork. I like fights that can be solved like puzzles by the audience, where creative thinking wins the day using tools you know the protagonist has at their disposal.
