So, it's been a while since I updated on this story, and I will have to confess, I have struggled to write this story. In all honesty, I have grown out of love for the It fandom (after the movies) and have moved on to other fandoms, and unfortunately, I have found that I haven't grown fond of this fic - mainly due to trying to come up with how I want this to end.
There was once a time when I knew how I wanted this fic to end, but now, almost two years later, I have lost inspiration.
I don't want to end this story in defeat, but I don't think I'll be able to continue on with this anymore. It's unfortunate to say, but I think I will not be able to continue on with this anymore.
It hurts to say it, and I know that I shouldn't back down from a story, but it should be the only way to do this. I appreciate this journey we've made, but this will be the last word you hear from me.
Thank you, everyone, for liking this story, for continuing to read on when I had given up hope. Thank you all for giving me a chance and I enjoyed being in the It fandom.

NOTE: I, as an 'author' am on a(n) (indefinite?) Hiatus. Without getting into too many details, the person who convinced me to write, who was my muse and my everything, is no longer in my life. I think about writing and I get physically ill and ache in ways that transcend the physical. I want to want to write, but I cannot find the energy. With the help of Cara, his unnatural roommate, and Ash, his nature spirit companion, Manning dreams of covering the continent with the most beautiful and dangerous forest it has ever seen. His only other goals are to protect himself and Cara, and if he could ever remember, recover his memories. This is my first time attempting to write anything. Updates whenever I can find the energy and desire to write.

Male Lead: self explanitory, Magic: Also easy, Strong Lead: Think of this as more of a weak-to-strong tag the MC will be OP but not till later in the story. Warning: Since this fic is labeled as 'Strategy' I believe that the readers should know as much as possible about the situations presented in the story so they can reach their own conclusions about how a fight could have been won or lost. That means: there are a lot of information dumps early on. I don't know how long I'll be able to write this fic but I promise to keep my few readers informed in case I decide to drop it or something.

Full body experience virtual reality or FBEVR (pronounced as fever in english), is now the main source of entertainment for most of humanity. However society does have it's darker side, as the losers of the "Last War" have been pushed to the edges of human society, forced to work for the state as "punishment" for their sins. One such "Sinner" is a former E-sports celebrity of an old style VRMMO called Underworld was now a nobody known as Mark Ulrich. Mark, who now lives cut off from most of modern society with his teenage daughter and the ghosts of the Last War deep in Arizona's Sonoran Desert, is visited by an old friend Leo about a new FBEVRMMO which is to be released soon called Underworld-GOLD, with an offer to reprise his old glory.
