《Relentless》Friday
Advertisement
It all started in a typical Friday.
You came back from school, exhausted from a long day of work.
Which mostly consisted of bearing long, tedious lectures from teachers, whom most of the time didn't know what they were talking about.
If it weren't for the other students constant bickering, you'd actually be able to sneak in a small nap.
Oh, the students.
They were the worst.
Scratch that out.
They are the worst.
You were capable of making friends if you had your mind set to it, but chose not to.
You were alone, and with no friends.
But you didn't mind.
What was the purpose of acquainting with someone that could care less about your well being.
One second they're there, and the next they're gone.
It was Friday.
'Oh, have I mentioned that already?'
There are plenty of tasks to do.
Such as cleaning, studying and finishing homework from a class.
But as always, you did it at the last minute on a Sunday night.
Not wanting to ruin the day by doing nothing, you planned to go out.
The sun was already setting down, and you hurried up and changed to go out for the evening.
You packed up a few snacks in case you got hungry, and as well as your cellular device.
Once you were ready, and took a quick trip to the restroom, you were set to go.
You lived alone, and went off by yourself to God knows where.
The movie theater?
The mall?
You weren't certain.
How about the park?
The weather was beautiful.
Wasn't too hot, nor too cold. The sun was almost out of view, but not completely.
Not many people were out, and that was just perfect.
It took about 10-15 minutes to arrive.
You settled down a nearby table, feeling slightly uncomfortable due to the hard surface.

Not that it mattered.
You shrugged it off and pulled out a sketchpad from your bag, that had numerous amount of utensils.
Even though you were no Vincent Van Gogh, that didn't mean you couldn't enjoy creating your art.
No matter how bad it may look to others.
Taking a deep breathe in and enjoying the view was relaxing.
There was not many people to disturb you, and you started working quiet fast since there weren't any distractions.
Starting from the riverbank, and drawing every detail as perfect as you could. Almost close to the real life thing.
Just as you were about to finish, there was a sudden noise.
But you ignored it.
'Must be the other few people..' you thought.
You went back to your drawing, but stopped when you heard steps.
Steps that sounded like they were coming toward you.
Obviously you were startled, and concerned of what it might be.
What made it even weird was the sudden change in weather.
It was close to summer, but you could see ice crystals starting to drop one by one around you.
Now you were really freaked out.
You wanted to leave, and run as far as you could from the park.
Why risk getting potentially hurt by this unknown force?
The thought of dying scared you, but at the same time excited you.
But just like everyone, you still had things you wanted to do. Even though they may seem impossible.
It wouldn't hurt to try.
Curiosity got the best out of you, and you stepped closer to where the sound was coming from.
Still, you saw nothing.
Should you continue to go near the strange noise that could possibly be some crazy serial killer?
or
Run away from the potential danger like any normal person would?

But of course, you are nothing but normal.
Being normal isn't that fun anyway.
Whispers were coming from nearby bushes, and that was it to have you scared senseless.
You ran as fast as you could back home, not wanting to know anymore what it was.
There were still whispers and laughter of children too. You wanted no part of it.
Running wasn't your thing, and you got tired easily.
'shit.' you muttered.
You've forgotten your materials.
At least you had your phone.. and oh!
Might I also add, alive.
Since the trip to the park and home weren't that far, you arrived pretty quick.
This had to be fake..
What did I witness?
What didn't you witness?
You felt stupid for running away for no reason, but what if there was something?
You weren't sure, but what you did know for sure was that it was it for the day.
No more creepy shit.
Tired and terrified of what it might've been, you fell asleep after an hour or two of fidgeting.
Suddenly there were no more worries, you've fallen asleep.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Hours passed and you were pretty knocked out.
The door slightly creeped open, but not loud enough to waken you up.
In came your bag attached to a bright red balloon.
Along with a note.
