《A Baby For The Beast》54. Nymphean woman

"I met the Goddess,"
I started off, brokenly, still sitted on the Royal chamber's bed with him.
"She told me all sort of unexplainable things, like how my blood is an original Scavenger's."
No more secrets...he had said. Had to tell him the entire scene from my nightmare, or I won't be at rest.
"Ada was right," I carried on, saying. "She talked about the same destiny..."
"Ava." Caspian whispered, cutting my words and taking my hands in his to calm me down.
"She wants an eradication. She quests to put an end to all creatures she created. And I-I, tried giving her reasons not to. That only made her mark me as a rebel."
"She does?" he asked. "Thought we had an agreement. She gave me her requirements, not to be a weak King, and I followed everything. So why?"
"Don't know," I sighed, before continuing. "I just hate that we're in the middle of this...I mean, we have a pup to protect. What if it all goes wrong, Cas?" I added, in a worried tone.
"It won't."
He seethed, in a protective tone. Kissing my forehead, his thumbs spread across my cheeks warmly. We were both silent for a brief while, like pondering on everything.
It was broken after some moments though.
"What creatures did she mention?" he suddenly asked.
"Something about..."
My eyes directed to the window. I stood up from his hold, to raise the curtains so the daylight entered. Today looked like it was going to have a good weather, from the way the morning birds tweeted, the cocks crowed.
I closed my eyes, trying to picture exactly how she had said it.
"...wolves, beasts, vampires and witches. She called them a danger to humanity. The Goddess did the strangest of things, you know." I told him. "Deeds which were very unlikely for a universal being."
I stepped back to the bed to sit with him, slipping my dress on, in the process.
Caspian narrowed his eyes at me, with desire lurching through. It was brief though, gone as soon as I was decent.
"How did she look like?"
He suddenly enquired again.
I wondered why he wanted to know. That was so far from the crucial thing.
"Silver long hair, Face like an Elven or Nymph heritage, clothes in the purest form of white, and an aura that exuded power."
"The raw form of control." I added consciously.
At my words, my mate trembled, with a shaken look.
"It.Can't.Be." he gulped.
His hands beheld his head that minute, like he was having a migraine. Palms spread across his ears, like the entire room was noisy and earsplitting.

"No, no, no..."
He trailed faintly.
"Caspian, are you okay?" I asked hastily.
"Hey,"
I reached out for him, he however ripped his hands off, giving a vicious and cold growl.
"Get your hands off me, you evil Nymph!" he exclaimed. I winced at how hurtful he sounded, suddenly feeling an urge to throw up.
"Caspian?"
I let out. The second I did, he surfaced to his beast, with a gigantic and towering gaze to mine. Breathing in fast paces, still staring at me, yet, like I was a foreign entity.
"Bastard."
He suddenly seethed, in a doubled voice.
"What? Who are you talking about?" I cried out, pouting my lips in hurt at his sudden state.
"Teta..."
He trailed his father's name out fiercely, hands in defense like he was protecting himself from something.
When he transformed, his beast stood up, pouncing on the floor in a heavy thud. As he did, broken shambles followed, destroying the entire piece and everything that it entailed.
"W-what are you talking about?" I repeated, swallowing nervously at his present state.
"This, he planned this from the start. He did!!!"
He yelled furiously, using his two paws this time, hitting everything around him in rage.
"Planned what? What did he plan?"
He gave a pained growl at my words, taking steps towards me. As he did, I took steps back, watching his silver-grey eyes, dilating into a dark shade. Pure black, with streaks of sad tears in them.
In my wolfless form, I couldn't even synch with his beast anymore...
Hated that I couldn't share his hurt...or know how much of pain he felt.
"Please don't go, mate. I need you." he sadly let out.
"Okay..." I creaked.
"...but I need to know what's going on."
"Fine." he answered. "Fine."
....
It was so bad.
Too bad, that I wept to myself about what he had to go through.
The woman with the silver white hair was his great grandmother. After Caspian accidentally killed his sister, his father's traumatizing him, wasn't the end.
His father sent him into the forest, told him to wait until she came for him.
She did come for him... she came for him but it wasn't what he expected.
Every day, he'd yell from her tortures.
"Get your hands off me, you evil Nymph!"
But she never left him. She'd extract his blood, to create other creatures to do her bidding.
They were all from his beast blood. My mate was the original Supernatural, that's why his beast had violence tendencies.
That's why he lost so much control at times...

"I want my mum..." he'd trail, every single day.
Yet, he got nothing from it.
"You're a curse to humanity, child." she'd tell him. "Even killed your own sister, your own blood. Be grateful that you're useful in this way."
This old woman, had a Nymphean blood like I suspected. What I didn't know was how exactly she turned Moon Goddess.
Not surprised, cause either way, she created all Supernaturals. With Caspian's blood of course.
No wonder she wanted me to eliminate him for her. She focused on him, because once he wasn't breathing, the rest died off too.
...
Caspian felt guilty, after the earlier scene but I told him not to. It really wasn't his fault, in any way. Wasn't his fault, he had a beast in him...
After my morning duties as Queen, I checked on Piper and the girls. They were studying pretty good, when I heard a wailing sound.
"Please, Your Highness!!"
A groan of agony echoed down the hall.
"My King, please show mercy!" another yelled.
The girls gasped immediately, all panicking at the sounds that came next.
"Silence!"
The newly appointed Knight told them. I gave Felicia a re-assuring glance, rushing towards the scene with my hands on the hems of my gown.
I was shocked at what I saw in front of me. There were about three bleeding guards.
And...and, Caspian's beast was right in front of them, with blood seeping from his paws.
"W-what's happening here?" I asked.
My mate's gaze connected with mine; however, it was unrecognizable. Pure and dilated black. Filled with intense coldness. He commenced, again, slashing another guard's hands fuming so much.
Why was he doing this?
"Caspian, you have to stop. Please." I hastily uttered, rushing to him.
"You don't understand, Ava." he answered. "They let them escape. Those three people who caused you agony and suffering. They escaped!!"
I gulped in realization, at his words, feeling entirely astonished.
Francesca, Cicilia and Satandra were gone? How?
Wasn't even given enough time to think.
"Please, Your Highness! We'll help you find them!" one exclaimed.
"Have mercy!!!"
Another held my legs, exclaiming. I shifted away from his hands, running to Caspian who just advanced out with his beast speed.
He had rushed out, and was preparing a furnace. I furrowed my brows at his movements.
"Stop.It."
I gritted out. "You're going too far. We should investigate what truly happened, instead of this."
But he didn't reply.
Was he still shaken from the return of the woman with the white hair?
What was wrong with him?
"It's not for them." he seethed.
Huh? Then who was it for?
I smiled in realization, at the fact that he'd even think to do this for me.
The furnace, it was for Francesca, Satandra and Cicilia. Yet... I only looked forward to avenge the dead girls.
Satandra was a pawn with an evil mind, yet she didn't succeed in her mission to eliminate me. I didn't want her to die for Tania's sake.
"My Queen," Elder Zu uttered, while Caspian prepared the furnace for the perpetrators.
"Master Zu." I acknowledged.
"Rushed down as soon as I heard what happened." he stated fiercely. "His beast has lost control like this, in the past. We have to tame him, Your Highness!" he exclaimed, with guards surrounded by his side.
"No! You can't!" I yelled angrily, snatching a sword from a guard. The girls already gathered outside, with some commoners of the Kingdom, who came to settle disputes.
"He didn't mean to do that to the guards! You all pissed him off!" I added angrily.
"This is a necessary evil, Your Highness. It's all to avoid an irrevocable one. Please understand!!" Elder Zu yelled. He wielded his sword towards Caspian, who was in his beast form and insensitive to what was going on around him.
"You did it right from the start, calling him a murderer for the death of his sister!" I cried, with gritted teeth.
"My mate's not a monster!!!"
At my words, they submitted, swinging their swords back to its sheath.
"Our faith lies in you, My Queen."
Elder Zu dropped to his knees, and so did the rest of the palace guards.
Suddenly, a bunch of arrows hit Caspian who growled in agony. His bloody body connected to the floor, while I wore an astonished look of shock and confusion.
It wasn't from the guards.
It wasn't.
Something wasn't right...
Who shot those??
"Caspian!!!"
I yelled, with streaks of tears occupying my eyes. The sight of his body on the floor hopelessly, made my heart cry out in aching.
"Save me, Ava."
Last words he said, before passing out on the floor.
