“Milord, I summoned the seer already. She is present, should I bring her in?”

“Yes, Jaskier.”

I replied immediately. I knew to put an end to this insanity, I had to re-hear the prophecy. I needed to know what the Moon Goddess had in store for me. What she had in store for my mate. What she had in store for my Kingdom.

How she intended to punish me, for my past sins.

The door opened, jeering me out of my thoughts. I stood up immediately, taking in the presence of the Historical Witch Nynaeve.

“To whom do I owe this honor? The beast himself, summoning me?”

She remarked slyly, as she made her way inside my Royal office. Her lengthy ox-blood gown, sweeping the floor just behind her.

“You know why I send for you, Nynaeve. Over the years, we’ve worked hands together protecting my dynasty.”

I answered, standing up to pay respect.

The seer was a brown-skinned, with dark lips. Her face coated in ancient engravings, with white chalks.

She had lived through time, and was terribly old.

However, her portions kept her ever-glowing and young.

“Straight to the point, King Caspian.”

“What do you want from me, after these years?” she asked, settling on a seat.

“I need to know what you see, Nynaeve.”

I stated.

Her hands outstretched towards me.

“It all comes with a price, My King.”

I immediately opened my drawer, bringing out pieces of gold and throwing it to her. She caught it, handing it to some rat in her bosoms.

She was always the one to do creepy things.

“Tell me.”

I ordered. She smiled, showcasing her white sets of teeth. Surprisingly they were still that way. Thanks to her portions, anyway.

“It’s being hundreds of years you know. I suspect the Moon Goddess has changed her course.”

Nynaeve let out, drawing some shapes on the office board with a chalk.

She sprinkled some salt on her vicious circle, placing a crystal ball in the middle.

Then suddenly, her eyes changed into dark purple.

A horrid look was worn on her face instantly.

I got rid of my coat in impatience. Standing up, and pouncing my movements towards her instantly.

“So? Do you still see the war?”

Dark tears begin to flow from her pupils.

“Worse.”

“This is so much darker and worse.”

“Tell me!”

I urged, holding the sides of her arms as she was held in trance.

“What do you see?”

“A war, a very bad war with lots of killings and bloodsheds.”

“I see the end of districts. I see the end of this dynasty. I see a man, consumed with evil.”

“With an intent to destroy everything you’ve worked so hard to build. In the name of power.”

“And? What can we do to stop it?”

“No idea.”

“Then search! Look for clues, Nynaeve. I need answers!”

I urged. She began to pant in heavy breaths, trembling softly. I watched as her body swelled. She did that sometimes when the prophecy was deep.

So, I knew her life wasn’t on line.

“There’s a girl.”

“Describe her!!”

“A young girl.”

She echoed powerfully. Her voice doubled. This was indeed a revelation from the Goddess herself.

“Skin as pale as the snow, lips as red as a cherry. Hair as dark as a raven.”

I widened my eyes at her description.

“Ava.”

I murmured under my breath.

“What else do you see, Nynaeve?”

“What do we have to do to prevent this?!” I exclaimed.

My beast was surfaced in anger and frustration.

“Tell me!!”

“Still searching, milord…”

“It all seems scattered. I’m trying to make my way to the puzzle.”

“Please give me time--"

“We have no time!!”

“Search Nynaeve, search diligently. Please.”

I crumbled on my knees, saying as I let go of her.

As a King, I had so much responsibility.

My people.

My subjects.

How couldn’t I have gotten to the bottom of this yet?

How?

Just as I stood up, walking away to seat on my office’s chair, she suddenly let out a sound.

Whirlwind begun to blow around, shattering glasses and ceramics of centuries.

But I couldn’t care less.

“Something new?”

I rushed to her saying. Nynaeve began floating in the air, with the wind surrounding her in a whirlpool.

A normal human would have been thrown from the force but I was a beast.

A vendetta to humanity.

Strong, powerful, callous.

“S-something new, milord!” she cried out.

“Tell me!”

“I see a chest. I see a dangerous Dragon Emperor of the Sea.”

“Father.”

I muttered.

“To defeat the Dragon, there is need to find the chest,”

She said, wearily. The revelation was making her tired but she couldn’t stop there?!

“Where is it chest? How can we find it, Nynaeve?!”

I growled, with my pupils dilating into pure black.

“Only…”

She trailed out, with a smile.

“Only?”

“Only…”

“Talk dammit!”

I swore.

“Only…the chosen one and the possessor can view it.”

She stated, already settling. The wind around her seemed to be vacating.

Was that the end of the prophecy?

This couldn’t be.

“No, no, don’t snap out yet. Tell me more, Nynaeve.”

I pondered. “How do we put an end to this chaos?!”

“With…”

“…an act of love,”

“…splash of bravery…”

“and a bite of sacrifice.”

“Only then, will this come to an end.”

Just as she finalized, she fell on the floor with her entire body frozen and trembling.

I knew she was passing through a concussion.

This happened usual, when the prophecy could cause a great destruction.

“Guards!”

I yelled. They rushed in immediately.

“Take her to the pack doctor.”

I ordered at her body.

“And send a maid to clean these, returning her items safely to her.”

“Yes, your Grace.”

….

I assembled troops immediately. All lined up in their fighting navy blue uniforms. With their weapons by their side.

They stood at attention at my command. They were to leave before the first sunset tomorrow.

My beast acknowledged their submission before I started.

“I want you to sail to every district. Settle on every island in search of a golden chest.”

“A locked gold chest with ancient engravings on it. Bring whatever you can find!” I added.

“And, do not come back without something to show for it.”

“Am I clear?!”

“Yes, your majesty!”

They all answered, bowing down.

Suddenly, Jaskier rushed in with haste, running like he was being chased.

“Milord!”

He exclaimed.

“What is it, Jaskier?”

“I-It’s Lady Ava.”

“Ava?? What about her?”

“She challenged the Knight Lydia to a duel. They’re in the battleground as we speak.”

“What?!!”

You’ve got to be kidding me.
