《Jenlisa | Guide To Raising The Sick Villain》50

When Jennie and Gaeul returned to the dormitory, Nancy was arguing with another girl named Yujin in the dormitory.
Jennie lived in a dormitory with a total of eight people, but the overall group was divided into three or four smaller groups. Everyone lived under the same roof. It couldn't be said that as a whole they had the best relationship, every day there would be some small friction here and there.
However, it was rare to have a direct quarrel like this.
When Jennie and Gaeul entered, there were two girls in the dormitory besides the people arguing. One was a friend of Nancy when she was in middle school. Jennie heard that the other was not only friends with Nancy in Middle school, but also in the first grade. They had a very good relationship.
Nancy would often bring these two girls to the dormitory. Jennie would also nod her head to say hello when she saw them.
Currently, Nancy and Yujin were quarreling, the two girls stood on the side embarrassed, Jennie and Gaeul listened for a while before they understood why they were quarreling.
The students who could enter Class 18 were once the top students in their own class, but after these students were put together into the 18th class in their second year, they may not be first or second in the class like before.
Jennie got the best grade in the dormitory. After all, she sat firmly in her position as the second in the grade. On the other hand Nancy was the worst in the dormitory, her grades were in the middle and lower reaches of the 18th class, but she could still enter the top 200 of the grade. Yujin and Gaeul are about the same, both in the middle, but Yujin was slightly better than Gaeul.
But Yujin was undoubtedly the most hard-working, she worked so hard that she could go toe to toe with first year Jennie on effort alone.
Yujin studied in the classroom day in and day out, and she always left the latest out of everyone. Even then, she had to do practice questions every noon during lunch and night before going to bed. As a result, when Nancy took her good friend back to the dormitory. The three of them chatted while eating melon seeds, and their voices were not quiet.
The relationship between the other people in the dormitory and Nancy wasn't very good, but it wasn't a big deal for these two girls to often come to the dormitory, but today it was a big deal. It just so happened that Yujin was there today, and she quarreled with Nancy because she couldn't concentrate with her constant chattering. She had asked Nancy to be quieter but Jennie had no idea what Nancy said but the two ended up quarreling.
When Jennie and Gaeul came back, the two of them had already been arguing for a long time, and the content of the quarrel had risen to the point that Nancy said that the dormitory excluded her, and even her good friends were not allowed to come. Yujin responded by directly asking Nancy why she thinks she was excluded, does nothing come to mind?
Nancy's expression turned dark.
Nancy really doesn't understand, since she first came to the dormitory, she tried every means to build a good relationship with everyone, but in the end no one appreciated it.
Nancy was probably a fire in Yujin's stomach. Recently, she had been holding back for a long time. Today, she had all the reason and time to burst out. She knew that Nancy was constantly chatting about boys in the classroom, but that was the classroom and she didn't care. But even when they were back to the dormitory, every time she opened her mouth it was about a boy who had nothing to do with her!

"It's fine if you don't study well by yourself. But it's not good to disturb others and make them like you. I've already said a few times not to take other class members into the dormitory when I'm studying! Didn't you see me reading?"
Nancy also got angry and immediately sneered, "You work hard every day, but do you see your grades rising?!. If you have the ability, be like Jennie, who gets to be tutored daily by the first in the grade, and maybe then you can become second in the grade!"
Jennie, who had just walked in and said nothing. "..."
Nancy talked about this gossip in secret, but as soon as she turned her head, she saw Jennie. The scene suddenly became awkward and Nancy's face went stiff. Everyone looked at her, especially Jennie. She suddenly remembered Lisa's care for Jennie, but also thought of Lisa's cold threat to her, not only was she not guilty, instead she resented Jennie more and more.
This abrupt anger turned into pure hatred and gave birth to a twisted mentality that everyone was bullying her. Unable to handle it she left the dormitory, leaving behind a final sentence, "I've had enough"
After Nancy and her two friends left, Gaeul was speechless, "Why is she fed up? I should be the one fed up with her!"
They were all sixteen or seventeen. Everyone had the ability to distinguish between good or bad people. Nancy, no matter how enthusiastic she was on the surface, she would talk ill of others secretly. Everyone here was a student in the top class, and they only had to study, but only Nancy put her mind on asking who had a good family situation and tried to please the boys in class every day.
Yujin finally had enough and quarreled after her, it was refreshing to hear her finally getting scolded and no one blamed her But some didn't understand why Jennie was suddenly pulled in, "Why did she suddenly pull you into the fight, what did you do?"
"Who knows, "Gaeul said, "It wasn't like her animosity towards Jennie appeared a day or two ago, we've all known that she's been talking behind Jennie's back. Does she think we're blind or something?"
"Jennie, why does she always target you?"
"I don't know," Jennie said.
Several other people also found it inexplicable.
"Maybe she likes Jackson and is jealous of Jennie..." Gaeul said after a while.
Jennie frowned and did not speak. She intuitively felt that this was not the case. When she recalled Nancy's words just now, Nancy had brought up Lisa.
Jennie was very sensitive to everything about Lisa. Looking back, Nancy did mention Lisa a lot in the dormitory. She often asked Jennie about Lisa from time to time, and it was because Nancy constantly asked her whether or not Lisa's family conditions were good or not that Jennie alienated herself from Nancy.
Although everyone was very curious about Lisa, there had never been a person as interested s Nancy. Jennie suddenly remembered the document that Lisa personally handed to Nancy that she didn't know the contents of. She remembered how Nancy had taken one look at the document and her entire face changed.
Lisa said that this was something that someone from outside of their class wanted to give Nancy, and he was only responsible for passing it on. Jennie didn't think much about it at the time. But when she looked back, she only felt that there were many errors and omissions.
Lisa was never someone who would take the initiative to help people hand over things, and Nancy became very frightened after reading the document, and her fright was clearly directed at Lisa.

So something must have happened between Nancy and Lisa, whether it was good or bad, Jennie didn't know.
This made Jennie a little uncomfortable. Since she met Lisa, there has never been any secret between the two, but now Lisa was hiding something from her.
This feeling made Jennie indescribably uncomfortable.
She wanted Lisa to make other friends, but if this person was Nancy...
Jennie was suddenly a little uncertain.
___________
In the afternoon, Jennie turned her head, looked at where Nancy was, and then whispered to Lisa, "Lisa, did you like it when we sat there?"
"No," Lisa said decisively, he had answered without thinking, indicating that it was true.
Jennie breathed a sigh of relief, thought about it, and then asked, "Then do you think Gaeul is better than Nancy."
When she suddenly mentioned Nancy's name, a sharp color passed by Lisa's eyes.
Lisa has never hated a person so much, someone so disgusting that he could clearly perceive the meaning of the words disgusting.
But he also didn't like Gaeul. This girl was Jennie's closest friend of the same sex. She shared too much of Jennie's attention and time.
But if he had to choose one...
Lisa was silent for a moment and said, "Gaeul."
Jennie was relieved.
She didn't want to take the initiative to ask what happened between Lisa and Nancy, as long as it was something Lisa didn't want to say, Jennie would not force him to say it.
After leaving the matter behind, Jennie suddenly discovered that Lisa's birthday was coming soon.
Jennie was half a year older than Lisa. Lisa's birthday was in October and Jennie's was in July.
In the beginning, when Jennie deliberately followed Aunt Chen to call Lisa "Lili", Lisa said that she couldn't call him that. At that time, Jennie had said, "I am a few months older than you, so why can't I call you that?"
Lisa was dumbfounded for a long time, but couldn't think of a reason to refute Jennie. Jennie thought that his rare dumbfounded expression was so cute that she finally stopped bullying him and calling him "Lili".
Last year, when Jennie was working on Lisa's birthday, Lisa still didn't say a word to her, and Jennie naturally didn't know Lisa's birthday. Now it was going to be Lisa's birthday again, and Jennie thought left and right but couldn't think of what gift to give Lisa.
Due to her limited conditions, Jennie's vision was not very broad. Jennie thought a bit, and after some thought, she finally decided to ask Lisa directly.
Lisa had already noticed that Jennie was lying on the table, neither reading nor sleeping, and didn't know what she was thinking.
The thoughts currently running through her mind, was any of them about him?
Even if he clearly knew that his feelings were doomed to be one sided, Lisa was greedy and couldn't help but think like this, even if it was just a little bit. After all, Jennie still didn't know what he was thinking, he still held a certain amount of weight in her heart.
This period was a self-study period, and so everyone was studying, Jennie lowered her voice and called his name quietly, "Lisa, your birthday is coming soon."
Lisa was startled.
Turning his head to face Jennie's black pupils, his heart beat violently, and he couldn't help but want to ask, what were you thinking about all the time that you were in a daze?
But he didn't dare to ask. He also didn't expect Jennie to explain as if she understood Lisa's expression, "I was thinking about it for a long time, but I couldn't think of what gift I should give you. I can't afford an expensive one, and cheap ones aren't good either. I couldn't think of one in the end, so I wanted to ask you directly if you have anything you want."
So she was in a daze just thinking about this matter, Lisa's heart seemed to be filled up little by little.
Lisa suddenly felt that he was too greedy.
No one had ever cared about him enough to approach him. A long time ago, he had yearned for someone like this, later Jennie appeared. She was so kind to him, and he should have been satisfied with that, but he didn't control his desire to get closer to her, it came to a point where he wanted to take her as his own.
Actually, he should have been satisfied a long time ago, right? He wanted too much and he was too greedy, that's why he lived so painfully.
Lisa shook his head and said, "I can't think of anything either."
He wanted only one thing, but this thing was an extravagant hope that he would never dare to say out loud. Besides that one thing, Lisa really couldn't think of what else he wanted.
"Then let's think about it slowly. Tell me when you think of it. But if I think of something, I will surprise you on your birthday", Jennie said, but then added, "You must tell me when you think of it, as long as it is affordable I can give it to you."
You can't afford it.
Lisa thought.
I want your life, you don't have to give your life to someone like me.
But he kept those thoughts to himself, and instead nodded and said okay.
Jennie squinted, her eyebrows curled up, and it still made him feel tempted. She took out a pair of earphones from her school bag and put them on to start her homework. After writing two sentences, she glanced at Lisa and asked him, "Do you want it?"
Lisa was stunned.
...What...do I want it?
Jennie handed him the earbud on her right ear, "Do you want to listen to music together, the class is noisy today."
Lisa wanted to reach out to pick it up, of course he wanted to, but he still said to Jennie, "Listen to it yourself."
Even if they wore headphones the class would still be very noisy.
Wasn't that simple?
Jennie took out a pair of earplugs from her school bag, which she had bought specially because someone in her dormitory was snoring.
Lisa looked down at the small snow-white fluffy sponge, and reached out to take it.
The noisy sound of the class faded away, and he and Jennie listened to the same song, as if they were the only two people enclosed in a space that no one else knew. He could no longer hear anything else, he could only hear the voice in the headphones. The lyrics of the old song was clear and audible,
"I want to see you laugh, want to make trouble with you, want to hug you into my arms... You know I only want..."
Lisa gently covered the position of his heart, he suddenly thought about what she had asked him just now, What do you want for your birthday?
He couldn't afford to ask her for the rest of her life, so could he ask for a hug, just as the lyrics said.
Just once.

A Titan's Crusade
Erik Thayne spent most of his life being brutally ridiculed and tormented for his weight and physical appearance, among other things. A social pariah and diagnosed with an eating disorder no one has an explanation or treatment for, Erik spent years trying to overcome his issues with his personal image and escape the ridicule and vicious torment of his peers. After years of dedicated effort, and a fresh start in a town away from his childhood and adolescent tormentors, he had finally begun to truly realize what he'd been striving for all along. Only, fate apparently has other plans because in the blink of an eye, Erik found himself snatched from Earth and taken to another universe, another world, where he is offered the chance to be more than he'd ever imagined. Now, he has to fight to restore the Balance between Chaos and Order on a world of swords and magic, in a universe governed by the System's laws, which resemble those of RPGs from Earth. Erik learned to embrace the things about himself that others taught him to hate, using them to reforge his physical identity into something more removed from his old self-loathing. But can he learn to embrace the darkest parts of his mind just as he did the reviled aspects of his body and become who he needs to be to succeed in the task set before him? It might just prove easier to stalk in the dark as a monster than to walk in the light as a man... *This is my first time publishing anything I've written to a public audience. Due to formatting issues, I forwent traditional stat-screens for something a little less problematic, delineating stat screens by separating them from regular text with horizontal lines in a lighter-grey coloration. Let me know if you like them or not. Criticism is entirely welcome, but please don't hate on my work after only reading 1 chapter. This is a writing project I intend to complete but I have committment problems so we'll see how long this goes on. Also, fair warning, as the description implies, the main protagonist is intended to be someone who has been treated cruelly, developed antisocial tendencies, and ultimately has to question his own humanity--or lack thereof. This story is not intended to be brutally dark but I will definitely be trying to follow a darker theme. It is intended to be violent and some scenes later in the story might be...alarming. There will likely also be some light, non-graphic (think more implied with crude jokes and conversation than actual details, there will be no full-blown sex scenes)relationship scenes planned later and if you're opposed to either a bisexual or gay main character, stay away. I haven't yet decided which way he's going to swing but the odds on him being straight are relatively miniscule, and I've always wanted to write a story about a gay man who basically looks like a lumberjack because who doesn't like giving conventional stereo-types the middle finger? This will NOT be a harem story, and I have no intention to focus on romance over action--it's a consequence of character development where I'm concerned, not the be-all-end-all of the story. The cover-art does not, in any way, belong to me. It was an image titled the Druid King (by duskanmarkovic according to the file name) which I found on Google Images. Until I can get something commissioned, this is the best stand-in image I could find.
