They would protect him and he wouldn’t even be beaten, and when the matter was over, he would cry to his mother and act like a spoiled child, and then the incident would be over again. Even then, maybe his parents would give him more pocket money.

Anyways, whatever he stole would be from his own family and not from other people’s money.
