Mikoto and Eugeo's blades clashed in a storm of power..

Lightning and ice raged around as the entire room became coated in a tremendous blizzard of snow.. and lightning storms raged around the pavilion, turning the entire room into a ginormous force of nature itself.

"RAHHHHHH!!!" Mikoto leapt around at tremendous speed, her two blades flashing with electric power as she hammered around Eugeo with repeated dual blade combos.

Eugeo wielded his Blue Rose Sword with incredible skill, having learned from Kirito, and practiced for 2 entire years with as much diligence as he could muster.

Mikoto leapt into the air.. and a massive cyclone of Iron Sand infused with electricity surrounded her two blades as she crossed them together, and she came down at Eugeo from above, sending the vibrating Iron particles and electric power hurling into Eugeo's head.

Eugeo sent an uppercut lashing upwards.. and a massive cyclonic blizzard blew upwards into the iron sand and electric blast.

A shockwave shook the entire cathedral.. the walls cracked.. and the pillars shook.

"Th-this!!" said Silver Crow as he, Alice, and Black Lotus were pinned behind a pillar of the room forced to do so by the incredible power blasting from the two fighters.

"It's Eugeo's blizzard.." said Alice. "We can't get close or we'll be frozen solid.. the heat from Mikoto's lightning is the only thing keeping her unfrozen..

Indeed, the smoldering electricity around Mikoto was burning away the freezing air around her.. melting the snow as she and Eugeo fought.

"She's the only one who can take him head on right now!" said Alice. "Damn it..! This must be really hurting her! Mikoto and Eugeo both had a crush on each other when they were little.. I always figured during my time at the Sword Academy, and wondered if those two still held feelings for each other.. if they were still back in Rulid village... this is the worst how anything could have turned out!!"

"EUGEO!!! EUGEO SNAP OUT OF IT!!" Mikoto roared.. lightning flashing from her body with every syllable.. both River Spirit and the Master Sword burning bright.

"I see now that you are crazed in the head!" Eugeo roared back. "Telling me to snap out of it, when my mind's never been clearer.. you are a criminal.. and nothing more!!!

Mikoto blinked tears out of her eyes. "DAMN IT EUGEO!!!! System Call: Full Armament Control Art, Raging WAVES!!!"

Mikoto slashed the River Spirit into the air.. and immediately, a massive explosion of water twisted out.. the water twisted itself into the shape of multiple branches.. like that of the Gigas Cedar before arching into the sky and slamming down in the form of a huge flood.

"System Call.. Full Armament Control Art.. Frozen Rose!"

A massive rose made of ice twisted into being.. and blocked the raging flood. Mikoto leapt over the rose and whirled her blades around. "ELECTRO CONCUSSION!!!

50 spears of lightning blasted out of her two blades and combined beneath her to form a giant lightning blast that rained down on Eugeo.

The giant ice rose moved and twisted itself above Eugeo.. blocking the electric blast as it smashed the rose to pieces.

"SYSTEM CALL: ARMAMENT FULL CONTROL ART: TWILIT AQUATIC MORPHEEL!!!!" The Master Sword glowed, and a massive beam of golden dark light exploded into the flood created by River Spirit.

Immediately, a giant dark worm-like fish creature with darkness emitting from it's body and a bony hide as well as a large worm-like jaw full of teeth came raging out of the water.. screeching and attacking Eugeo.

"What is that!?" Eugeo exclaimed, shocked. He slashed his sword at Morpheel, cutting a gash through the creature's jaw..

Morpheel veered up in the now stormy and churning water, roaring angrily. Morpheel's large one eye shifted through it's transparent feelers that lashed out at Eugeo, causing him to jump away and send another massive blizzard hurling at the boss monster.. freezing it in place before it disappeared in a burst of light..

He only turned around just in time to block the powerful lightning blades that came smashing down on his own blade.

"SYSTEM CALL!!! ARMAMENT FULL CONTROL ART: TWILIT DRAGON ARGOROK!!!

A massive red dragon garbed in black armor burst into being.. firing a tremendous flaming breath at Eugeo.. who tried to block the flames with ice.. but the fire was powerful enough to melt through the ice

Eugeo leapt over Argorok as he roared and attempted to flap into the sky. But a massive ice crystal fell on top of the dragon, smashing it to the ground.

But already Mikoto was dashing up the ice crystal as Eugeo landed on it.. Mikoto let out a lightning infused Vorpal Strike as Eugeo parried it with a blizzard infused Slant.

"WHY YOU!!!?" Mikoto screamed. "WHY YOU!!!?"

"I have no idea what you are speaking of!!" Eugeo growled.

"NO IDEA!?" Mikoto screamed. "I... I... EVERY SECOND!! I'm REMEMBERING!! I remember more and more of the memories that were repressed from both me and Kirito.. the time we spent in the Underworld.. before Alice was taken!! I... I... I LOVED you!!!"

Eugeo's eyes widened, and his blade faltered as the Master Sword slashed across his chest and beat him back with a booming shockwave.. lightning shattering ice shards..

A crystal prism began to form around his forehead.. and the word "SYSTEM ERROR" appeared on his eye.

"Y-you.. Loved me..? But.." Eugeo gritted his teeth and roared with pain as the Piety Program in him put him back on his programmed track. "NO!! Stop messing with my head witch!!"

Eugeo sent a massive ice chunk slamming into Mikoto's chest.. smashing her into the ground.. causing her to cough up blood.

"I will kill you.." Eugeo said. "You are too dangerous to bring back alive.. I will be reprimanded for the act.. but.. It must be done..

Mikoto spat out a bit of blood as she shifted under the chunks of ice pinning her down. "You.. would disobey the Taboo Index? You know... that an Integrity Knight's orders.. are absolute.. doesn't that say something about you Eugeo?"

Eugeo stopped, frozen in slight amazement. "I... I .."

"The fact that you can defy.. the Taboo Index so easily.. means you're still in there.." Mikoto rasped..blood dripping from her chin. "Come on.. Eugeo..

Eugeo stepped back.. grunting as he clutched his head.. immediately, the blizzard around him died down, and immediately, Alice and Black Lotus both took advantage and dashed in.. using all the speed and power they could muster to attempt to restrain Eugeo.

"STOP!!!" Eugeo roared. sweeping his blade to the side.. creating an ice wall to block Alice and Black Lotus both.

Black Lotus let out an impressive sweeping slash.. ripping the ice wall to shreds.

"No wait!!" Alice held out an arm to Black Lotus.. staring at Eugeo. "I-I think he's fighting it!!"

Eugeo staggered around.. but as he did.. Deusolbert drew his bow.. and took aim at Mikoto's broken form.

"No... no.. no.." A whispered voice came out from the giant ice crystal in the room, holding the other prisoners.

A terrible dark aura was trembling from Sinon's body.

"No.. no.. NOOOOOOOOO!!!!"

Majora's mask appeared upon Sinon's face as the massive ice crystal around all of them shattered.. and 4 warriors were freed.

Kirito stood up shivering as Yuniko and Yuuki did so as well. However, it was Sinon who rolled forward and aimed Majora's sniper at Deusolbert. "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"

The streaking light exploded straight through Deusolbert's head.. blasting his head straight off the shoulders of his own body.. killing the Integrity Knight instantly.

The shockwave from the gunfire shattered some frozen pillars.. causing them to begin to fall onto and collapse over near Yuuki and Kirito.

"CRAP!!" Kirito yelled as he made to grab Yuuki out of the way.

A giant ice shard grew out of the ground and shielded both Yuuki and Kirito from harm... and standing nearby.. pointing his Blue Rose Sword, controlling the ice mass.. was Eugeo.. clutching his injured bloodied eye.. thanks to having overcome the system controlling him.

"I'm... sorry.." Eugeo panted. "I.. I'm sorry."

"Thank goodness.." Yuuki said. "He's back to his senses."

"Mikoto!!!" Kirito roared.. running over to Mikoto. With help from Silver Crow and Eugeo, the three of them managed to shift the giant ice mass off of Mikoto's legs.

"Glad.. you're back." Mikoto moaned.

Eugeo grinned. "Couldn't let you all go without me could I? And... Mikoto.. was, what you said true?"

Mikoto looked away sadly. "I.. found somebody new.."

Eugeo laughed.. much to Mikoto's surprise. "I know.. you don't think I couldn't read you after knowing you so long?"

"You.. remember?" Mikoto stammered.

"I do too." said Kirito. "I think the memories were coming back more and more.. all this time.. what happened when we were Full Diving for Rath..

"Look at us.." said Alice, chuckling. "the 4 of us together again! Just figuring out we knew each other at some point.. before all of this.."

"Yeah.." said Eugeo. "Only we've also got Sinon and- HACK!!!"

Eugeo coughed up blood.. his eye gone wide.. as he stared at the massive sword of tremendous light stabbed through his chest..

"EUGEO!!!!!!" everyone screamed.

"HOLY HELL!!" Yuniko roared. "TH-THAT'S NOT FAIR!!!"

Coming down from the steps leading up to the top chambers of the cathedral.. was a regal woman.. with a long dress and purple hair.. her expression was a cruel smile as came down. "Well.. well.. I couldn't have one of my Integrity Knights betraying me again.. could I?"

"Qui-Quinella!?" Alice stammered, drawing her blade. "Oh no.."

"Eu-Eugeo.. NO!!" Mikoto began to sob. "No!! Not like this!! Not like this!!"

Eugeo fell to his knees and smiled sadly at Mikoto. "Please... don't cry.. Mikoto-chan.. you're too pretty for that.. "

"Hold on!!" Kirito said, taking out a health potion. "I-I've got thi-"

Eugeo shook his head. "This is the end of the road for us Kirito-kun.. you've been.. my best friend since the beginning.. and that's a fact...*cough cough*... you are like a star.. shining in a night sky.. a night sky as black as your sword.. and you must continue... to shine.."

Kirito wiped a tear from his cheek.. "The Night Sky.. Eugeo.. damn it.. you had to come up with a good name for my sword.. now of all times?"

"Look after your sister.. for me.." Eugeo coughed. "Alice.. Sinon.. you two.. do the same.. and.. "

Eugeo looked at Silver Crow and Black Lotus. "I.. don't know.. who you two are.. but please.. do the same."

Eugeo looked at Mikoto last. "I know you must be hurting right now.. but out there.. the one you truly love is waiting for you to come back to him.. I want you to be happy Mikoto-chan.."

"I-I won't be happy.. if I lose a friend!!" Mikoto sobbed.

"You won't lose me.." said Eugeo. "I'll be watching.. I'll.. always be.. watching.."

"Before you go.." Mikoto whispered. "Here's.. a parting gift.."

Mikoto leaned up, and kissed Eugeo.. Eugeo closed his eyes and melted into the kiss.. before parting from it.. and as he parted... his body glowed.. and shattered into golden dust..

Quinella levitated into the air, and folded her arms.. sighing. "I've been watching you three.. Misaka, Sinon, and Kirito.. I've been watching with great interest indeed. Hundreds of years I have lived and presided in this realm.. and Cardinal has decided to sent you fools to destroy me? How quaint.. you're spending time crying over this silly boy.. when he was an enemy I sent to defeat you.."

"Boy?" Mikoto whispered.. a terrible black aura glowing from her.. as she staggered to her feet.. "His... name... was.. EUGEO!!!!!!!!"

Mikoto screamed last word.. and black lightning raged from her as she screamed..

The River Spirit Sword was blasted from Mikoto's hand as her sheer power was too much for it to take.. the flowing blade stuck in the wall nearby as Mikoto shot into the air, both hands on the handle of the Master Sword.

"Bl-black lightning!?" said Sinon. "I've.. never seen her make black lightning!!!"

"YOU!!! YOU!!!" Mikoto screamed at Quinella. "I WILL KILL YOU!!!!!!!!"

With this scream.. the Master Sword's blade turned bright with power.. and the shadow of Fi could be seen around the blade..

Quinella chuckled as she watched the powerful display. "So.. this is the Level 6 Shift I've heard about.. Thevos.. and that sword.. it is far stronger then any sword I've ever seen!! Wonderful!! How will it fair?"

Mikoto came crashing down at Quinella.. the Master Sword's blade turning black as it was imbibed with black lightning.. her golden coat flapping around her.. the Valkyrie Armor seeming to scream out along with her.

Quinella lashed a hand out.. and a massive sword around 15 meters long, with green flames enveloping it's blade slashed into being.

The blades collided... and a shockwave and explosion resounded.. sending white light blinding out of the entire cathedral..

Mikoto heard a crack.. and a terrible smiting pain.. as the light disappeared.. she found herself falling.. and she saw the Master Sword's blade.. smashed in two.. the other half of it's blade clattering to the floor.. as the hilt and rest of the blade... fell from her hand..

Her sword.. her friend.. her constant companion.. from Aincrad.. to ALfheim.. to the Underworld... fell.. broken.. shattered..

And her right leg.. covered in blood.. flew through the sky.. separated from it's master as well..

Mikoto fell to the floor.. her body, spirit.. and sword.. all broken..

Quinella laughed as she landed on the floor, spreading her arms out. "What a shame! That sword would have been useful.. and Misaka would have made an honorable Integrity Knight!!"

"YOU B*TCH!!" Sinon screamed, firing Majora's Sniper repeatidly at Quinella, who deflected every powerful shot with her hand.

"DEATH BY PIERCING!!!"

"LASER SWORD!!!"

Both Silver Crow and Black Lotus came at Quinella at the same time.. but their powerful strikes were blasted aside by Quinella and her god-like power.

"I control this world!!" Quinella said, as she brought Silver Crow to his knees with one fist.. "I AM IT'S QUEEN!!"

Black Lotus suddenly sped up behind Quinella, her blade arms embraced almost lovingly around her neck. "Those who believe themselves gods.. deserve only death... DEATH BY EMBRACING!!!"

Before Black Lotus could behead Quinella.. a massive explosive aura burst from Quinella and sent Black Lotus hurling to the ground with a boom.

"SEMPAI!!" Crow cried out.. right before Quinella grabbed one of Crow's wings and smashed him into the wall.

"YOU ARE SO DEAAAADD!!!" The ground erupted behind Quinella as the Immobile Fortress exploded into being.. and missiles rained down upon Quinella with explosive power, all the while Yuuki came in through the explosions using pure skill to dodge each blast while sending a Mother's Rosario straight into Quinella's body.

"Don't make me laugh!!"

The fortress was ripped apart, and Scarlet Rain was sent screaming into Yuuki, the two of them taken down.. in one ginormous blow..

"Is there anybody.. who can face a god!?" said Quinella. "You there.. boy! Why do you not attack?"

Kirito was kneeling, holding Mikoto's barely conscious form in his arms.

"We.. started this together..." Mikoto whispered. "In Aincrad...please.."

Mikoto held up the broken Master Sword and pressed it into Kirito's hand.. as tears poured down her face. "Please.. just... please.."

Kirito hugged Mikoto close as she closed her eyes. "I've got you.."

Kirito set Mikoto down gently, and drew the newly named Night Sky Sword from it's sheath as he took the broken Master Sword with his left hand.

"You.. hurt her.." Kirito growled. "And for that.. I'll never forgive you.."

Quinella rolled her eyes. "I think I can live with that."

Kirito's body suddenly radiated with power.. and the voice of Cardinal entered his head.

"I will help you.. this once.. become the hero.. Kirito-kun.."

Kirito's clothing changed.. and in a shimmer of darkness.. the Blackwyrm Coat from his Sword Art Online Avatar appeared.. flapping in the wind..

Kirito felt it.. his old stats from SAO revived.. Cardinal was using the copied data from the first Cardinal.. to regain Kirito's avatar information.. just as it had happened in ALO..

"What?" said Quinella. "What is that clothing!?"

Kirito crossed the broken blade and the black blade together.. and he roared. "Come on Quinella!!! LET'S FINISH THIS!!!"
