《The Dating Pact | ✓》Chapter 30 : Where's This Smoke Coming From?

I just couldn't take my eyes off her as she sat beside me inside my car.
Shravya.
She was my girlfriend now.
It was unbelievable but it was true.
I finally confessed my feelings to her and asked her out. And now that she is finally my girl, I am not letting her go anywhere.
"Arjun, what are you thinking?" She asked from beside me, breaking me out of my trance.
"I was just thinking about you. About how lucky I am to have you Shravya." I answer and she shakes her head.
"Why do you have to be so sweet, Arjun?" She asks me as a smile forms on her face.
I smile back. "Well that's because I am sweet Shravya." I answer a second later with a grin on my face.
"Wow, I could have never guessed." She said in response.
"Let's get going to the club now, yes?" I asked her.
"Sure." She said in response and I began driving.
After a few minutes of silence Shravya begins speaking.
"I've invited Sneha and her boyfriend Mayank too. Is that okay? I asked Abhi and he's okay with it." She tells me.
"As long as Sneha doesn't practice her karate moves on me and her boyfriend doesn't arrest me, I'm totally okay with it too." I tell her with a teasing tone and immediately look sideways to have a look at her.
Her cheeks flush and she quickly looks outside the window.
"That was just one time Arjun and you know I was scared." She says in response, still not looking at me.
I suppress a smile and say, "Still Shravya, you thought I wanted a sexual favor from you. How wrong does that even sound."
"Arjun, let's not talk about it, it's embarrassing." She tells me with a groan and I chuckle.
"No, we should definitely talk about this. What other thoughts do you have about me involving something sexual?" I ask her playfully.
She presses her hands to her cheeks in order to hide her blush and that's the most adorable sight I have looked at in a while.
"Focus on driving, Mr. Mehrotra." She tells me a few seconds later when I don't tear my gaze away from her.
I don't argue but instead smile and look away.

I stopped my car in front of the club Abhi asked us to report at.
Shravya unfastens her seatbelt and I unfasten mine after which I get out of the car and move to the other side to open the door for her.
When we're both outside I ask her to wait while I go and park the car.
She gives me a thumbs up and I move back inside the car.
After I'm done parking it I walk to Shravya and intertwine my fingers with hers.
Doing so makes me happy. Our fingers fit perfectly and it looks like they're meant to be that way.
That's so corny, Arjun. A voice in my mind says. I shake the thought away and lead Shravya to the entrance.
I show my ID to the security guards and one of them guides us to the VIP section.

"Are you a regular member here?" Shravya asks me as we climb the stairs.
"Uh yes. I come here with Abhi and a few mutual friends every once in a while." I tell her and she gives me a nod.
When we have reached upstairs Aarohi spots us and waves her hand.
We reach the table and find Abhi, Aarohi, Sneha, Shravya's best friend, Sneha's boyfriend Mayank and....Rishi Mehra?
Wait, what is this guy doing here?
I watch Shravya as she meets everyone and then hugs Sneha and takes a seat beside her.
Rishi passes me a smile and I fake a smile back at him before taking a seat beside Shravya.
"Sneha, Mayank, this is Arjun. Arjun, this is Sneha, my best friend and her boyfriend, Mayank." Shravya introduces us.
"Hi, Arjun. Sharvya did not mention it just now, but you're her boyfriend right?" Sneha asked as she put her hand forward for a handshake.
I took her hand in mine and shaked it.
"Yes, I am Shravya's boyfriend." I said loudly, for everyone and more specifically Rishi Mehra to hear.
I looked at him to find him not paying any attention to the conversation instead he was busy talking to Aarohi?
They seemed to be arguing about something looking at the expressions on their faces.
Is this guy after my sister now?
I have to find out but now is not the time.
"Mayank, it's good to see you after a long time." I told Mayank who I was acquainted with already.
"It's nice to see you too, buddy." He told me and the two of us bumped our fists.
"So you guys actually know each other? You never told me that, Mayank." Sneha said, looking at him with her eyebrows furrowed.
"You never asked, babe." He said in response.
"Okay so guys now that everyone is here, we should let the fun begin, yes?" Abhi said, gathering everyone's attention.
"Of course. Let's start the evening with a bang. I'll go get everyone their drinks." Rishi Mehra announced.
"Yeah, bro, you go do that. You look like you need a drink." Abhi told him.
"I really do." Rishi said.
He then turned towards Shravya.
"What would you like to have, Shray?" He asked her.
Shray? Shray who?
"For your kind information, her name is Shravya." Aarohi immediately said.
"I know that, love." Rishi said and my eyes went wide.
Love, love who?
How dare this guy call my sister that?
"Excuse me, buddy, stop with these nicknames..." I began saying but Abhi quickly interfered.
"Rishi, my brother, go get the drinks. Mayank is going to drive us back, Bhai's going to drive Shravya home so get soda for them." He told him.
My eyes met Aarohi's and I gave her a questioning look.
She immediately looked away.
Something's not alright.
"I won't drink either, so get me a glass of soda too." Shravya told Rishi and he gave her a thumbs up after which he went away to get everyone's drinks.
Before Rishi came back with our drinks a girl approached us. More specifically approached Abhi.

"Abhi, hey." She said and immediately wrapped her arms around him.
A good thirty seconds later they parted and Abhi started introducing her to us.
I had seen the girl somewhere but I couldn't exactly remember where.
Abhi introduced everyone to her. The girl's name was Shanaya.
Finally he motioned towards me.
"And that's my big brother..."
"Arjun Mehrotra, I know." Shanaya said and walked towards me with a smile.
"We met last year in Goa, during New Year's eve. You remember, right Arjun?" She asked, batting her eyelashes at me.
Oh right. That's where I met her.
"Yes, I remember now." I said in response.
I felt a hand on my thigh.
My eyes immediately looked up to find Shravya forcing a smile in my direction.
What have I done? I thought to myself.
Shanaya took a seat beside me. A little too close for my liking and comfort.
I tried to squirt closer towards Shravya.
"So, how have you been Arjun?" Shanaya asked.
"I've been great, what about you?" I ask her.
"I've been awesome." She replied.
"Really that's good to know." I told her with a smile.
Shravya's hold on my thigh tightened and I immediately looked at her.
"By the way, this is Shravya, my girlfriend." I quickly informed Shanaya.
She looked at Shravya and the smile on her face fell down while Shravya smiled sweetly at her.
In one second the murderous looks that Shravya had been passing, Shanaya and I were gone.
Aw, was my girlfriend jealous?
"Where's this smoke coming from?" I whisper in her ears, my lips brushing against her ear lobe. In response she tightens her grip on my thigh making me gasp.
She smiles back at me innocently.
You shouldn't have done that Shravya. I think as I try to compose myself.
"How long have the two of you been dating for?" Shanaya asks us.
"It's been a little over a week now." I answer.
"Only a week?" She asks in a taunting voice.
"Yes, but we can't seem to keep our eyes and hands off each other, right babe?" Shravya asks me, looking at me with loving eyes.
I love jealous Shravya.
"Of course." I say smiling back at her and then lean towards her to place a kiss on her cheek.
"You're an awesome dancer Arjun, you showed us some sexy moves at that party, would you like to..." Shanaya begins saying but is cut off by Rishi's voice.
"Here come the drinks." He says and everyone cheers.
"Soda for the drivers." Abhi says and hands Mayank and me our drinks.
"And for Shravya." He says and gives her a glass too.
"And now for the drinking party, here are your drinks." He says and hands over everyone their drinks.
"Your girlfriend doesn't drink?" Shanaya asks me.
"No, she doesn't really handle alcohol well." I told her.
"Ohh, is that so? Shravya and you are total opposites then. Right Arjun?" She asks me.
"Uh well.." I trail off.
Shravya gives her a fake sweet smile. Yet again.
Why is this Shanaya girl here anyway? I have to speak to Abhi.
When the first round of drinks are over Abhi announces a game of never have I ever.
"I'm afraid we need to bring candies for you since you don't drink Shravya." Shanaya says and then laughs.
Shravya mumbles something under her breath before she announces, "No I'm okay with alcohol too. Whoever's getting the drinks for this round, bring some for me too." She says.
"Shravya, girl, are you sure?" Sneha who was till now engaged in a conversation with Mayank asks.
"Yes, Sneha. I'm sure." Shravya answers.
"Shravya, you don't have to." I whisper in her ears.
"Don't worry, babe." She whispers back and gives me a peck on the cheek.
"Shravya.." I begin to protest again but she stops me.
"Arjun, just go get me a drink." She tells me.
I nod at her in response and get up from my seat.
"I'll go along with you." Shanaya says and is about to get up from her seat too but Shravya beats her to it.
"I'm sure I can help my boyfriend out." Shravya says.
Shanaya passes her a nod.
The two of us then leave to get the drinks.
However instead of leading us to the bar Shravya pulls me to a corner.
She pins me to the nearest wall and grabs me by my collar.
I'm taken aback for a second but then I quickly compose myself.
"Shravya doesn't handle alcohol well? Who asked you to tell her that?" She fires at me.
"But baby, that's the truth." I told her.
"Don't you dare try and baby me Arjun Mehrotra. Mujhe toh kabhi nahi bataya ki accha dance karte ho tum? Kis kis ko dikhaye hain apne sexy moves? [You never told me you dance well? Who all have you shown your sexy moves to?]" She asks me and pulls me closer towards herself.
My hands wrap around her waist for support.
"Shravya we never really spoke about dance moves yeah? It was a party, people insisted I dance and so I did. It was before I even met you." I tell her with a nervous laugh.
"I didn't like it. I did not like Shanaya trying to hit on you." She says.
"I did not like it either babe. The only girl I want to be hit on by is you and you alone." I told her.
"Good." Shravya says and raises on her toes capturing her lips in mine.
When we pull apart a couple of minutes back after a very very rough kiss I look at her in awe.
"Waah, meri sherni [Woah, my lioness]. I did not know you had it in you." I told her with a smirk on my face.
A blush crept up on Shravya's cheeks and she buried her face in my chest.
I smiled to myself as I wrapped my arms around her.
