I swallowed, trapped between Ring-Ring's arms— her arms blocking me from both sides preventing me from escaping. Her usual pale face reddened in anger, a familiar set of markings present on her cheeks and forehead. Of course, now she's really mad. "Pucca." Ring-Ring growled under her breath, which had obviously caught my attention.
I knotted my eyebrows, slowly backing up— though stopped by the sudden closed door. "Wh- What about Pucca?" I snarled at her, gulping— her appearance fully transformed into her so called 'Yang' side. Her red, ornate kimono shone against the sun— a skull horned crown now present on her hair.
Ring-Ring glanced up at me, her demeaning eyes meeting mine. "It's Pucca, isn't it?" She narrowed her eyes at me, her left hand punching beside me, her aim purposely missing— creating a hole on my front sliding door. "Pucca has nothing to do with any of this." I bravely protested, though it seemed to anger her more.
Ring-Ring leisurely brought her pale hand onto my cheek, caressing me as I froze. "I've seen the way you look at her, every time she passes by." Ring-Ring paused, "But why? Why— why, her?" She trailed off, creating a pout on her thin lips and her expression shifting off to melancholic. I pursed my bottom lip, lightly shaking my head.
"I-I don't know what you're talking about." I uttered, her expression once again altering— the sound of her teeth gritting audible. "Liar." The bluenette muttered, the sleeves of her kimono extending— snaking around my waist, my arms and onto my body, bringing me closer to her. I uncomfortably adjusted, twisting and turning as her sleeves tightened around me.
"Let me go." I hissed at her, my arms completely bounded by her sheaths. If it were a different scenario, and Ring-Ring was a male— I would've fought ages ago. I don't fight women. Nor do I take the pleasing of hurting them. I raised my chin, her face just inches closely beneath me. She smiled, her thin red lips curling into a smile. "If I can't have you, I'll take you instead."

Ring-Ring sang, gradually nearing her lips closer to mine— was she about to kiss me? I immediately turned my head away in realization, though ceased by a strong force pulling me closer to her. Ring-Ring's extensive hair wrapped around my head, our lips soon adjacent. There was no escaping it now. I tightly shut my eyes, trying my best to hover my face away— though she just pulled me closer.
I could feel her cold breath against my pores, our lips inches away from each other— as she suddenly came to a halt, a loud 'whoosh' sound ringing into the air. The tightness around my waist disappeared, her sleeves uncoiling me. She stopped? I sucked in my breath and inched my eyes open, greeted by a petite foot into the air— the foot being held up by the bluenette.
My stomach twisted, eyes widening— recognizing the person whom attempted to attack the bluenette. Pucca? Her ankle escaped Ring-Ring's grip, the bluenette soon reacting as she speedily turned around. Tension filled the air, the two women intensely darting daggers at each other. None said a word, the morning breeze blowing against the chimes hung up on my patio disturbing the silence.
This was familiar, way too familiar. Pucca stood in a threatening stance, her chin raised— her face expressionless, her fists clenched. Yes, this is familiar. This is their gesture to each other, a silent gesture before they usually fought. Ring-Ring opened her mouth, an unpleasant laughter escaping her lips. "Oh, Pucca. It's been way too long." The bluenette yapped. "But this time, i'm the one who'll have it all."
Not getting a single word from the raven haired, Ring-Ring's ear scorching siren filled the air— as I brought my hands to cover my ears. I'd rather not interfere, God knows what these two are capable of. I thought, the bluenette's extensive kimono lengthening— meandering to the air, landing the first blow on Pucca whom stood still.
What is she doing?! Eye's widening, I madly got onto my feet ready to sprint to the raven haired— only to be surprised that when Ring-Ring brought her lengthy sleeves back, Pucca was nowhere to be seen.

The world traveler from the future
The world, under the guide of the System, was prospering. The Dungeons gifted untold riches to those brave enough to challenge them, and the System watched and helped those who were willing to complete its Quests. But not Charles. As soon as he appeared inside a dark cave, the system told him that he was an anomaly, that he was not worthy of its gifts. His mind was damaged. Even I Don't Want to See the World Burn Down: Rank SSS Demon
A very powerful demoness by the nickname Amethyst has been causing chaos and destruction for over 1000 years, except over the last couple hundred years, she's become rather bored and hasn't really done much out in the world. Until one day, encouraged by a friend, she heads out once again to wreak havoc on the world only to run across a half-elf half devil child. Not having been in the situation before, she decides to take the child and raise it herself. Diguising herself as a devil as well, Amethyst goes to a nearby human city with the child to raise it in a more "suitable" environment. Follow along Amethyst and her "adopted" child as they adapt to changing fantasy world with advancing technology, a diverse range of beings like elves and arachne, and the destructive power of monsters and other demons. And of course, they can't just be left to their own devices cause the world is set to turn into an intolerable hellscape if no one does anything about it. Not even Amethyst wants that to happen. *Author's note: this story is a work in progress meaning chapters may get deleted, editing will happen, and chapter releases will be irregular as I'm doing this just for fun. Plus this is my first time working on this sort of thing. So if you're ok with all of that, read along. Of course, comments and feedback are always welcome. Update 7 June 22: Life has been busy with family and work so this is a very slow updating story, for which I apologize (I like to read too).

The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.
