"Oh have the tables turned." Abyo said, a somewhat menacing laughter escaping his mouth. I shook my head and rolled my eyes, crossing my arms. "Just— keep quiet." I demanded with a huff as Abyo punched my back, lunging me a bit forward. "Oh come on dude! If ya like her that much, tell her!" Abyo declared with a wide grin. I sighed, chuckling. "Easier said than done. Besides," I paused heaving in a deep, sad breath.
"Maybe— she doesn't feel the same for me anymore." I finished off with a mutter, looking off to the opposite of Abyo. In response, Abyo broke into laughter once again. I confusingly turned to him, furrowing my eyebrows. "What's so funny?" I annoyingly asked raising an eyebrow. "Oh come on Garu! The girl is literally, literally— in love with you!" He stated, wiping a tear away from his eye as he caught up on air.
I facepalmed, giving him a blank look afterwards. "Abyo, that was 5 years ago. 5 years ago since she'd be chasing after me day after day— it's different now." I stated in a low worried voice. "It isn't like the old days anymore, i've barely even seen nor talked to her after that. She got so busy— I felt so lonely." I admitted, heaving in a deep sigh afterwards as I looked up at the sky. "Damn. You really went in deep thought." Abyo teased as I playfully elbowed him on the stomach.
I heard Abyo sigh from behind me, feeling his hand placed on my shoulder all of a sudden. "You known, you really are just a big ol' softie for Pucca aren't ya?" Abyo stated with a smile. I shrugged, lowering my head. "Guess I am." I closed my eyes with a gulp, a sudden feeling of regret overcoming me. "Though if what I assumed was the case, she has every right not to like me anymore." I added as Abyo suddenly whacked the back of my head.

"Ow! What the hell!" I held the back of my head and rubbed it, scowling at Abyo. "Oh for christ's sake, stop overthinking and making yourself so depressed!" He demanded as I shook my head and ruffled my hair. "It's just that— the way I treated her back then just hit me. I've been so mean and inconsiderate of her." I spat out, taking a seat on Ching's doorstep as Abyo did the same. "Well, not gonna argue with ya there. You did reject her countless of times." Abyo replied with a nod.
"See? It'd probably be best if she gave up on my idiotic bum." I mumbled, kicking a rock away to the side. Abyo groaned, resting his cheek onto his palm as he faced me. "Haven't you noticed dum-dum? Even when you rejected her numerous times back then, she'd just get up and try again. She acts like nothing even happened." Abyo declared in a persuasive tone. "Who knows? Pucca may still like you. You'll never know unless you actually ask her." He added, his words somewhat made me feel better.
I smiled along with a sigh, nodding. "You're right— it's just that-" I took another pause and scoffed as Abyo groaned once again. "What is it now? Don't tell me your big 'pp brain' doesn't know how to confess." He joked as I froze, breaking into a sweat and going silent. "Seriously man? You don't?" Abyo stared at me in disbelief as I bit my bottom lip. "And I may be a bit— a- uh, scared." I admitted with a gulp, giving an awkward grin. "You- You're joking." He responded as I shook my head.
Abyo flicked my forehead, clicking his tongue. "Sooga Village's honourable, respected, strong and skilled ninja is scared to confess to a girl? I'm really living the dream now." Abyo teased as I punched his chest. "Shut up."

A Titan's Crusade
Erik Thayne spent most of his life being brutally ridiculed and tormented for his weight and physical appearance, among other things. A social pariah and diagnosed with an eating disorder no one has an explanation or treatment for, Erik spent years trying to overcome his issues with his personal image and escape the ridicule and vicious torment of his peers. After years of dedicated effort, and a fresh start in a town away from his childhood and adolescent tormentors, he had finally begun to truly realize what he'd been striving for all along. Only, fate apparently has other plans because in the blink of an eye, Erik found himself snatched from Earth and taken to another universe, another world, where he is offered the chance to be more than he'd ever imagined. Now, he has to fight to restore the Balance between Chaos and Order on a world of swords and magic, in a universe governed by the System's laws, which resemble those of RPGs from Earth. Erik learned to embrace the things about himself that others taught him to hate, using them to reforge his physical identity into something more removed from his old self-loathing. But can he learn to embrace the darkest parts of his mind just as he did the reviled aspects of his body and become who he needs to be to succeed in the task set before him? It might just prove easier to stalk in the dark as a monster than to walk in the light as a man... *This is my first time publishing anything I've written to a public audience. Due to formatting issues, I forwent traditional stat-screens for something a little less problematic, delineating stat screens by separating them from regular text with horizontal lines in a lighter-grey coloration. Let me know if you like them or not. Criticism is entirely welcome, but please don't hate on my work after only reading 1 chapter. This is a writing project I intend to complete but I have committment problems so we'll see how long this goes on. Also, fair warning, as the description implies, the main protagonist is intended to be someone who has been treated cruelly, developed antisocial tendencies, and ultimately has to question his own humanity--or lack thereof. This story is not intended to be brutally dark but I will definitely be trying to follow a darker theme. It is intended to be violent and some scenes later in the story might be...alarming. There will likely also be some light, non-graphic (think more implied with crude jokes and conversation than actual details, there will be no full-blown sex scenes)relationship scenes planned later and if you're opposed to either a bisexual or gay main character, stay away. I haven't yet decided which way he's going to swing but the odds on him being straight are relatively miniscule, and I've always wanted to write a story about a gay man who basically looks like a lumberjack because who doesn't like giving conventional stereo-types the middle finger? This will NOT be a harem story, and I have no intention to focus on romance over action--it's a consequence of character development where I'm concerned, not the be-all-end-all of the story. The cover-art does not, in any way, belong to me. It was an image titled the Druid King (by duskanmarkovic according to the file name) which I found on Google Images. Until I can get something commissioned, this is the best stand-in image I could find.

GLADIUS // Eret X Reader
PHANTASM SERIES BOOK 4---Gladius, (noun): (in ancient Rome) a short sword.---Eret perked up as soon as you and Simon walked into the room, a wide and welcoming smile coming onto his face. He was softer looking than his father had been, but you could still see some of the similar traits. He had a head of thick dark curls, and the same sharp jaw that his father had had. He wasn't as bulky though - he was tall and thin - and his face was a lot more open. What separated him most from his father's likeness though was the colorful cape, and the large mirrored glasses he wore - swirling with colors reflected from the room. He stood from his seat when Maven let the doors swing shut behind her, that wide smile still on his face. "You must be the embassy.""And you must be King Eret." You said, stooping into a bow. "Oh, there's no need for that." Eret said as you rose from your bow. He stepped down from the dias where his throne sat - colorful cape trailing behind him - and came to stand in front of you, taking your hand instead. "I'm not really one for formalities." He grinned, shaking your hand. His palm was warm against yours, and you could feel some slight callouses - most likely from practicing his sword work.
