I had carried Carl back into the house and into the bedroom. Then I put him on the bed and waited till he fell asleep.
Then I walked out and to the RV.
Mom walked to me "Kendall"
I turned to her "Lori"
Mom "tell Carol that we are ready for the funeral"
I gulped but nodded.
Then I climbed into the RV and saw Carol sitting there, starring out of the window. Daryl was sitting on counter playing with his gun.
Me "they are ready. come on"
Carol "Why?"
I looked at Daryl but he was already looking at me.
Daryl "Because she is your little girl"
Carol shook her head, in tears "that's not my little girl. it's somet-thing. My Sophia was alone in the woods. All this time i thought...she didn't cry herself to sleep. She didn't go hungry. She didn't try to find her way back. Sophia died a long time ago. "
Daryl stood up.
I raised an eyebrow "we were looking for her this whole time. Daryl nearly died. We spent every minute we were here looking for her. Even if she is dead now, a mother should at least say goodbye to her daughter"
Daryl grabbed my forearm and walked out with me.
----
Daryl and i were sitting behind a wall, far away from the farm. I was leaning on the wall. Daryl was sitting next to me cutting arrows.
We haven't spoken since he dragged me out of the RV.
Daryl "You were right"
I looked at him, confused "hm?"
Daryl "you hurt me"
I sighed "You have no idea how much i wish i wasn't"
He looked at me "i kept looking for her"
Me "Because you had hope "
i put a hand on his shoulder and said quietly "we all had hope"

Daryl looked me in the eyes.
I began to lean in.
He leaned in too.
Suddenly we heard Mom yell "Kendall! Daryl!"
I moved back a little annoyed.
Daryl started to cut the arrows again.
Mom "We need Hershel"
Daryl asked uninterested "Yeah, so what?"
Mom "i need you to run into town real quick and bring him and Rick back."
Daryl ignored her.
Mom asked irritated "Daryl?"
Daryl "Your Bitch went shoppin'. You want him? Go fetch him yourself . I got better things to do"
Mom asked confused "what's the matter with you? Why would you be so selfish?"
Daryl stood up "Selfish? Listen, olive oyl. I was out there looking for that little girl every single day. I took a bullet and an arrow in process. Don't you tell me about getting my hands dirty! You want those two idiots out there? Then have a nice ride."
He sat down again "i'm done looking for people. "
Mom walked away.
I looked at him.
Daryl shook his head, not even looking at me "Don't even start with me now "
I shook my head "I won't. Promise"
He started cutting again.
Night.
Out of nowhere Carl ran to us. He was crying.
I got up and asked worried "what's wrong?"
Carl sobbed "Mom- Mom is gone"
My eyes went wide "Wh-What?"
I looked at Daryl who tensed "alright. Let's go back to camp"
Then I grabbed Carl's hand and we walked back to the camp.
Mom was there with Shane .
She looked around confused "Where's Rick? Where are they?"
Shane sighed "i had to get ya back here"
Mom yelled at him "you asshole!"
Shane "Lori"
Mom grabbed his shirt collar "he's my husband!"
Shane pushed her off him "Lori, i will go after them. i will find them. First things first, i had to go after you. i gotta make sure the baby is alright. "

Everyone froze.
Carl's jaw dropped "You're having a baby? Why didn't you tell me? "
Mom was speechless.
I growled at Shane "Thank you, Shane"
Then Carl ran inside.
Mom sighed, looking after him.
Me "Make sure you are okay. i'll talk to him"
She gave me a soft smile and nodded.
I walked inside and sat down next to Carl on the couch.
Carl "You knew, didn't you?"
I sighed and nodded "yes."
Carl looked hurt "Why didn't anyone tell me?"
Me "You wanna know why?"
Carl nodded.
Me "Because Mom wanted to tell you herself"
Dale, Andrea and mom walked in.
Mom sat down next to Carl "hey, i'm so sorry, that I left without telling anyone."
Carl nodded "it's okay. I wasn't scared. Is Dad coming back?"
Mom sighed "let's hope so"
Carl "i wanna be there when you tell him about the baby"
Mom sighed softly "Love, he already knows. We were just trying to find the right time to tell you. "
Carl "is it a boy or a girl?"
Mom "Well, we won't know that until it's born."
Carl "will I be able to feel it?"
He put a hand on her stomach.
Mom smiled "not for a while. Must have a lot of questions, right?. We never had the talk. I guess, we forgot. "
Carl looked at Dale.
Dale shook his head "Don't look at me. That's your father's job."
He nodded "If the baby is a girl. Can we name her Sophia?"
Everyone froze.
Shane came in "hey, dude. Thought you knew"
I scoffed.
Carl smiled proudly "big brother Carl. Pretty cool, hm? "
Shane nodded "i say that's very cool"
I looked at Mom and saw her looking at me. We were thinking the same thing.
Shane "can I have a talk with your mom?"
I shot him a look "Later. Give her time to rest"
Shane "Lori, i had to gettcha back here. You wouldn't have come with me otherwise. "
Everyone was ignoring Shane.
I just smirked.
Shane "how about you just hear me out, please? It's okay."
Mom "Can you give me a minute?"
Carl, Dale, Andrea and i left the room.
Suddenly we heard a car outside. We all walked out. It were Dad, Glenn and Hershel.
Carl and i ran to dad and hugged him.
Me "You're back"
Mom then hugged him.
Dad "What happened to you?"
Shane "she was out looking for you. Had to bring her back"
Dad asked mom "Are you crazy?!"
T-Dog pointed at a guy in the backseat "who the hell is that?"
Glenn "that's Rendall"
----------
We were all sitting in the dining room.
Dad"We couldn't just leave him behind, he would've bled out if he lived that long."
Glenn "it's gotten bad in town."
Andrea "what do we do with him?"
Hershel "i tried to safe his muscle. His nerve is damaged. He can't move his feet for at least a week"
Dad "and when he can walk again we set him out on the road. Leaving him on his way."
Me "aka leaving him to the walkers"
Shane "he won't have a fighting chance"
I raised an eyebrow "kill him?"
Shane "he knows where we are"
Dad "we covered his eyes the whole way here. He's not a threat. "
Shane scoffed "he's not a threat? How many where there? You killed three of their men. You took one of them hostage. But they just ain't gonna look for him?"
Dad "they left him for dead. No one is looking. "
Hershel "he's out right now. Will be for hours. "
Shane "You know? i'm gonna go out get flowers and candles for him. "
The he made his way through the room "look at this folks, we are living back in fantasy-land. "
I groaned and stood up and walked outside "Shane and his big ass ego"

Leveled Plane
Update: Yo! Sorry for the late notice, but I will not be posting on 3/6 or on 3/13 due to midterms. I’ll return on 3/20 with a new chapter. See ya then! A fun experience for all ages. Well, it would've been that. Leveled Plane, the VR multiplayer online game renowned for its innovation and variety. Billions of people play the game on a regular basis. Thirty years after its release, the number of people who've "completed" the game is still a resounding zero. So what happens when a veteran and a noob with nothing left to lose take a crack at it? ... Nothing good... Follow along as Heather and Jamie do everything they can to last one day longer, go one step further, all while dealing with game politics and the slow acceptance of their new reality. This is an idea I've had in my head for a long time, and I really want to do it justice, so I'm taking my time with this monster. The initial plan for this story has it spanning at least 3-4 volumes if everything goes well. Any feedback (as long as it's constructive) is welcomed and appreciated. New chapters are released every Sunday.

The 48 Laws of Power in Practice
Discover how power works in the world, through true stories and real-world applications. In the game of power, we all play - as either conscious or unconscious players. So we can't afford not to know the rules. The ** chapters have the most outrageous content. In each chapter, I will be summarizing one of the laws and how it can be applied to current events and pop culture. Some of you have told me the stories are what you enjoy the most. They are real, raw, and anonymous so that others may learn from my mistakes. There will be cringe-worthy stories of self-sabotage, but perhaps also some unlikely triumphs. Some of the details are changed to protect the innocent, (or perhaps guilty). "The 48 Laws of Power" by Robert Greene illustrates truths about power, through philosophy and lessons from three thousand years of history, which still hold true today. There is a lot to learn from each chapter. I encourage you to go on this journey with me by reflecting on how each law might apply to you. Together, may we learn from the past and take control of the future.
