《The A.I.P. Mystery》Beginningly detectively

It was a warm, windy day in San Francisco. A perfect day to play outside in the courtyard. But one girl was doing no such thing. She was sitting in her room, waiting. What exactly for? We don't know yet.
The girl (whose name was Selene) glanced around her room, taking in the drab gray wallpaper, her blue-gray bed, her roommate's green-gray bed, the old brown dresser where she and her roommate kept their clothes (neither had personal items), the half-open window and the dirty mirror. When she looked in it she saw her stormy blue eyes, dirty-blonde hair and orphanage uniform reflect back at her. She sighed. It may have been sunny outside, but Selene was in a gloomy mood, she had no cases to crack today. Cases? You wonder? Indeed, cases, not suitcases, mysteries. Selene was a detective.
Well, the self-appointed orphanage detective. Yes, Selene lived in an orphanage. To be specific, Ms. Pinnicle's San Francisco Orphanage. It was a dreary sort of place, but it had a courtyard, and the food was okay, so it was beareble. Selene had been dropped off there when she was just a baby, like most kids who lived there.
Anyways, back to waiting. And waiting. And waiting. But then, someone barged through the door! It was-Pip. Selene's sidekick. Technically, an apprentice or secondary detective. Pick one, it's beside the point.
"Selene!" said Pip.
"What is it!" said Selene, jumping up and down, "A new case? Did Jimmy lose his shoes again? Has someone seen a mysterious shape in the Cafeteria? Something? Anything?"
"Oh." said Pip, sitting down. "Nothing like that, It's just lunch is ready."
"Uhg! I was hoping that I would have a new case-I'm so bored!"
"Sorry," said Pip. "I'll go now."

"HHHHMMMGGHHHFF." was the answer he got. He quietly scooted out. Selene sat on her bed for a bit, then decided to go to lunch.
On the way to the Cafeteria, she met up with one of her freinds, Eva. They talked about the upcoming field trip ("Maybe we're going to ChinaTown?"), lunch ("Oooh, do you think Lucy will sneak in some dessert?") and the super nice weather (" I hope it stays!").
At lunch, Selene sat with Eva, Emma, Lucy, Aidan, Alex and Pip. They were just guessing at how long the nice weather was going to last (Pip, who was busy falling down every few seconds as he had horrible balance, did not contribute to this conversation, nor did Aidan, who was watching the door, for some reason.). Then, suddenly, the door flew open and Ms. Pinnicle, the principal, came in.
This was a surprise, because Ms. Pinnicle never comes into the cafeteria, she finds it disgusting. Selene was surprised, too. The only reason Ms. Pinnicle would come to the cafeteria would be an important announcement. Now, Selene was a smart girl, smart enough to be a detective, so she deduced why Ms. Pinnicle came.
"Students!" shouted Ms. Pinnicle over the ruckus. The quiet came slowly. Then, when the last talkers had stopped, she spoke.
"Students, " she said again. "I have an important announcement,"
"Yes." whispered Selene, glad to have guessed right.
"We're not students!" shouted one kid.
Ms. Pinnicle glared at the students. Then, when she was sure no one was talking, she continued.
"I refer to you as my students, as you also go to school here." She said stiffly, "But, as I was saying, for the upcoming field trip, we will be going to..." All the students leaned forward.

"Drumroll, please."
Selene rolled her eyes, but still patted her lap.
"We are going tooooooo..." said Ms. Pinnicle. "Alcatraz Island Prison!"
Everyone was silent. Was this a joke?
Ms. Pinnicle sighed "For a TOUR!"
"Ohhhhhh!" Was the collective sigh from the kids. Then everyone started whispering, "Ohh, this will be fun!", "Who wants to go to a PRISON for a field trip?" and "Maybe there'll be some mysteries there!", this, of course, was Selene. Soon, Ms. Pinnicle left the room, and everyone went back to their normal schedules.

Ravyn's Nights
Claire's life led her to love. Love led her to death. Death began her eternal struggle to retain both her love and her humanity through five centuries of endless nights. Book 1 covers 1583-1690. "Ravyn's Nights" is a six book series, with each book covering a different century. Book 6 was actually started first, and it takes place in the near future, bringing the story to a final conclusion. I then started writing the rest of the series when I decided that I wanted to share the details of the life that made her into who she is in Book 6. At the time of posting the first chapter of the series, books 1-2-3 are completed and books four, five and six are in various states of completion. There is currently a novella following a side character that does include a few crossover chapters featuring the main character. The novella will be included in the completed versions of books 4 and 5.

It all started with the adventure at sea... Hans Rezmirn had always wanted an adventure, and he found it. He met different people, but most importantly, he met many friends and people he would learn to trust. One, in particular, was a dragon he saved from her own sadness, and gave her hope. But the end of their adventure was only the prelude of an adventure that would test them more than just strength. A new threat is coming for them, and no one would be prepared for it. They would learn how not to trust the light.... Follow the adventurers in a fictional world where rules of magic and cultures, along with geographical locations and technology were entirely their own. Enjoy the story where dragons rule the sky and beyond, along with protagonists who were not entirely human in appearance and race, but relatable all the same. Buy me a Coffee!

Let's Shine
So, first things first, this here is a magical girl thing. There are girls in it, they have magical abilities, fight supervillains (who have magical abilities, too, but in a more menacing way, like superpowers), and also do girly stuff. But it's not for children. Or at least not entirely. The idea is, it should be cute, but at the same time serious. Cute-serious, yeah… So, this is experimental for me. I'm planning to make short updates for as long as I can keep it up or until the plot resolves itself, whichever comes first. Most of all, I'm planning to not overthink or overedit things as much as I usually do, so there are bound to be mistakes and inconsistencies. I'll try my best to keep them to a minimum, though. But if you notice something, please feel free to tell me!
