Chapter 3: Where She Goes, Eyes Follow
I whispered in total awe as I looked at my new home for the next four years. "I can't believe I'm going to go to school here."
"Well you better get used to it." My father said, smiling as he patted my shoulder and started towards the school.
After our escort waved us all good bye, my parents and I started the short walk through the front grounds, passing by students lounging on the grass and soaking up the sun as they studied, read, or just napped outside. The path that we walked was made of randomly sized gray stones that went up towards the school in a slightly wavy pattern.
We walked up a wide staircase leading us straight to the huge front doors.
My old school was probably as tall as these doors. I thought as I looked up, staring at the oak.
"Are you ready?" I heard my mother ask as she came up beside me.
"Yeah." I whispered.
Before we could even touch the doors they were swung open and there stood my sister Dipi.
"You're here." She smiled, running up to us and hugging us as quickly as she could. "I'm so glad, it has been way too long."
"What are you doing here?" I asked her, slightly stunned.
"That's how you greet your sister?" My mother complained, as we walked through the front door.
"I live here Sebastian." She teased with a roll of her eyes. When I just gave her a look she let out a sigh. "So I might have kept our connection on today so I could sense when you were coming."
She led us through the huge hall until we were in front of a man standing behind a desk.
"Hi Todd," Dipi greeted him, using her award winning smile. "I'm here for my brother Sebastian Mishra-Terrenova. He is a new student and he needs his dorm and class information."
Todd nodded, going over to a computer where he seemed to type in a couple of things before he turned around heading into a back room out of sight. When he returned he was holding a short stack of papers.

"These papers have your dorm and class information," He told me as he was about to hand it to me before he stopped pulling them back. "Please do not attempt to use any magic on these papers, they are immune and it would not end well for you if anyone found out that you even tried."
I nodded.
"I would never, there would be no point." I told him, snatching the papers before he could say anything else.
I went towards one of the benches, sitting down so I could look through the papers.
"You know it's not good to be rude to people who work here." Our mother said. "He could be helpful in the future."
I kept in the urge to roll my eyes, knowing how my mother would react if I did. "I will remember that and try it out. Next time."
"Alright then," She sighed dramatically, her smile ruining whatever she was trying to do.
My sister Dipi looked around the room with a soft smile becore her gaze turned back to me and her smile widened.
"I guess I should show you around Sebastian. We'll drop Mom and Dad off with Orlando then I can show you around." She seemed to see a girl that she knew and waved and a light blush tainted the girls cheeks before she waved back.
But I was not surprised,
My sister Dipi was a very pretty girl. She had big brown eyes and a smooth face that complimented her full lips and more prominent jaw. Her black hair fell in loose natural curls that went just below her shoulders giving her a more mature look that she definitely deserved. She was on the taller side almost reaching the heights of my brother and I with her 5'10 and in her tighter fitting jeans and loose blouse she attracted attention from her fair share of people.
It was no wonder to me that Todd's eyes seemed to brighten a little more once she was smiling at him and I only hopped that I didn't end badly for him.
Because it ended badly for many others.

Though my sister was nice and usually more calm, she seemed to get so many people's attention that her disinterest in dating left a trail of broken hearts in her wake whether she knew it or not.
I gave her a look and she seemed confused, mouthing "what" so I just shook my head, hoping that she would let it go.
We made our way through the huge hall, passing by students before we walked through another doorway.
"Oh, Orlando. How is your brother?" Dad asked, his voice brightening at the mention of his last oldest child.
Dipi let out a quiet laugh while I just smiled. "You can ask him yourself dad, I'm sure he would love to tell you all about how being a junior professor has been."
She turned so she could flash a smile our fathers way, making it clear that she was only teasing.
We walked through wide and tall halls, the halls more empty since no required classes were taking place and students were most likely in dorms, alone, with friends or -as we've seen- outside.
"Orlando should be in his spare classroom right about now- oh! Here he is." Dipi said happily.
Dipi was looking into one of the classrooms when she saw him and sped in, leaving the rest of us to follow.
"Dipika, why were you running?" I heard Orlando ask our sister. "You almost never run unless- oh."
He stopped himself the moment that we walked into the room, somehow gaining the answer to his question.
"You guys are here." He put down the books he was holding and came up, hugging us like Dipi did only minutes before. "No wonder she was so excited."
"Hello Orlando." Our mother said, a smile obvious in her tone as she hugged her son.
"Hey Mama." He whispered, squeezing her a little before they broke the hug.
My brother Orlando sure was something in terms of looks. He had a prominent nose that on most people would take over their face but on him it blended in perfectly with with his cut jaw and thick beard and eyebrows. His thick black hair went up in a tall quiff keeping it away from his face so you could see absolutely everything, including his piercing gaze
Dipi came up from behind Orlando, grabbing my arm as she started to drag me out of the room.
"Well you guys can all catch up while I show Seb around the school." She quickly told them, hoping to not hear any objections.
We were almost out the door when we heard the oh-so-annoying,
"Hold on a minute."
We turned to see our dad with a raised hand.
"Show Sebastian his room and the area around it first before you try to show him the whole building." He ordered, leaving no room for discussion.
Dipi nodded her head so quickly you would've thought that she was a living bobble head before she had us high tail it out of there. No sign of patience anywhere on her.
We were soon briskly going down the halls in the direction of the rooms and all I could do was hope that my feet were going fast enough.
"Here we are." My sister panted out, out of breath from how she decided to get us here in the first place.
In front of us were two doors, one saying "Girls dorms" and the other saying, well "Boys dorms".
"I'm not allowed to enter the boys dorms so you will have to find the room yourself," She pat me on my back, shoving me a little as she did so. "Good luck, meet me out here in thirty minutes." I nodded turning back towards the door.
"Here goes nothing." I whispered, trying to add conviction into my voice, but failing terribly. I opened the door, not prepared for what met me on the other side.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh look,
I updated.
I actually have pictures of the people that I thought worked as Sebastian Dipika and Orlando so if you guys want me to show them let me know.
Or you could just stick with your imagination,
I don't mind.
I am feeling really not talkie right now so yeah,
bye!!! 👋👋👋
