《The Last Hybrid》20-Wedding Crashers

I woke up to an empty bed.
My eyebrows creased as I looked around the room.
My eyes landed on a tray of food on the side table.
There was a note.
I picked it up and read it in my head.
'Bad luck for the groom to see his bride.'
Next to the writing was a little winking face.
I smiled at the note as butterflies fluttered in my stomach.
The door opened as Josie, Marie and Stephany walked in.
Josie closed the door.
"You are lucky today is your wedding day otherwise I would kill you." Stephany said before she hugged me.
We did have a sleepover last night but I couldn't sleep.
So I just spent the night back in Jonathan's room.
"I know I'm a traitor." I hugged her back.
She pulled away. "Let's get ready."
I looked at everyone. "You have the picture's for your bridesmaid dresses?"
They smiled widely and set their magazines in front of me.
I smiled at the open pages.
We chose these dresses together.
I got out of the bed and picked up one of the magazines.
"Josie, you first." I said.
She squealed and stepped in front of me.
"Thau date ei de uestitu cupit." I casted the spell.
Her pajama's faded away and turned into the dress on the page.
It was a floor length greyish silver dress.
It was sleeveless and had a faint sweetheart neckline.
From the waist up it was covered in sequins.
She gasped as she admired the dress.
"Thank you so much, Rosie.! It fits perfectly!"
I put her magazine down and picked up a different one.
"Marie, you're next."
She stepped up and closed her eyes waiting for her dress to appear.
"Thau date ei de uestitu cupi."
Her clothing faded and appeared as the dress on the page.
It was also floor length and in the same greyish silver color as Josie's dress.

It was a mermaid style and was off the shoulder type dress.
Her dress hugged her curves until it reached her mid-thigh then it became flowier.
She opened her eyes and jumped in joy.
"It's perfect!"
"Stephany."
She grinned while stepping up.
"Thau date ei de uestitu cupit."
Her dress had the same silver greyish color and was also floor length.
It had a slit in the dress the reached up to her mid-thigh.
It had a silver waistband and had a sweetheart neckline.
The top half of her waist was covered in lace.
The lace went over only one of her shoulders.
The bottom half of her waist was loose and flowy.
"Oh, my Moon Goddess!" She squealed. "It's amazing!"
"I'm glad you girls love them." I smiled.
"Rosie," Marie spoke.
"Yeah?"
She opened the door and brought in a mannequin on wheels.
The mannequin had my dress and veil.
Marie closed the door.
I stared at my dress.
"What are you waiting for? Put it on!" Josie said.
I took the dress off the mannequin and put it on me.
It was snowy white.
There was a gem belt around the waist.
The bottom half was covered in lace and had a small tail trailing behind it.
The top half had no lace but had a very defined sweetheart neckline.
There was lace connected on the corners of the sweetheart neckline.
That lace came up and went around my neck but my cleavage was still exposed.
Overall the entire dress fit like a glove.
"Next hair." Josie spoke.
"Don't worry, I got this." I smirked.
I snapped my fingers.
In a flash, all of our hair was changed.
Josie's hair was in a ponytail with two small strands of wavy hair on either side of her face.
Marie's hair was wavy and she had a white headband on.
Stephany's hair was put up in a curly bun.

My hair was curled and pushed to the back with brides.
It was held together by two white flowers.
They awed insight of their hair.
"It doesn't matter how many times this happens I will never get used to this." Josie gasped.
"Last but not least, makeup." Marie said.
I raised my hand to snap my fingers until they grabbed my hand and stopped me.
"Not so fast missy." Stephany said. "We are doing your makeup."
"Are you sure?" I asked. "Really I'll I have to do is snap my fingers."
"Nope, this part is up to us." Josie said.
They sat me down on the bed and began working on my face.
They finished after a while.
They were now putting on their heels but they still haven't let me look in the mirror.
"Guys, can I look now?" I asked as I finished slipping on my heals.
"Hold on let us put the vail on first." Stephany said.
They grabbed the vail from the mannequin and clipped it into my hair.
"Now you can look."
They took me to the mirror in the bathroom.
A small gasp escaped my lips
I could barely recognize the person in the mirror.
My eye makeup was amazing.
I had black eyeliner and above it was thick silver glitter eyeliner.
There was faint black eyeshadow above the silver eyeliner.
The silver eye line would be the first thing you notice.
"Ready to go?" Marie asked
I smiled and nodded.
They handed me my white rose bouquet.

We were now at the church.
It was really close to the pack house.
It was still in the woods and it was run by werewolves.
I still haven't entered.
Everyone was inside but I was so nervous.
I saw my dad walk out of the church.
He saw me and walked towards me.
"What's wrong? Everyone is waiting for you."
"Dad, I'm so nervous I'm shaking." I showed him my trembling hand.
"You are here because you both love each other. Nothing is going to matter except for this day."
I took a deep breath.
He grabbed my hand and began to lead me into the church
I put my arm around my dad's arm as we walked into the church.
We walked in and the piano began playing Here Comes the Bride.
Everyone's eyes were on me.
I looked around as we slowly walked to the altar.
I didn't see my mother.
My eyes landed on Jonathan.
His jaw dropped when he saw me.
Before I knew it I was at the altar.
My dad kissed my cheek and then took his seat.
I stepped in front of Jonathan.
He smiled at me.
I smiled back
'You look amazing.' He mind linked me
'Thank you.'
He was wearing a black and white tuxedo with a silver tow tie.
Archie, David, and Quincy were standing behind him.
They were wearing black pants a white dress shirt, a silver vest and silver tow tie.
Quincy was wearing a doggy tux.
I tuned out every word that came out of the priest's mouth.
Until he said,
"If anyone objects to this marriage speak now or forever hold your peace."
There was a moment of silence.
"Then do you, Jonathan Beckett, take, Rosalinda Ryder, to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I do." He said without hesitation.
"Do you, Rosalinda Ryder, take, Jonathan Beckett, to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
I stared at Jonathan directly into his eyes.
"I--"
Something interrupted me.
The stain glass windows shattered.
Everyone ducked to avoid getting the glass in their eyes.
There were a few screams also.
Jonathan grabbed me and shielded me from the glass.
I looked at the end of the altar.
The large doors bursted open.
My mother, Violet, and my Aunt Hazel walked in.
My mother's eyes landed on me.
"We object."

The Forgotten Hero
Long ago, in the world of Thyne, the Alliance of the Free Races, a name they had given themselves, summoned a hundred humans from another dimension. Praised as heroes by the people, they rejoiced that they had been able to acquire pure, mana deficient humans that wanted to aid them in their time of need, ignoring the black, archaic slave collars around their necks or the depressed, almost hate-filled expressions that they received when interacting with them. After Ten years of bloody war, the dark races were pushed back deep into their territories. Both sides were near breaking point and desperate to end the war once and for all. In a bargain, the twelve surviving heroes launched a high-risk mission, utilising advanced tactics from their home world to kill the Demon Lord. In exchange, they would be sent home, along with the magically preserved corpses of their comrades, though in truth, they knew that even if they returned, they would never be the same. Legends say that, upon ambushing the Demon Lord in his castle, they finally understood the plight of the world, and in the last act of heroism, sacrificed their lives, sealing him in an eternal prison so his essence would not be able to create another. With the loss of the Demon Lord, and no chance for another to be born, the dark races quickly surrendered and the free races celebrated, honouring the noble sacrifice of the heroes before quickly forgetting about them as they returned to their everyday lives. However, legends are rarely truthful, embellished by the victors in order to earn praise as well as hide the less desirable aspects of their deeds. Trapped in the Demon Lord's throne room inside the Demonic Palace, which even taking a single step on its desecrated grounds is punished by death, two figures remain motionless. They had long run out of insults and threats to trade and now they waited. For what, not even the Gods knew.
