《The Last Hybrid》6-Snake and Mice

I stepped out of the shower and looked down at my body.

I expected myself to be covered in cuts and bruises but my skin was clean.

Like nothing had ever happened to me.

Not even and single scar.

I wrapped a towel around my waist and walked out of the bathroom.

I quickly went to the room that Rosie and I were before and locked the door.

On the bed, there was a full set of clothes.

Where did she get these?

I picked them up and changed.

They fit me perfectly.

Where did these clothes come from?

I felt something tickling my ear.

I ignored it and scratched behind my ear.

I felt a small weight on my shoulder.

I looked on my shoulder and saw and rat.

I screamed as it waves at me.

It fucking waved at me!

I hit it with my hand and jumped on top of the bed.

"Rosie!" I yelled.

She came bursting into the room.

"What!? What's wrong!?" She asked frantically.

I pointed to the ground with a shaky hand. "T-there was a rat!"

The rat was still in the same spot.

She looked at it then back at me with a blank stare.

"What?" I asked.

She rolled her eyes and picked up the rat.

"Get that thing away from me!" I growled.

"Don't tell me the big bad alpha if afraid of a few tiny animals." She said while being the rat on her palm.

"I'm not afraid. I just hate rats!"

"First of all, he's not a rat, he's a mouse."

"Potato, pah-tah-to." I responded.

"Second of all, you have three more on your other shoulder."

My eyebrows creased as I looked at my left shoulder.

She was right.

There were three other rats on my shoulder.

"Get. Them. Off. Me!" My eyes widened.

Rosie rolled her eyes and climbed on the bed.

"Playtime is over guys." She held out both of her hands to my shoulder.

The mice climbed off my shoulder and onto her palms.

"Jonathan, these are the mice. Just and few of my grandma's pets."

She held them out to me but I just backed away slightly.

"They're not going to hurt you, Johnny boy."

That stupid nickname She gave me made my ears perk up.

As much as I hated it I missed it.

I turned my attention back to the rats on her palms.

The fattest, or should I say biggest, one waved at me.

I relaxed my body and waved back.

Two other rats waved at me but the smallest one crossed its arms and turned its back to me.

"What's with him?" I asked.

"Her." Rosie corrected. "And She doesn't appreciate being thrown off your shoulder. She could have died."

"Oh. Can I hold her?" I asked.

Rosie nodded and motioned me to hold my hand out to her.

I carefully moved my hand out in front of her.

She hesitated but climbed onto my hand.

"H-hey," I spoke.

"She's not going to bite you Jonathan." Rosie pointed out.

I looked at the rat on my palm.

She gave me a small wave before crossing her arms.

She seemed like she was waiting for something.

"What is she waiting for?" I asked.

"An apology." Rosie responded in an obvious tone.

I looked back at the rat.

"Sorry, rat."

Her ears twitched as she gave my a glare.

"Mouse, not rat." Rosie corrected.

"Sorry mouse." I corrected myself.

The mouse gave me a small smile before climbing up my arm.

"What is she doing!?" I asked frantically.

I felt light pressure on my head.

"Relax she's just sitting on your head. She's not going to hurt you."

I let out a breath and relaxed myself.

"And it looks like the other mice want to get to know you too." Rosie said with a smile.

I looked at the other mice with wide eyes.

They jumped off Rosie's palm and climbed up my arms.

I squirmed around to get them off but it was no use.

They were sitting on my shoulders.

"Rosie?" I spoke.

"Yes?" She answered.

"How many more animals are there in this house?"

She smirked. "I'll show you."

She grabbed my hand and pulled me off the bed in one swift move.

She's gotten a lot stronger.

She lead me down the stairs and into the living room.

My eyes widened.

How many animals does one person need!?

I felt something on my leg.

I looked down and saw a snake crawling up my leg.

I screamed and fell backward onto the couch.

"Get it off! Get it off!" I yelled.

Rosie grabbed the snake calmly and just held it in her arms.

"Jonathan, meet Snake."

She held the snake closer to me so it was looked at me in the eye.

"Greatingsss ssstrange human." The snake slurred his 's.'

"Enough with the S thing Snake." Rosie said.

The snake looked at her. "You're no fun."

"H-he can talk too?" I spoke.

The snake looked at me. "Yessss-"

"Snake!" Rosie scowled.

"Alright! Fine! Hi, I'm Snake and yes I can talk. There! Are you happy now!?"

"I-Is there any chance that you're poisonous?"

"You know that is a very hurtful stereotype. If any human sees a snake its always 'Ah! A snake! It's going to bite me!' I'm just a regular, friendly guy." He rambled.

"Ok, that's enough, Snake."

She put him back on the ground.

"Ssssee ya. Ha! You thought I was going to stop!" He snickered as he slithered away.

Rosie rolled her eyes and turned her attention back to me.

"Any other other animals I should know about that could kill me in my sleep?" I asked.

"Well my grandma has a tarantula, but we always keep her in her tank."

"That doesn't make me feel better!" I pointed out.

"Relax. These are house trained animals. They're not going to hurt you." She said.

"Still doesn't make me feel better."

"Ok, If you want I'll give you a room with and lock. No animals get in."

I sighed. "Ok, that makes me feel a little better."

"Anything else Prince, not so, Charming?"

"Where did you get these clothes?" I asked.

"A spell." She answered casually.

What?

It can't be that easy.

A spell made clothes?

That fit me perfectly?

"What about me?"

"What about you?" She redirected the question.

"I should have bruises scars. I should have fast werewolf healing but not this fast."

"You were unconscious. Unable to heal yourself."

"So how come there are no scars?"

"I spent the last two days healing you. My grandma made a potion for you also."

She handed me a small glass bottle with strange markings on it.

"Take it as medicine." She said.

"What's in it?" I asked while shaking it.

She grabbed my hand. "Don't shake it. And that's a trade secret."
