Zipp landed in the valley and started running around, sniffing the ground and probably looking for Toothless.. Or Hiccup. "Okay girl, calm down." Her head suddenly perked up and she flew up. 'She must've found a scent trail.' "Well, he'll be easy to find... I bet he smells." She snarled and flew higher. "You are acting , girl." We flew a long way until she seemed to lose their trail. "You need to stop. I get it... I was being stupid and I'm not leaving Berk, but let's go back down, now!" She growled at me and suddenly, she flew straight down, into the fog. I closely held onto the saddle. We were now at sea level. "Girl, what are you doing?!" I shouted at her but quickly quieted down as I heard snarls and growls all around me. 'So many dragons.. Where are we?!' We had do dodge a few rocks and dragons and we flew up again. The fog started clearing up. "Oh my Thor.." A gigantic volcano on an island full of dragons. Most of the dragons seemed to be flying inside through some tunnels. 'It's almost like a beehive..' Zipp flapped her wings and we flew into a dark tunnel. I also noticed that all the dragons seemed to be bringing their kill here. I whispered, keeping my hold on the saddle. "Why would they do that..?" I stayed low on Zipp as we finally saw light. A giant cave, with dragons everywhere. "What the.." 'And why are they throwing all of Berk's food down a hole?!' Zipp landed on a little hill and hid behind a rock. "Girl, we need to get out of here!" I whisper-shouted at her but she just shook her head in reply. I noticed that all of the dragons have settled onto rocks and hills and there was only a slow gronckle left, flying above the giant hole. It stopped and slowly spit out a fish. It scratched itself.
A loud growling erupted from the hole and a giant, indescribeble dragon jumped up and gulped down the Gronckle. All the dragons, even Zipp hid even more. It fell back down and I wasn't sure what to do. Frozen in place. "What in the world..?" It suddenly peeked out and attack some dragons. Woth that I quickly got back to my senses. "Let's go girl!" We swiftly flew up, along with the rest of the dragon flock. The giant monster of a dragon tried to gulp us down too but thankfully we escaped.
"Barely, what the hell was that?!" I yelled out when we finally got away from the giant flock of dragons. Zipp snarled and slowly landed in the forest, close to the valley. I jumped off her and after a few stumbles I started walking towards the valley, Zipp followed me. "It didn't just look like a beehive, it even seemed to work the same as a beehive! That's like the queen, a giant terrifying dragon queen!" I pushed a few branches aside as I stepped closer to the valley. "Oh what my dad wouldn't give to find that.." I stopped, my heart racing. "That's for.. everything else." Astrid ran off in the opposite direction of me right after she said that, thankfully she couldn't see me. My heart felt a little empty after witnessing that. "Wow.. okay. I do have some feelings.." I whispered and Zipp nudged her head under my palm. I pet her. "Right, bring me down." She flapped her wings and in a matter of seconds, she picked me up and flew me down into the valley, right next to Hiccup.

"Oh! H-hey!.." I brushed off all of my weird feelings and smirked. "Someone went on a date without telling me..." I chooed as he turned around, clearly embarrased. "NO. Of course not!" I laughed and held his shoulder. "Are you suuureee Mr. I have a giant crush on Astrid and now I can't even tell my best friend that we went on a date?" He turned to me, perplexed. "Best friend?" I stood tall. "I better be." He laughed and looked me in the eyes. "Okay, best friend." I grinned and softly hit his shoulder. "But seriously, tell me more!" He laughed and started talking.
'I just really needed to forget everything. My mother, father and now, Hiccup and Astrid. Everything is a big mess.'
It was the next day and it was time for Hiccup to kill his first dragon. I pat him on the back and smiled sadly. "Good luck.." Before I could leave he quickly pulled my hand back and hugged me. "Oh.. Hiccup.." I pulled us apart and stared at him again. "You'll be fine. Alright?" He chuckled dryly. "I kinda have to be since we'll have to get married." I frowned and held his shoulders tightly. "Seriously though, don't do anything stupid." We shared an intense look and I finally left. We have talked about the marriage and since we care about the peace between my kingdom and the vikings of Berk we can put up with a marriage in a few years, even if we are far from being in love.
I was standing right next to my father, in front of the arena. "Hiccup! Hiccup! Hiccup!" The vikings chanted his name, full of excitment. I didn't need to see Hiccup to know that he was as nervous and as scared as ever. "Well, I can show my face in public again!" Stoick laughed as the vikings cheered him on. He raised his hand and all the vikings quieted down. "If someone had told me that in a few short weeks Hiccup would go from, well, being uhh... Hiccup, to placing first in dragon training, Well I would've tied 'im to a mast and shipped him off for fear he'd gone mad!" Everyone laughed and so did my father. It was fake as ever but that became normal pretty quickly after my mother..."And you know it!" He laughed again and the crowd quieted.
"But here we are. And no-one's more surprised or more proud than I am." He gave me a wink and continued on. "Today, my boy becomes a viking. Today, he becomes one of us!" The crowd began cheering Hiccups name again as we all went to our seats. I was seated next to Stoick and my father and one empty seat beside me. To be fair every other viking around was standing so it felt pretty awkward. I offered the poor elder the empty seat and she gladly accepted.
Gobber walked toward us and stood next to Stoick. I watched Hiccup carefully. I even took with me my weapons, in case anything went south. Hiccup walked inside the arena and went right over to the weapon stand. I squinted my eyes, hoping that he could just walk out. Everyone watched closely as he picked up a shield and a tiny dagger. "Hmm... I'd have gone for the hammer." I glanced at Stoick and then back to Hiccup. He took a deep breath and exclaimed. "I'm ready." The gates of the Monstrous Nightmare opened slowly, when suddenly it jumped out, the entire dragon already set ablaze. The crowd gasped and I gripped my sword tighter. The dragon roared as it started running around the arena. 'Poor thing... it's so scared.'

Then it stopped, right above Hiccup. It slowly looked at him and stepped in front of him, moving slowly, almost like a cat. Hiccup started backing up as the dragon followed. "No.. Hiccup.." He threw his shield and dagger to the ground and started trying to calm the dragon down. I slowly stood up and walked closer to the arena holding the bars that held the two inside. 'This is a bad idea, Hiccup.' Hiccup slowly took off his helmet and threw it away. "I'm not one of them." The entire crowd gasped in shock, betrayal. "Stop the fight." Stoick slowly stood up and picked up his hammer. "No! I need you all to see this. They're not what we think they are. We don't have to kill them." I growled as I saw Stoick get extremely pissed off. He ran up to the bars and slammed it with his hammer. "I said stop the fight!" This irritated the dragon and it started chasing Hiccup, so I took off running towards the entrance of the arena. "Astrid!" She stared at me as I took her axe in hand and opened the gate for her to go through. "Go!" Hiccup was still getting chased by the Nightmare. Astrid picked up a hammer and threw it at the dragon's head and it started chasing her. I heard the gate behind me open again. "Chief." He pushed me aside and opened the second gate with his arm. "This way!" Astrid managed to run up to us and get to safety but now it was Hiccup. "AAH!" He almost got to us too but the Monstrous Nightmare fired at him and he ran off to the opposite direction. "No, Hiccup!!" It pinned him to the ground with it's talons, and was about to fire at him. I looked up, hearing a familiar roar. "..Toothless." A plasma blast was fired at the bars and chains and smoke covered the entire arena. Toothless was fighting the Monstrous Nightmare.
'Toothless is protecting him..' I tried to walk towards them but the Chief stopped me in my tracks. "Wait, no!" Suddenly, vikings jumped inside the arena and started attacking Toothless. Hiccup was trying to make Toothless fly away but... it's not like he could even if he wanted to. "Stoick, no!" Astrid shouted as the chief picked up a weapon and charged at Toothless. I tried to stop him too but he pushed me off again. "Chief, wait!!" Toothless tackled the chief to the ground and got ready to fire a plasma ball at him. "No! NO!" Toothless looked at Hiccup right after he shouted. I was frozen in place. 'What if they realised I tried to protect him..' They tackled Toothless to the ground and held his mouth shut. "No, no, no! Just, don't hurt him!" I watched as Astrid held Hiccup back. I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked behind me. "This is bad, you must be disappointed... I thought Hiccup actually turned into a viking." I gulped and took a step back. "Yeah, I guess this means we're leaving."
"What do you mean you'll fight too?!" He stomped his foot and shushed me. "There's no greater way to become allies than joining in a fight." I looked down. "I guess mom just wasn't enough for you, huh." He slowly turned to me and then did something I didn't expect. He slapped me, hard. It sent me stumbling onto my chair. "Your mother was a brave woman. Do not bring her into our argument." I held the side of my face that he hit and quietly said. "Yes sir." I remembered the dragon island and the giant queen that lived inside. I gulped down and walked up to him. "Look dad, you don't know what you're getting into. Y..You can't win!" He stared at me.
"You've been to this... dragon Island...?" I shut my mouth and kept quiet, slowly I nodded. "With Hiccup?" I thought about my answer and slowly shook my head. "No." He grunted and glared my way. "Is this because of that dragon? I knew I should've just tell you to kill it. It would've been better for you." I gasped and shut my eyes. "No dad... it wouldn't have been better. That dragon saved my life, he atleast deserved to survive!" He slammed his fist into the wall and took out my mother's swords. "I should've left you then and there! To fend for yourself!" I gasped and fell back, putting my hand onto the table for some balance. We shared a staring competition until he walked out of the house, slamming the door shut. "Dad... I'm sorry." I ran upstairs and quickly took my swords. "I'll do what I deem as right."
I ran through the forest, on my way to the valley. It's funny, after Zipp's tail healed she could've just flown away, but, she didn't. "Zipp!" I hit my sword against a rock and heard a swoosh sound. "There you are girl! Come on." I ran up to her and jumped on her back. "We have to go." As if Zipp read my mind she took off flying. I watched the village, looking for a certain person. I pointed to the arena. "There, girl." She flew down and with a flap of her wings, she landed on top of the arena. "Hiccup-..... guys...?" I watched their shocked expressions. "Wow... Hiccup told me you had this almost titan-like Scuttleclaw, but wow..." I glanced around the group of people. 'Snotlout, Fishlegs, Ruffnut and Tuffnut, Astrid and Hiccup.' I gestured for Zipp to put me down and she threw me up and gently set me down inside the arena. "I'll be honest.. I wasn't expecting you all to... you know." I watched them all, their new dragons too. Snotlout with the Monstrous Nightmare, the twins with a Zippleback, Fishlegs with a Groncle and Astrid with the Deadly Nadder. I turned to Hiccup who was staring at me. "Right, I guess this is your plan?" He grinned and walked over to Zipp who happily nudged his hand. "Yeah." I nodded and shrugged. "Right, then what are we waiting for?" I tapped my foot and Zipp ran up to me, I pet her and jumped onto her back. I hooked myself in the saddle and gestured for Hiccup to take my hand. "We'll need to get Toothless as soon as possible." He nodded and took my hand, I pulled him up and he settled.
"Go on everyone!" I watched as they all mounted their dragons, quite funny to watch but there's no time to laugh right now. "I'm ready." I smiled at Astrid "Me too... I think." I glanced at Fishlegs as he awkwardly sat on the Gronckle. "Me too!" "Me too!" The twins started hitting eachother and arguing, great. "I'm not." I laughed and started walking with Zipp. "Let's go then!" We took off and the rest of the crew followed us. I felt a hand around my waist and glanced back at Hiccup, who quickly took it off. "Oh sorry.. I just.. there's not much to hold onto-" I shushed him and put his hand back. "It's fine. So what's the plan?"
"You saw that dragon too, right Y/n?" I nodded and noticed that Zipp caught the track again. "I'll come up with something when we see the whole dragon." I hummed and flew up. The island is kind of visible already. 'I'll save my dad... he might not be the best but... I really broke everything by mentioning mom... I don't even know why I did, I loved her, I still do. She taught me everything I know.' I glared at sky. "Hiccup, go with Astrid." Zipp flew closer to Astrid and her Deadly Nadder. "But-" I shook my head as their wings collided. "No buts. I have my own thing that I need to do." He hesitated, but he jumped over to Astrid and took control of her dragon. I pet Zipp and whispered. "Let's save him, alright?" Zipp growled and flew ahead. "Wait!" That was the last thing I heard before Zipp and I flew off to attack the giant dragon Queen.

The book isn’t done yet. Haha—SLAP!«Who put this guy in the synopsis narration?! Get him out of here and launch the warnings! Now!»***WARNINGS:— The MC is human. If you’re looking for a perfect MC, you’ll only be wasting your time here. However, if you’re looking for an MC who will LEARN, GROW because of his flaws. An MC who will try his hardest to overcome adversity, then you’re in the right place.— No harems. However, it doesn’t mean the characters can’t fool around without having love interests. A relationship isn’t necessary for people to satisfy their physical desires.— You will find a few typos, grammatical and wording issues, that’s certain. I’ll do my best to bring you guys quality content and such issues will either be nonexistent or extremely few. However, one man can only do so much. If I get enough support, I’ll hire an EDITOR that will look at the chaps with a fresh eye. And POOF! Issues no more. Improved quality. Happier author and reader. Not sure if the editor will be happy tho.— The first three chapters are fast-paced as to quickly get into the nitty-gritty but slow down afterward to give the story the time it needs to progress accordingly.— The book can, never mind, it will contain «strong» language, gore and violence.— Comedy, as you know it (and if you don’t, now you know) is subjective. So you might not like the jokes.— If you truly read that until the end you have my virtual congratulations ‘cause I sure as hell wouldn’t have done that.

But should he choose to fight, there is one advantage that Algier has that can tip the odds in his favour: Demons don’t lie, but humans can. How to read this story Demons Don't Lie is written from the perspective of an unreliable (lying) narrator. There are many inconsistencies within the story which are placed there intentionally. It's up to the reader to decide what is the truth and what is the lie. Promotion Full quality cover image
