《httyd 1 x reader》Ch. 6 A different perspective

I woke up to my father shaking me awake. "First of all, never leave the torch lit at night. And second of all, a boy is here? Hiccup. He's waiting downstairs." I groaned and watched my dad leave the room. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. Then I quickly threw on my weapon belt and took my sword. I picked up the egg from besides the torch and covered it in blankets from my bed. 'I hope he didn't see that...' I gave it a pat and left to meet Hiccup.

I jumped off the last stair and noticed that he was just awkwardly standing there, trying to hide something behind his back. "Uh, hey Hiccup." He turned his head towards me and smiled. "Now, I have to show you something." I tilted my head but listened anyway. "Sure, what is it?" I sat on the table while Hiccup held up a... thing. "What is that?" I pointed to the thing and he frowned. "I'll tell you but first, you tell me something." I nodded. "What?" He smiled again. "Do you wanna meet the Night Fury again?"

"Hiccup, I am once again, reminding you that you are crazy." He chuckled and nudged me. "Thanks." I laughed with him but asked him. "Why am I bringing two loads of fish though. Shouldn't one be enough?" He laughed nervously. "Well, I was hoping that if the Scuttleclaw-" I interupted him. "Zipp." He smiled. "If Zipp showed up, she could have breakfast with us." We climbed down through the tiny caves. Hiccup told me to wait and so I did. "Hey Toothless, guess who brought breakfast." He gestured for me to walk in so I did. The beast immidietly growled and flared it's wings up, to intimidate me. "Hey! It's alright Toothless. She wants to be friends." I slowly walked over to Hiccup and put down the baskets with fish. I opened one of them and pushed it over. I cringed at the sight. "Okay, that's disgusting."

Hiccup walked over to me. Toothless was already way calmer at the sight of the fish. "Uh, we've got some salmon, some nice Icelandic cod and a whole smoked eel." Toothless suddenly freaked out. Hiccup picked it up from the pile and Toothless sneared in fear. "No, no, no, no, no! It's okay." I flinched but pretended like I didn't. "Yeah I don't really like ell much either." He wiped his hands on his vest. I walked over to Toothlesss' left side and put the other basket with fish on the ground. I watched as Hiccup installed the fin on Toothless.

After a bit of fighting he finally managed to do it. Toothless wiggled a little but then he spread his wings. "Uh.. Hiccup..!" Toothless decided to take Hiccup for a flight. "Whoa! Whoaa!" Hiccup was yelling as he was stuck on Toothlesss' tail. "Hiccup!" I yelled after him but that was a little useless. They were about to fly into the valley wall but Hiccup took control of the tail and they flew up. "Oh dear.." I started looking around. "Hiccup, if you die, I will seriously kill you." I look back up at the sky. "Come on.." That's when I heard a faint growl. I looked up and found the source of the sound.

"Zipp.." I quickly opened the basket with fish and picked one up. "You can have these.." I gestured to the rest. "Come here..." I was interrupted by more excited Hiccup's shouting. Toothless flew back into the valley and threw Hiccup off of his tail. "Hiccup!" They both fell into the water. I ran up to him and helped him up. I stumbled slightly and he caught me. "That was amazing, it worked!" I sighed and smiled down at him. "I'm glad Hiccup." I tilted my head as Hiccup was staring at something behind me. "Huh, what is it?" I turned around and chuckled nervously. "Hey there, girl.. The fish is right there..." I gestured to the basket and she slowly walked over to it. "This is... do you realise what this means..?" I turned back to Hiccup and held his shoulders. "We might no longer have to kill dragons... no more war." He smiled up at me and we stared at eachother for a few moments. I realised and quickly let go of his shoulders. "We have to make something.. like a saddle." He smirked. "Come on, I might have a few ideas." He took my hand and we ran back towards the village.

"Today is about teamwork." I was standing outside the arena this time. The teams were divided into Ruffnut and Astrid, Snotlout and Tuffnut and Fishlegs and Hiccup. It would've been uneven if I had participated. "Now a wet dragon head can't light its fire." The Zippleback was let out, the no longer flamable gas flowing out like a mist. "The Hideous Zippleback is extra tricky." Gobber and his thick accent were heard all around the arena. "One head breathes gas, the other head lights it. Your job is to know which is which." Gobber was inside the arena just in case something went wrong. Now I was just waiting for something to happen. I couldn't see what was going on but I could hear the dragon's gurgling. All of a sudden I heard Tuffnut shouting. "Help!" The two only girls in the arena then screamed too. And Tuffnut again. "Oh, Ohhh I am hurt, I am very much hurt!" The unflammable gas slowly cleared out and I could now see Hiccup Fishlegs and Tuffnut who ran to the gate. One of the dragon's heads slithered towards Fishlegs and he immidietlly threw all the water he had. "Oh, heh.. Wrong head."

The Zippleback started spewing out the gas. "Fishlegs!" He threw the bucket and ran away. Now it was just Hiccup, the two heads were in front of him. The dragon started sparking. "Now, Hiccup!" He tried to throw the water at the dragon but the head was too high so all the water just fell to the ground. "Oh, come on." For a second it was calm but then the dragon pinned Hiccup to the ground. "Hiccup!" Gobber ran after him but I gestured for him to stop which he did when he saw the dragon cover in fear. "Back, back... Back!" Hiccup has stood up and started walking towards the dragon.

The terrified Zippleback was shrieking in fear. "No-Now don't you make me tell you again!" He backed the dragon into it's cage. "Yes, that's right. Back into your cage." I noticed the elder watching from beside me. "Now think about what you've done." The dragon was now fully in his cage and Hiccup simply closed it. 'He definitely used the eel. That's my boy..' I blushed slightly. 'That's my boy..? Really, Y/n?' As he turned back around he noticed that the entire group was staring at him in shock, even Gobber. "Okay, so uh are we done? Cause I've got some things I need to.. uh.." He glanced at me and I smirked. "Yep,-" He was running up to me. "See ya-See ya tomorrow!" He passed me and was running towards his hut. I smirked and ran after him.

I was sitting next to the forge while Hiccup was making his saddle. I was still thinking about mine, I kept sketching and erasing because it didn't seem to make any sense. I heard Hiccup talking so I looked up at him. "So, any final ideas yet?" I shook my head and stared back at the notes. "You'll think of something eventually." He got back to work on the saddle. As I was watching him I finally thought of something again. I started scribbling it down. "Hiccup!" I jumped up and threw the sketch at his face. He smiled and threw it right back. "Here, let me show you how to make it." Yeah, I am not a blacksmith at all, but he is. He showed me how to make it and fixed a few of my mistakes. Now we both have our saddles.
