《Shot Down (hiccup x reader HTTYD)✔️》{•8•}

This is it, the perfect moment. I start to lean in, I can see something in her eyes, but I don't know what. Then out lips connect, something I've never experienced before went through me. It was a great feeling.
And the part that made my heart do flips, is she actually kissed me back!
I pulled away and looked at her, "I-I'm sorry," I began,
"No, don't be sorry," she smiled at me.
"I like you, a lot." I said, feeling my face heat up.
"Aw, is hiccup blushing?" She asked with a smirk. But this time, it wasn't a playful smirk, it was a teasing, loving smirk.
I nod. And start to look away, but a hand catches my face and pulls it back toward y/n.
Then she kissed me, I returned it, obviously.
We stayed like that for what seemed like forever, until we herd a roar.
We both look up to see us hanging from out dragons feet. We both laugh and get back on our dragons, flying back towards Berk.
I hope that second kiss meant she liked me too.
~time skip~
We reach Berk and land Nightshade and Toothless. We hop off our dragons and they instantly begin to play with each other. We both laugh and watch them play wrestle. Then there's a roar from the sky's.
It's Astrid, on her dragon, flying above us.
"Hiccup! We need you at the town hall. It's urgent." With that, she flies off.
Hiccup whistles and toothless stops playing before running over to hiccup. He takes off running towards a building.
I don't know what's going on, but I'm going to follow him. I take off running, knowing that Nightshade will follow me.
I enter the meeting room a little later than hiccup, but I'm able to hear as much as I need to.

"We've spotted two ships from Dagur's armada." Astrid explained.
"Where were they?" Hiccup asked.
"Just to the south east."
"Alright, y/n, Astrid and I will scope around there. Snotlout, Eret, stay here to make sure they don't try and attack. Ruff, tuff, fishlegs, take the south." Hiccup said. I was impressed by how quickly he was able to make plans.
"Hiccup, are you sure you want her coming along with us?" Astrid asked, folding her arms across her chest.
Hiccup nodded and looked at me. "I trust her. And we also need her dragon, she's even faster than toothless."
Astrid looked lost of words, she just huffed and walked towards Eret.
~ Time Skip ~
We're all flying towards the south east part of the island, looking for Dagur's ships.
What in Thor's name could he possibly want now?
"Y/n, go scout out ahead, come right back and make it fairly quick."
Y/n nodded, then her and nightshade took off flying at a high speed, through the clouds.
"What do you see in her?" Astrid asked me.
I look at her in disgust. "What has gotten into you Astrid? You have never acted like this before! And quite frankly, I see a lot of better qualities in her than I saw in you, for the record-"
My sentence is cut off by a hair raising scream. My head snaps forward and I take off on toothless towards where y/n was headed. I stop and look around, then I spot a ship down on the water. Dagur.
"Hiccup! You didn't tell me you had another friend that rides a nightfury!" Dagur sneered, gripping y/n by her hands, a rag over her mouth.
"Leave her alone Dagur!" I yell, anger flaring up inside me.
"If you ever want to see her again, I suggest that you hand over your dragon." Dagur shouts at me, smirking, before walking off with y/n in his grasp.
