《RTTE watches HTTYD》(12) First Flight

"Serves them right!" It could have been from Mala or Dagur, or both.
"Lucky they could all get on the one ship." Muttered Ryker, Viggo lips twitched.
Mala was smiling now.
Mala and Throk were nodding along, deciding to completely ignore the sarcasm.
Viggo raises his eyebrow at the images, unamused.
"*Laughs insanely* They make it sound li-like Hiccups d-dead!*Continous insane laughter*" Viggo frowns at Dagur.
He's sure that to the Villagers, the "Old Hiccup" is dead and gone due to his success in dragon training. They never appreciated his brilliance, now that he's doing well in supposedly "Dragon Killing", it's from Hiccup learning from his pet dragon how to neutralize them as a threat in a non-harmful way. It's likely with how well Hiccup is doing and how well-liked he is, he will be the one picked to kill the Monstrous Nightmare. Hiccup, with what Viggo knows about him, only wanted to test his findings on other dragons in an environment that is safe for him, not for glory-seeking or proving himself.
"At least he cares. He's just terrible at showing it." From Throk.
"Of course he cares!" Everyone jumped at Shadow's voice; they forgot she was there. "For those that don't know, Valka, Stoick's wife, was taken by a dragon after it broke into their home on a terrible raid. When Stoick got to the house, Hiccup was crying because of a scratch on his chin, and Valka was seemingly pinned by the dragon. Stoick threw his axe between the two to get the dragon's attention off of Valka, it instead blew fire in retaliation. Stoick got Hiccup first but once he turned around the dragon had taken Valka and is greatly suspected to have been eaten by the dragon. Stoick has a great hatred for dragons because of this, more so than the regular Viking. Though he doesn't show it in a regular, traditional way, Stoick does love Hiccup. He's all he's got left." Shadow's voice was soft by the end.

There was silence after that. Nobody knew what to say, losing someone you love is a devastating loss that can fuel the greatest hatred. It suddenly made sense why Stoick was so determined to find the dragons' nest.
No one says anything, still solemn in the silence of the newest revelation.
The hunters nodded, no one could deny that.
Dagur's eyes bulged. "Why is he out there!? He could get hurt! Or fall to his death and no one would know!? Why couldn't he continue being tied to the stump!?" Was practically wailed by a visible distraught Dagur.
Mala was sending incredulous looks at him, then looked at Viggo and tilted her head briefly in Dagur's direction. Viggo just mouthed 'He has mood swings and trouble dealing with his emotions.' Mala content with the answer looked back at the images.
"If you have to have a sheet to remember the tail positions, you should remain tied to the stump!" continued a distressed wailing Dagur.
Everyone ignored him.
"Don't contradict! Contradiction is bad! It means you don't know the positions!" Everyone was just trying to ignore Dagur.
Almost everyone is impressed. Dagur is still wailing.
Everyone is less impressed. Dagur makes a distressed whimper.
Everyone is considerably less impressed. Dagur makes another, higher-pitched whimper.
That got some smirks.
"More contradictions." Muttered Dagur who was now rocking back and forth in a fetal position.
Shadow was trying to think of ways to get Dagur properly in a chair before the... More dangerous scenes.
Now the room gets a little nervous. Shadow silences Dagur and makes him drink a sedative to calm him down enough to strap him down to a bolted chair.
The room gets a little more nervous. Not noticing Dagur's confined state, with Dagur being too drugged out to realize his own confined state.

A few shoulders sage in relief...
Only to stiffen up again, the room temperature seemingly dropped with Hiccup. Dagur Sobers up in an instant and starts pulling on his restraints, realizing he can't get off the chair he starts cackling madly about swaddling Hiccup in layers of cotton when he sees him next.
Shadow sneakily puts ankle restraints around everyone else.
Was the understatement of the century to everyone else.
Shadow thinks that Toothless isn't the only one that needs to be calmed, everyone is on the literal edge of their seat.
Dagur stops cackling and muttering and goes eerily quiet again, eyes focused on the images, barely blinking.
The entire room has their hearts stopping, time seemingly slowing down as the room watches Hiccup's certain doom, completely forgetting he is fine currently.
The room's hearts continue beating with time speeding back up, postures still stiff.
Now that the perilous stunt was over Dagur then muttered. "Of course, he's an adrenaline junky, getting off on that kind of stuff, need to keep him in a baby-proofed room for the rest of his life." Everyone was too relieved to be disturbed.
Dagur just bursts into a giggling fit at the stress being relieved by Hiccup's wit.
"Serves him right, giving us a panick attack," Dagur muttered.
"I think he had one himself." Added Throk.
"Which he also deserved." Dagur Finished.
Many smirked tiredly. Once was clearly enough for Hiccup.
The Audience also watches amused.
The Audience smirks happily, ready to leave the stressful scene behind until they see Hiccup again.
"This is very important for upcoming scenes. You'll know when." Shadow states.
Everyone nods, confused.
The screen goes black again to let the Audience stew in their thoughts. Mala and Throk defiantly agree with Hiccup's assessment so pass the time talking about what to do after they go back to their Village.
The Dragon hunters however are left with far more to think about.
