"The Images will pause every time you comment and talk or take a break. No need to worry about missing anything." Shadow said.
Everyone was surprised to hear Hiccup's voice throughout the room. Dagur even yelled out "Brother!?" Making it clear he was now free from the gag.
"Why are we looking at this" Ryker mumbles, making almost everyone whip around to look at him, unable to believe he knew any other way to talk but yell.
"So that's what Hiccup looked like back then, I have to say compared to how he is now, it is a major improvement" Everybody else agreed with Dagur, though they didn't say that. (I never thought I'd see the day- wait actually, I did, I am the author after all!)
Most of the room nodded. There was no fault in that statement, it is clear as day in the riders after all, especially Hiccup.
Some raise their eyebrows in question.
Nobody could disagree with that after seeing the Viking just casually drop from the air and say 'morning' like an everyday occurrence, not even Dagur!
"What... Nice neighbors." Thork commented.
Mala couldn't help but think about how they are treating him. His house was burning, what was he supposed to do but leave? And if they really had a problem with him they could have done something, like train him. But then she remembered what Shadow said. They didn't like that he was different, that is what she said, so why didn't they train him to be like them?
Unknown to Mala, but almost everyone was thinking that. What? Dagur was chief for some time he had to notice these things, and when he did he assigned the person a personal trainer so they could catch up as quickly as possible. Viggo was thinking along the same lines, he was also just as skinny but his brother and grandfather taught him, his parents didn't do that much for him.
Dagur did a mix between a scoff and a chuckle, or was it a giggle? He almost forgot how sarcastic Hiccup could be, that was why it was so fun playing with him if only to hear his witty remarks.

Everyone who knew who exactly Stoick was to Berk, and Hiccup specifically, frowned. Just what was Hiccup's and Stoick's relationship like before Berk became dragon friendly?
Now everyone frowned. If he was chief, why didn't he do anything to help Hiccup?
"Not for long~," Shadow said.
Viggo pondered at that, 'Did she just give us a clue?'
Dagur started laughing as his so-called brother struck up a bodybuilder pose everyone else started to either smile or smirk at the way the man and Hiccup talk to each other. Queen Mala was just happy he had something to do.
Dagur, Viggo, and Mala frown at this. 'If he had a job to get to why did everyone start yelling at him and ask why he was outside?' All were thinking of how many weapons get damaged during a battle.
Dagur and Mala smirked at his sense of humor. Viggo and Ryker were looking at a side of Hiccup that wasn't the battle strategist.
It was here that both Viggo and Ryker were frowning. The others noticed and sent questioning looks at them. Viggo was the one who answered, "We keep women who usually don't fight and children out of harm's way. We don't even have women on the ships we take for dragon trapping or fighting, especially for long periods of time. The women get quite frisky with some of the other men and we don't usually have the time or supplies to take care of a pregnant woman when we are months out on a boat. The children stay out of harm's way where they can learn how to protect themselves from dragons and how to trap and kill them, to do that we teach them about all the dragons we know of. To us, the Dragon Eye isn't only about a weapon we use against dragons, it also ensures future generations know what they are up against. To know that Stoick is willing to let children be in the line of fire when they should be training makes us deeply confused as well as a little upset. It is one thing to work in a forge that you have been working in for years, which, even now he only works on the less deadly things in the forge it looks like, it is completely another thing when children are out in the line of fire and could easily get blasted. We count people under the age of twenty as children in terms of fighting and trapping." Viggo completed with Ryker nodding along.

"What about all the men you have?" Asked Mala somewhat angrily.
"They came from Dagur and other allies we made. We made sure to check that they were all over twenty." This came from Ryker surprisingly.
Dagur had a couple of questions. "Well, what about the dragon riders?"
"What about them" Ryker replied
"Well, I can tell you that Hiccup is at least fifteen in this.", Viggo and Ryker nodded, "And you know how I have been in a cell for three years, and it was only after I got out that he followed me and then got into the war with you?" Again the Grimborns nodded, even Mala and Thork were interested.
Seeing as they haven't gotten the point yet, Dagur continued, "Which means Hiccup is only seventeen years old, and the rest are only about a year or two off, including Heather. I am twenty-five. Do you see where I am getting at now? It's why I am protective of Heather. I was making sure she was safe." At this Viggo and Ryker went rigid, it took a minute for what was said to finally sink in.
The Grimborns both looked at each other, pale. They went against their code as a tribe. In their traditions, you can court anyone, no matter the gender, as long as both parties are sixteen or older, having four years to find someone to court before they are expected to take on the responsibilities of an adult. The riders should be more busy finding someone to court, not figuring out war strategies. The Grimborns then went back to the pictures and promised to see what Hiccup is really like. Viggo did always have a reason for being obsessed with Hiccup, and there was always a reason why Ryker wanted to fight him one on one as much as possible. It was also extremely rare for the brothers to agree on something. They were only thankful that they decided to not kill the riders the first chance they got, they resisted shuddering from the implications.
"That was their own fault for not teaching him." Dagur commented.
Everyone looked at him. He sighed before saying, "Whenever I would visit Berk before fighting them I would see everyone's parents train with their kids for at least an hour either in the training ring or somewhere near their houses. The thing is I have never seen Hiccup being trained. When I asked Stoick about it he just said he didn't have time and so he asked Gobber to train him. It seemed Gobber thought that to be forge training and not any combat training." Everyone frowned at this.
'Then how does he wield a sword so well' went through the Grimborns' heads, their respect for Hiccup growing along well as their obsession.
Everyone frowned at this but didn't comment. Getting used to how Hiccup is treated. 'Which we shouldn't be.' They thought.
Mala and Thork frowned but didn't comment. They couldn't blame Hiccup for wanting to be noticed with how he has been treated so far. The hunters smirk at Hiccup's sarcasm and how it downplayed how dangerous the beasts were.
Everyone pondered this. So this is where they first meet the night fury, and why would the last the Nightfurys be around this dragon-hatting island? Mala and Thork questioned it heavily.
"He is going out, isn't he?" Malla said with everyone else that has encountered Hiccup nodding.

Prince of Destiny
Karl is the last prince of a royal house that has been overthrown by brutal revolutionaries. Orphaned by the revolutionaries, he was rescued and has been raised in secret by Leevana, a green skinned night-hag, for the past ten years. When Karl turns sixteen and is old enough to embrace his destiny, he and Leevana must set out on a quest to find his royal grandmother. But the depraved new leader of the revolutionaries, Joe Steel, is on their trail... Somewhat inspired by the basic concept of Don Bluth's fairy tale animated feature, purporting to be based on the myths surrounding Anastasia Romanov. I don't think this counts as a fanfiction, because it does not use anyone else's characters and it is in its own self-contained world, but please keep in mind the inspiration. Leevana and Karl are completely original characters, but Joe Steel, the bigger bad, is inspired by Stalin. Maybe let me know if you think it should have a fanfiction tag or not.
