"Lilo, can you take Jordyn down to the cafeteria? I heard they have those chocolate donuts she likes."

She nodded. "Are you going to be okay?"

"Yes, I just need a minute to myself."

"Come on Jordyn. They have your favorite."

She gasped. "With the sprinkles?"

"Yes." She laughed grabbing her hand leading her out. Once they left I took a deep breath laying on the back of the bed. The more I laid here and thought, the angrier I got. He told me he wouldn't leave me and then when I told him one of my darkest secrets, he leaves.

I turned my head when the door opened. Zae walked in closing the door behind him. I rolled my eyes turning away from him. I could feel him staring at me as he walked closer to the bed.

"I'm sorry." He tried grabbing me but I pulled away.

I scoffed. "That's all you have to say?"

"I'm stupid, Luna. I shouldn't have stormed out like that. You didn't deserve that, especially from me." He explained trying to grab me once again.

"Don't fucking touch me, Zae. I stayed with you. I held you when you cried. I told you things I haven't told anyone and you JUST LEAVE? YOU TOLD ME YOU WOULDN'T! WHY WOULD YOU LIE TO ME?"

"I fucked up. I was right outside that door. I tried leaving but I couldn't. This was a lot to take in. You do realize what you told me?"

"You sound stupid as fuck. Oh, you tried leaving? Just leave for real this time. That way you don't have to decide. Get all your shit and get the fuck out."

He shook his head. "I'm not leaving, Luna."

"I wasn't asking you, I'm telling you. I don't want to be with you anymore. I told you I could be a heartless bitch. You didn't want her but you got her now. You fucked up when you walked out that door. There's no coming back from this. Once I'm released from here I'll get you the money for Jordyn's surgery then I don't want to see you again."

"You don't mean that."

"I mean every word. Get out!" I pulled the cover over my head closing my eyes. I could feel a massive headache coming on. I groaned in pain gripping the sheets.

"Are you in pain?" He touched my arm.

"Leave me alone." I blinked back tears shrugging him off. I heard his footsteps moving away and the door opened then closed. I released a breath I didn't even know I was holding.

I pressed the button for my nurse to come into the room. The door opened making me remove the sheets from my head. Zae walked back in with the nurse.

"How are you feeling, Ms. Hogan?"

"This headache hurts really bad."

"Have you been raising your voice by any chance?" She questioned raising her eyebrow.

"She has actually." My head snapped over in his direction.

"Raising your voice causes your headaches to be more painful. You should take it easy and relax. I'll go get your pain pills for the pain. Mr. Zae don't go stressing her. She needs you to take it off of her."

"I will." She smiled leaving out the room.

"You should stop lying to people. It's not cute."

He laughed. "Luna, I apologize from the bottom of my heart. I should have never walked out that door. You were there for me and I left. I feel like a bitch for doing this to you. I'm sorry honestly."

"Stop." He came over laying next to me. He laid his head in my neck placing kisses on it. "I'm sorry baby."

"I hate you."

"Don't ever say no shit like that. I fucked up when I walked out that door. I broke that promise I made to you and I'm sorry. I won't ever leave you like that again."

"Do you know how that made me feel? If you have seen that look on your face, you would've been hurt too. You looked at me with so much disgust."

"It wasn't like that. I was just in shock. I never thought you would say anything like that to me. I had to let everything settle in. I needed a minute to myself. That's it."

"Just stop talking to me." I quickly wiped the tear that fell down my face.

"I'm sorry, beautiful. I'm going to keep telling you until you forgive me." He gently grabbed my face placing a kiss on my lips.

"LUNA! I brought you food." I opened my eyes to East standing over me. He was finally back after hours. Lilo went home because she was tired and those Braxton Hicks were kicking her ass. Jordyn and her parents left as well. We spent time together but it was getting late and she had school.

I mugged him. "Do you have to yell?"

"My bad. Here you go." He handed a bag. "I like the haircut. It fits you well."

"You think so?" I ran my fingers through it making him nod. "Thank you."

"You're welcome."

"You know you haven't been a good bestfriend lately. I think it's time I replace you with Lilo."

"Stop playing. I've been here every day, all day."

"Where were you yesterday?"

He sighed. "I was handling business."

"Are you trying to find out who did this?" I raised an eyebrow. "If so, just leave it alone. It's my fault this happened. I'm going to let my uncle handle the rest. So you need to stay out the way before you end up in one of these beds like me."

"I'm not." He stressed.

"You seem like you're lying." He didn't say anything but look down at his food. I rolled my eyes looking in the bag he gave me. "There are two burgers in here."

"I got one for your boyfriend."

"Look at you being nice." I threw the burger on the side of Zae face. I was still mad about earlier and I was going to be petty for the time being. He groaned moving around in his sleep.

"It was only right." He shrugged.

"Why would you do that?" He tightened his grip around my stomach being careful of my wounds.

"Eat up playboy." I laughed biting into my burger. The door opened and my uncle walked in with a grin on his face. I mugged him causing it to drop.

"What?"

"What happened to I'll go get your nurse?" I mimicked his tone.

"I told her old ass to come in here."

"Where did you go?"

He smirked. "That fine ass Joy wanted a piece of this. I couldn't pass that up."

"You're truly disgusting." I scrunched up my face.

"Joy? The same girl that likes you?" East questioned with an amused look on his face. I looked at him sideways wondering why did he just say that.

"Like her?" My uncle frowned.

"It's just a small crush, nothing serious. She obviously likes you if you got in them cheeks." He laughed.

"But y'all did kiss. You know Luna don't kiss nobody."

"You kissed somebody else?" Zae now asked.

"It was just for something. I didn't even like it that much and it was before you."

"I don't want to mess with anybody you did. That's nasty."

I laughed. "We didn't mess around. If you wanna have sex or whatever with her, then go ahead. I don't care at all. I don't even know why East felt the need to bring it up."

He held his hands up laughing. "My bad."
