Excuse any mistakes!
"It ain't nothing like the first time. I'm tryna tell you I can blow your mind. Baby, if I touch you here." She sung dragging her fingers down to my stomach into my sweats gripping my piece. I bit my lip looking at her. She smirked placing a small kiss on my lips. "And kiss you there. Gonna fall in love, shorty, you best beware."
I laughed. "You just don't stop."
"How much do you like me?" Luna questioned lacing our fingers together. I smiled at the small effort she did do. She never liked doing this before we met. She was finally warming up to me.
"Enough to chase you. Call you every damn day, reminding you how beautiful you are. I felt like we could have something for a long time and I don't want to give up on that. So I kept pushing because I knew you'll come around. Why you ask that?"
"I-I was just asking." She stammered.
"Say what's on your mind." I encouraged.
"What if I wasn't the person you thought?" I looked at her confused. "If I didn't tell you everything that I've done in my life. The good or bad. Would you still want to be with me? Would you ever judge me?"
"Did you judge me when you found those drugs?"
"No, but that's different. What if it was worse than drugs?"
My mind raced thinking of what she could have possibly done. She looked hella innocent to me except her strong ass sex appeal but other than that you wouldn't think she'll steal a bag of chips.
"I'll still be here no matter what. You did shit for me no one has ever thought about doing. You're paying for my sister's surgery, the whole fucking thing. Do you know what that means to me? Now, look where we at. In a whole other country sitting outside, watching this amazing view. You laid down with me when I was at my lowest. It wouldn't feel right leaving you when you broke down and told me yours."
She smiled. "How did I become so lucky?"
"Nah, how did I become so lucky?" I leaned up pecking her lips. She deepened the kiss sliding her tongue in my mouth. She pulled back staring deeply in my eyes. Her face flushed red as she opened her mouth then closed it.
"Say it."
"I think I'm falling in love with you."
"Are you saying that because I finally gave you this dick?" I joked. She mugged me slapping my chest.
"I'm being serious."
"I know I'm falling in love with you." I said being for real. She smiled brightly pulling me in a tight hug. I wrapped my arms around her not wanting to let go. This woman was doing the unthinkable to me.

"You're turning me pussy." She said in my ear. I looked at her face seeing the most serious look on her face. I laughed throwing my head back.
I laughed slightly wiping the tears that ran down my face. This was probably one of the worst feelings. Imagine expressing how you feel to someone and then jumping into a relationship only hours later to hear they were shot multiple times. This pain I was feeling hit different. We just seen each other less than 24 hours ago.
I took a long pull from my blunt. I stood outside of the hospital waiting to hear some good news but every time I went inside nothing was looking good.
"Mind if I sit here?" I looked up seeing East. I shook my head shrugging. "How you holding up?"
"I should be asking you that question."
He sighed. "I'm trying. This shit is hard. I never thought I would be in this position again."
"She's been in the hospital before?" I frowned.
"I'm talking about with her pops. It was hard for the both of us. He was like a father to me. Then you know the rest." He chuckled bitterly.
"Have they said anything else?"
"Nope."
I took a deep breath putting out my blunt heading back inside. Her uncle was sitting in the chair with his leg shaking violently. An officer said something to him and he snapped.
"So you're telling me, there were over 30 people outside and NOBODY SEEN SHIT?! Get me answers now before I shoot this bitch up." He yelled.
"Sir, if you're making threats then I'm going to have to ask you to leave."
"You gone be the first bitch I shoot. Get the fuck out of my face." He spat. The officer swallowed hard walking away.
"Dad calm down." Lola cried trying to grab his hand but he jerked away.
"I don't understand." Lilo wiped the tears falling from her face. "She just went to go get her phone. How did all of this happen?"
"I told her. I told her time after time. Don't do it, Luna. She wanted to be stubborn like her damn daddy. This is my fault. I didn't protect Carlos and I couldn't protect his only daughter." He looked down to the ground with teary eyes.
Feeling a lump form in my throat, I tried my best to ignore it. It didn't want to cry anymore. She was going to be okay and if she seen how I was acting she would laugh straight in my face. We waited for hours just hoping when the doctor came out things would be good.
"Family of Luna Hogan?" An older black male approached us with a clipboard in his hands. He gave us all a tight-lipped smile.

"How is she?"
"I don't know if anyone informed in but you Ms. Hogan is in critical condition. She was shot 4 times. Once in the shoulder, twice in the stomach, once to the head. The bullet went straight the side of her head and exploded leaving bullet fragments in her skull. It would be a big risk to try and remove them. Also unfortunately if we continued working on her with the amount of blood she was losing she would've died on the table. It stopped for a while but it's not looking good."
"So, what are you saying?" Gabe questioned.
"I'm saying 132 is her room number and you should start saying your goodbyes." He gave us a sympathetic look walking away. I could hear everyone began to scream as I stood there letting the words echo through my head. I couldn't process anything afterwards. I punched the wall letting my anger take over.
"Zae, calm down." I felt someone wrap their arms around me. From the scent of the perfume, I already knew who it was. I didn't even know she was here.
"Mama I can't lose her." I cried. She shushed me rubbing my head.
I opened my eyes feeling pain throughout my whole body. My head was pounding and I had the biggest headache. Blinking a few times trying to let my vision clear up but it didn't work. I panicked feeling someone come by my side.
"Calm down, Ms. Hogan. My name is Wanda, I've been your nurse for the past week."
"I-I can't s-see." I croaked out. My throat was so dry it caused more pain.
"Here drink this." She lifted a cup to my lips. I could barely open my lips as she held the straw to my lips. I drank the ice-cold water fast. "The doctor will be in here shortly. I will go and notify the rest of your family. I think he'll be up soon."
"Who?"
"That young man sleeping on the couch. He hasn't moved since you were allowed visitors." I heard the door close, I assumed she left. I felt around my face feeling it swollen to the max. I moved up to my head touching the bandage that wrapped around. Just as I was about to stop I felt something unusual.
My heart rate started to increase feeling bald spots. My hair was missing. Then I couldn't see, everything was fuzzy. The monitor began to beep rapidly. I gripped the sheet turning my head trying to hold back tears forming in my eyes.
"Calm down, Luna. Take slow steady breaths for me." Zae's soothing voice filled my ears coaching me.
"I-I can't."
"You can babe." He squeezed my hand slightly. Breathing in and out, I finally calmed down.
"You've been here this whole time?" I tried smiling. Pain shot through my body.
"Why wouldn't I?" He kissed the side of my head.
"How bad is it?" He didn't say anything. "It's a good thing I can't see. I bet I'm ugly right now." He took my hands lacing them together with his.
"Nah, Luna. You're still beautiful. You look like a cute little chipmunk." He tried joking.
"Good afternoon, Ms. Hogan. I'm Dr. Stevens, I'm glad you're finally awake. You have everyone quite the scare this past week. Do you remember what happened to you?"
"No." My voice barely below a whisper. Even though I did remember, I wasn't going to tell him that.
"You were shot four times. Twice in the stomach, once in the shoulder and once to the head. The bullet pierced through your skull, so memory loss is common. We removed most of the fragments but couldn't risk removing them all because it's too much of a risk for your life. You also lost a large amount of blood. Your uncle provided us with his blood to save you. You flatlined during surgery three times back to back. It was the first time in my career I was actually scared for one of my patients."
"Sorry for the scare."
"It's alright. Can you see this?" I could feel his hand in my face but I couldn't physically see what he was doing.
"No, it's fuzzy. Why can't I see?"
"It's only temporary. Your vision will become clear within a few days. Are you feeling any pain, if so what do you rate this from 1-10. 1 being fine and 10 being the worst."
"A fucking 20. My body is on fire."
"I'll get you set up on morphine. Just lay still for me while I check your bandages." He moved my head lifting the bandage.
"My hair?"
"We had to shave the right side of your hair to operate surgery. I'm sorry, but we couldn't see properly with it in the way."
I inhaled and exhaled controlling my breathing. The doors opened and voices filled the room. I could make out one was my uncle.
"She's good?"
"Everything is looking good. I was afraid those stitches would pop open and she'll bleed out everywhere but it looks amazing. This is truly amazing to see. Her face isn't quite healed up yet but that's the least of our problems. We'll keep her here until we know she's fully ready and her body is capable of walking on its own. "
"As long as she's alive. That's all I care about."
"I'll go get you that medicine for your pain. They'll connect it to your IV and you'll be out." He walked out the room.
"How are you feeling?"
"I feel like shit." He groaned.
"We thought we lost you several times."
"My dad said it wasn't my time." I mumbled closing my eyes.

A World With or Without Aliens
Nothing matters. It's not my opinion, it's a scientific fact. This is neither good nor bad, it just... is. I watched my entire country burn, fried on a patriotic pan after some jerk fired a bunch of nukes at the docile fleet of alien ships hovering over us. Who gave this moron such power? I don't know. Everyone involved is most likely dead by now. As for me, I can't die. I feel pain like a normal person would (I think), but no matter how terrible the conditions, I will never die or pass out. Fortunately, a lot of alien technology survived its crash to Earth, so I get to spend some time playing with it until Mr. Author gets bored and decides to screw up my life. Beware, this has a "harem" tag. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm the main character and am therefore subject to this novel's timeline. While this bars me from the sweet ignorance of Chapter 1's me, it does have other perks... for example, I can tell you that heroine number one is personally responsible for kil-!? H-hey, back off! I'm your character, so if you didn't want me to be like this, then you should've written me differently! Randomguy here! In all seriousness, this novel is meant to explore the concept of nihilism as a post-apocalyptic/supernatural-scifi/satire told from a nihilistic introvert's first-person perspective. As you heard from my unsettled main character, each heroine is going to be a different type of horrifying socio/psychopath with dark motives and dangerous abilities (most of which are psychological). Why would I do something like this? Because I am, in reality, a nihilist who is often frustrated by weird things, like unrealistically dramatic stories, the industrialization of art (specifically music), and people who think swimming in brown creekwater for five hours is a "fun" activity. Don't get me wrong, neither me nor my character are depressed, we're just malcontents who make a lot of nerd references. I feel like the true essence of an "everything is worthless" perspective is lost on most pop-culture figures. The closest character I can think of at the moment is Rick from Rick and Morty, who is a drunk, angry nihilist that experienced tremendous loss. I, personally, find this belligerent state of mind to be very relatable, and have incorperated it into every chapter's introduction. Here, the main character talks directly to the reader (and me), shamelessly complaining about some semi-relevant facet of society, which probably doesn't make much sense... it's not really supposed to, though. These "angry nihilist" moments are just a peak into the main character's everyday existence, and also act as miniature rage-journals for me. It will sometimes take a subjectively 'positive' turn, but not very often. This is because reality isn't good or bad, "it just... is". I will eventually bring it full-circle to optimistic nihilism, since that seems to be a more practical way to live (and by "practical", I mean "doesn't create mental health issues"). It is, of course, a satire. I did this because most unnecessarily emotional moments or people usually make me feel kind of awkward, so I decided to mock them. That is, I plan to mock the characteristics about them I don't like in characters based solely off said characteristics. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my story!

Join the MC on a journey through a fantasy world as he searches for the reason of his existences and walk on the path to his destiny. The mature tag currently only applies for the side story, which is canon and could be skipped. I probably don't intent to add mature content into the main story. This is the first time I'm writing a story and I hope that you'll all like it. Constructive criticism will be appreciated, and I'll try to post at least a chapter per week.
