The days went on. they ignored me every day, but it all changed one night. They couldn’t control it anymore. I came home even later, at 9 pm. I was exhausted and collapsed when I was making dinner.

“Y/N?” Younghoon asked and then gasped, running over to me. “Are you okay?”

“I-I’m fine”, I said. “Why are you suddenly talking to me again?”

“Did you hurt yourself?”

“I’m okay, just need to sit down for a little.”

The others hurried down and helped me sit down, giving me some water.

“You’re overworked!” Chanhee said. “We told you-!”

“I’m fine, I just didn’t sleep well tonight.”

“Why did you come home so late then?” Juyeon asked coldly.

“I...had to work a little more…”

I was ashamed. They had told me not to do it, but yet I did.

“Exactly!”

“Go to bed, we’ll take care of you”, Younghoon said.

Sangyeon carried me to my bed and tucked me in.

“Sleep”, he said. “Okay?”

“Thank you…”

We gathered in our room.

“We’ll kill him. The boss”, Eric said. “Not even wasting time. I’m doing it tonight.”

“You need to hack into Y/N’s phone and find his name so you can google him up and find where he lives”, Haknyeon said and smiled. “I’ll help you.”

“Me too”, Chanhee said. “I’ll get what you need.”

“I’ll watch Y/N so she won’t wake up”, Sangyeon chimed in.

“I’ll make sure the cameras don’t catch anything”, Changmin said.

“I’ll clean the knives after”, Jacob said.

I felt some pride in myself when the other hybrids wanted to join in and help. We’d always have to take care of them, to protect them...but now they wanted to help us protect Y/N. That made me so happy.

“Okay…”, I smirked. “Let’s get things on then.”

We helped Eric get information about Y/N’s boss, the man who had let her feel like this, the one that had her working past her limit. The one that made her collapse out of exhaustion when she came home. I wanted to get him out of our way too. He could ruin our relationship with our owner if things got too lovey, dovey. Y/N wasn’t safe with anybody but us. I watched Kevin leave the house and then come back two hours later. As promised, Jacob helped him clean the knife and Changmin deleted the footage on the security cameras. I felt so proud over my little animals.

“And that was that!” Eric smiled happily. “Now we have Y/N all to ourselves.”

“She’ll have to find a new job though…”, Chanhee sighed.

“Not as an assistant”, i said. “She won’t dare.”

And I was right.
