《The Hybridz | TBZ✔》Chapter 28 | Dipshit

“And what the fuck am I doing in here?” I growled.
I sat in an investigation room, my hands connected to the floor with heavy chains. I could still move my arms, but it was very heavy.
“I wanted to talk with you”, a man said. “I talked with your owner, Y/-”
“Y/N?” I cut him off, happy to hear her name. My ears perked up in happiness.
“Yes, I went over to her house to ask her some questions…”
He was at our house? He was alone with Y/N? I don’t like this.
“Yeah? So?” my voice was totally different from the last time I opened my mouth. My ears sloaked now.
“I got to see some camera footage of you being away on the night the murder of her parents took place-”
“Yeah? So what? I was buying rabbit meat! I was hungry!”
I turned the computer towards him and let the audio play.
"You took a while.”
"What are you doing up? Didn't I tell you to go to sleep?"
"You're wet."
"Well, duh, it’s raining."
“I don’t get it”, I said, not trying to even bother covering up my rudeness.
“Y/N pointed out that it took awhile for you. What were you doing for such a long time?”
“I couldn’t find any rabbit meat. It took me almost forty minutes to find it. It’s not something they regularly sell, I’ll tell you that. How many stores do you think have rabbit meat laying around? They had hid it in the very back of the store!”
“And then what? When you walked home?”
“It was raining, obviously.”
“When I drove back here after talking with Y/N, I noticed that the supermarket isn’t that far away from her house. You wouldn’t have gotten that wet by that walk.” He stood up and started walking back and forth like some idiot. “You did this. You went home to Y/N’s parents, killed them and then washed yourself off to avoid suspicion. You then went to buy the meat to make sure that Y/N would believe you and then went home. It was raining that night, but not raining enough.”

Damn. He’s good.
“That’s a lie”, I lied, trying to sound as believable as possible. “I would never do anything to hurt Y/N! She’s actually the only human I like.”
I looked back at the screen that showed the footage from the security cameras. I looked at Y/N’s face, feeling sadness. What if they actually found out what happened? WHat if we got jailed? What if we never saw Y/N again? It stung in my heart and I could feel some tears burning in my eyes. I shut them to hide it, but the cop saw it too.
“Are you crying now, you weak little bitch?”
“I’m not weak”, I chuckled and looked at him darkly. “I’ve survived hundreds of heats without any painkillers or stress relievers and been mentally abused by people far worse than you: hybrid shelter owners. Beat that, dipshit.”

A new player who goes by the name, D0n, loads into the world of virtual reality for the first time in his life thanks to these promises. But what catches his attention isn’t the wild monsters, the in-depth quest lines, or the ability to perform superhuman feats — what draws D0n at first is a bit more… mundane. Sure he’ll put in the time to level up his character… just as soon as he can finish applying the last layer of paint on his new coffee table… and after he lands that triple backflip he’s been trying to do all day… not to mention the lady next door was talking about a new horned rabbit stew recipe she was working on… Sure a world of swords and magic in virtual reality means a whole slew of fantastical experiences you can’t get anywhere else, but it’s not like those are going anywhere. And virtual or not, D0n is determined to live out his reality with a pace and vision that suits him best. It’s just a shame that his habit of a personalized play style has some far reaching consequences even Golden Age’s dev team could have never predicted. New Chapters uploaded every Wednesday.

Naruto Retsuden: Toru
[SI/OC Third Shinobi War]Well fought and well done. All of us fight as one. It took me three years to be able to properly read the faded out kanji of the flimsy poster that I keep in my back pocket. The illustration is colourful, bright reds and yellows. Colours that would definitely catch the attention of a child. The poster was carefully placed along the walls and fences of my village, level with the height of a four year old. I thought enlisting to become a Shinobi was a heroic deed, something I needed to do to save my family from poverty and to serve my country at the cusp of war. Then I graduated early to be deployed to the front lines.I am sadly and sorely mistaken. Warnings:Slow-burnNO OP-NESSRomance? What romance? It'll take at least 40 chapters or more before anything romantic happens.Realistic depictions of War from a child's perspectiveBlood and goreChild SoldiersPTSDRealistic character developmentTragedy.
