《The Hybridz | TBZ✔》Chapter 26 | I Hate It

It was so empty that afternoon. It was so quiet. There was no bickering between Kevin and Eric, no laughing and no cuddling. Everywhere I went in the house, there was no life. It felt like a part of my soul was gone. My parents were dead, my hybrids were gone...what did I have left? I had no siblings and had not met my friends after I got my hybrids. My hybrids were my entire life.

I hate it.

I went upstairs to the bedrooms. I opened the door to the weaker hybrid’s room, looking around. They had made their rooms personal by now. You could tell who had which bed and who’s room it was. And now it was empty and dark in the house. I went into the others rooms and looked, but started crying. I wished they would come home again. I was so scared for their sake.

They must feel so scared.

I stood in the predator’s room and noticed that they had scattered their things around the room since they had been in here the entire morning. I wondered what they had done. I had not asked to join because I wanted them to have some alone time. I saw a hoodie hanging on the ladder to one of the bunkbeds. I felt slightly ashamed as I put that on, but I would have to explain that to the owner later. After doing that, I went to bed in my room and cried for as long as I could.

We sat in the police station, answering their idiotic questions. We were lying through it all. I could sense that the cop didn’t like us because he got really mad after a while.

“Stop fucking lying!” he shouted.

And here it started. I knew that if we weren’t hybrids, they would give us a chance to actually speak, but here they didn’t. Even though we were lying, it felt discriminatory. We were halfly humans. We had rights to speak. Suddenly I saw the officer hitting Kevin for rolling his eyes. I flew up to hurt him, but Haknyeon and Changmin held me back. Kevin growled, but managed to stay calm. I could see his eyes being darker than ever. We were eleven against one, but this was on police territory and there were cameras. If we did something to this officer, we would get stuck in jail. Or even put to sleep.

“Then let us talk”, I growled. “Stop cutting us off.”

“You should be very careful about what you say”, the officer said. “You’re just an animal.”

“We have human bodies. Just because we have animal features doesn’t mean that we’re more animal than human!”

He sighed in frustration and I couldn’t help but feel slight fear. This did not look bright for us.

I hate it.
