《The Hybridz | TBZ✔》Chapter 13 | ...soup?

I got woken up a while later. I had just started falling asleep.
“How are you, Y/N?” Juyeon asked and sat down on the side of my bed. “Feeling any better?”
“Not really”, I answered. “I should go and make some soup.”
“No!” He pushed me down into the bed again. He noticed that I got startled and laughed slightly. “Just...just lay down again. I’ll go do it.”
“None of you can’t cook.”
“I mean...how hard can it be? I just want you to rest as much as possible.”
“Okay, thank you, Juyeon.”

I smiled at her and then hurried out. My smile dropped immediately. I hated that we had to do this to Y/N. I was not going to make a soup that would help her get better...I would do the opposite.
“I fucking hate this”, I sighed as I got down into the kitchen. “She wants soup, what do we do?”
“...soup?” Chanhee asked dumbfounded.
“Absolutely not, smartass. We can’t make her better. Not so fast. She’ll go to work and we’ll be left home alone and I don’t like that. I can’t keep an eye on her.”
“Let’s just do something.”

After a while we had managed to make some bad soup that looked like dessert. It was boiled tea with fruit in it. None of us could cook so we had to improvise.
“I think it turned out pretty well, don’t you think?” I asked.
“Looks like piss, but I think it may be okay”, Kevin sighed and put his hands in his back pockets.
“I’ll go give her it.”
I went up to Y/N’s room and put the bowl on the little table beside her bed. I took her phone and put it away.

“I’ll feed you”, I smiled.
“You don’t have to”, Y/N said and sat up.
“But I want to.” I didn't mean to sound so demanding.
“Okay, then.”
I held the bowl in my lap as I filled the spoon and then put it against her lips. She parted her lips just enough so I could put the spoon in her mouth. I was a little nervous about what she was going to think about the soup. It wasn't made so she was going to feel better, but I didn’t want her to hate it.
“What do you think?”
“I like it...it’s not really food, but it was a great first try at cooking, Juyeon”, she smiled.
“Ah, thank you. Kevin and Chanhee helped me.”
“Chanhee? I’m happy you counted him in. He feels lonely.”
“I know, I know. Here, another spoonful.”
She opened her mouth a little more this time. I smiled and put the spoon in.
“I like taking care of you like this”, I said. “You are the one that usually takes care of us, but it’s nice having the tables flipped, don’t you think?”
“I’m scared you’re going to burn down my house without my supervision.”
“Then you should stay home instead of going to work.”
“I can’t work from home all the time.”
“Yes, you can. Let me talk to your boss and-”
“Juyeon. He won’t listen to a hybrid. You know that.”
I got filled with anger. Of course I kenw that this stupid jerk wouldn’t because hybrids weren’t as valued as people, but this was about Y/N’s health and safety!
