《The Hybridz | TBZ✔》Chapter 11 | God's Horrendous Plan

When they all got out of heat, I got my period. If God had a plan, he had planned it horrendously. I tried my best to not be mean to them, but moodiness appeared anyways. I was in pain and so were my poor hybrids. They were frightened by my small noises of discomfort and felt like they had to be careful around me to not piss me off. They had never been with a human when they got their period before.
"C-Can we do something for you, Y/N?" Jacob asked quietly, a weird expression on his face. His ears were down. "I don't like seeing you l-like this."
"Its okay, Jacob, it'll pass", I said as I curled into a ball on the couch.
"Y/N, not to be that person...b-but at the moment you ooze of a scent s-so intoxicating that we may not be able to resist", Sangyeon said and I could see how badly he tried to control himself. "We can get forced into a heat because of it."
"What should I do?" I asked quickly.
"Lock yourself in your room until the scent isn't as strong. It's the only certain thing to make sure that you're safe."
I nodded and hurried upstairs and into my room. I was afraid of how they would be on a forced heat...that would be harder to control...wouldn't it?

I had to go to work a few days later.
"No, please don't leave!" Jaehyun begged and ran after me to the front door.
"I have to. I'll be back later. It's only a few hours, Jaehyun, you'll survive!"
"You shouldn't go out alone", Younhoon said. "What if something happens?"
"I agree with the puppy", Juyeon chirped in.
"I'm not a puppy!"

"In my eyes you are. I don't see a difference between you and the poodle."
Younghoon went in for a choke-hold, but I stopped him.
"Don't kill each other while I'm gone."
"Y/N, come home as soon as you finish work, okay?" Eric said with furrowed brows.
"I will, I promise. I'll see you later, boys."
"Bye, Y/N…"
They seemed sad as I left and I felt bad for a moment. They were like normal pets, they needed attention...but I had to work too!
—♤—
After work was done, I had to walk home in the rain. Pouring rain. It was probably a full blown storm outside and I didn’t have a car. I had to walk for half an hour in this horrible weather. As soon as I opened the door, they all ran to meet me.
“Y/N!” they shouted and almost jumped on top of me to get a hug.
“Ouch, careful!” I shouted while laughing in discomfort. I had to change clothes. “Y-You’ll break my back!”
They backed with sad eyes.
"You're wet!" Eric said, stating the obvious. “No, correction, you’re soaked!”
"I-I know, it is raining and windy as hell out there."
“We missed you”, Jacob said. “Very much."
"I understand that, boys, but can you let me get inside before you hug me? I need to change clothes and get warm before I get sick."
They let me go up to my room and change into sweatpants and hoodie. I went downstairs to the living room again and Eric was quick to pull me into his embrace on the couch.
“God, you’re freezing, Y/N!” he exclaimed and brought me even closer. He held my face down into his neck and let me lay on his muscular body.
Pumas does have a lot of muscles.
Eric’s tail wrapped around my waist as his own hands were occupied. His left one was reaching for a blanket and the other held the back of my head down into his warm neck.
“Stop trembling, it’s okay”, he whispered.
Sunwoo came by and sat down on his knees beside the couch. He stroked my wet hair and sighed.
“You’ll be warm soon”, Eric whispered.

All stories must begin somewhere, this one starts with the creation of the universe. What follows is a tale of chaos and order, of gods and monsters, of creation and destruction. It is in that dangerous concoction of emotions that the god of monsters created the first dungeon core. Forged in a crucible of dedication and desire, the first core held potential, the likes of which could surpass even the civilised mortal races. Unfortunately it was not meant to be, the core was lost in a tragic accident and its creator thought it to have been destroyed. Over one-thousand years later, the core reformed inside an extinct volcano. In time it would grow enough to learn and learn enough to grow. This is the story of the first dungeon core. Crucible, the lost dungeon core. Note: Story updates every hiatus*. *I appologise for the delay.

But instead of safety, every step brings them closer to danger: sky pirates, cannibals, and a relentless soulless scourge unleashed by their enemy are all intent on killing Lian—or worse. Death, Aralt realizes, might be the greater mercy. ---------------------------------------------------------- What to Expect: Character-driven Plot Novel Pacing (which I accept isn't typical for serials) Elaborate Worldbuilding (you gotta pay attention) Soul-bonded Swords Sentient Wolves Longish Chapters What Not to Expect: Litrpg (sorry!) Harem (not sorry!) Magic System Short Chapters Dancing Bears (at least so far) Seriously, this is a second-world low fantasy/science-fantasy featuring a strong, but flawed male protagonist, a cheeky teenage boy that’s driving him crazy, a wee bit o’ Scots flavor, and a whole lot of culture clashing. I’m preparing to relaunch this story on Kindle once the second and third books are ready and I’d love some feedback as I move through those revisions. I'm serious about the feedback. All comments are welcome. I'll name a characters after you. And kill them, if you want. :) Oh, did I mention soulless assassins and cannibals? Yeah, Aralt’s day is not getting any better. cover image by brosedesignz
