Dirty. Filthy. Used. Disgusting. Are all words that can be used to describe me. I'm so emotionally hurt right now, I can't imagine how Alek is feeling. I know he felt the pain of his mate kissing someone else.
Rick said Alek would be here soon. I hope so. I need him to save me. I don't want to have to go through that again.
Rick was right. I'm pitiful. A Luna. Barely even fight left in me. The only reason I'm holding on to any type of hope is because I know Alek is on his way.
I wonder if Alek would even still want me. Maybe he thinks I purposely kissed someone else.
Marley? Marley is that you?
Alek? Oh my gosh Alek!
Alek! Yes it's me!
I can hear your thoughts again. Don't worry, I know what he did to you. You're not to blame yourself . Of course I still want you. I'm coming to get you, okay?
I nodded my head, but realized he couldn't see me. "Okay... I love you muffin."
"I love you more baby. Stay strong, I'm coming."
Just hearing Alek's voice telling me those reassuring words made me feel so much better. I know it's bad to hurt people, but when Alek gets here, I hope he beats the hell out of Rick.

Upon his return, the kin-slaying prince has found that some things have changed during his absence. Iskra, his first wife and love of his life, has proclaimed that she no longer cares about the events that have been unfolding in her former homeland for the last several years and states that she is solely focused on raising her children. Yet it is through learning that the High Elves have taken a keen interest in the once magically-absent lands of Ranislava that Aurelius decides that action must be taken and thus he journeys south to learn more about what his distant kin are up to in such a backwater region of the world. Who he will meet and what he will do will turn the tides of fate, but in whose favor is something that only the Gods will know. (The Eight Years arc is something that was designed to be written in a way where people don't have to feel the need to go back to the very beginning of the Dark Lands story in order to know what is going on or who the characters are.)

As for the setting, the story starts in XXI century, which technology-wise isn't much different from what we have now, but it is enhanced by magic associated with Talents. This allowed the humankind to colonize the solar system, but the technology that allows for interstellar travel doesn't exist (yet). Because it’s my first attempt at LitRPG, please be forgiving but constructive.
