《Second chance mates with the KING》Blake Last Part
Advertisement
Six days later I sit my family down to tell them the news. They were surprised. My mom more than anything.
I found out from Blake, my mate, that he was the wolf 40 years ago who was shamed by the King. Shamed wolves can't come in contact with regular wolves because they will attack on sight. They still wanted to meet him.
So I proposed a cell phone. It worked out. We had Blake on speaker and he told his story just the other day. After wards I excepted to feel upset or angry but I couldn't feel anything but sympathy.
"So Blake. Why should I trust you with my sister?" I heard the resistance in Chance's voice. He came over to pull me in his arms and I let him. I would rather be outside with my mate but they wanted me here with them.
"She is my mate. I never thought the Goddess would forgive me. If she still wants me after this I will have her."
"So how did this happen to you?" My father asked this question.
I hear Blake sigh. "It somewhat of a long story."
"We have all day." Chance replied.
With another sigh he begins his tale.

"I was born a regular wolf. My parents were warriors so I would become one too. I'm not sure where my obsession came from but I just remember one day waking up wanting more. More power. More status. I use to watch the Alpha and the Beta at work. I studied them wondering how I could be like them. I knew being an Alpha was to far of a reach for me but a Beta? I could do that."
I sigh as I look into the pond in front of me. Being at the clearing is the safest distance I can be from my mate. The memories are flooding back of the person I use to be.
"After years of studying and watching I realized I would not be able to move up in my old pack. So under the role of finding my mate I set off to different packs. Trying to find the right one. I soon arrive at the DarkMoon pack. There I find the old Beta who needed to retire only had one child. A daughter. Who had not found her mate at age 22." I pause and look to the sky hoping that this won't back fire on me. Confessing.

"I at the time was so obsessed that I did the unthinkable. I courted her. Told her I loved her and mated with her."
I hear a collection of female gasps which belong to my mate and her mother. Growls of males which I am sure are my mate's brother and father.
"I'm not proud of what I did. I never will be but in my actions something good came."
"What could have been good from that?" Her mother's harsh reply was expected.
"My fated mate I met a few weeks after. She was the Alpha's daughter." I chuckle at the irony now. "I rejected her." Again the gasp followed by the growls. "She ran. Went rouge. I didn't hear about her for three years till her brother, the Alpha now, announced that his sister was safe and in the castle."
Getting up and waking around as I hold the phone to my ear. Remembering it like it was yesterday my first visit to the castle and my last until now.
"I took Lily with me. We left immediately after I heard what Keith, the Alpha, said. I will not lie and say I didn't worry about my fated mate. I realized my actions were not best too late. But me being the confused boy I was did not listen." I take a deep breath in and out.
"When we arrived she looks so different the blood dripping from her surprised me. Lily I know felt upset with me and I didn't want to upset her anymore than she already was."
"Why would she be upset? Did she know you rejected your mate?" The brother, Chance asked.
"She found out later. Around the same time she found out she was pregnant." The gasp this time came from my mate. "I can't say I regret the child. I mostly regret what I put Lily though. I don't even know the name of the child. If it is a boy or girl." I pull the phone away from my mouth so they wouldn't hear. I take a moment to collect myself. Pressing my fingers to the bridge of my nose.
I clear my throat. "I'm sorry. Anyway we we arrived at castle and greet my mate she says the Royal Beta will arrive. Lily get antsy and wanted to leave. I did not know why at the time but soon found out when the Royal Beta came charging in asking why I had my hands on his mate."

"Oh man." I chuckle at Chance.
"Oh man indeed. Not only did we almost duel I got rejected over night. My arrogance was not my friend come day when it came to dinner not only was I late but I disrespected the King."
"Wait." I pause.
"So your saying that your fated mate is..?"
"Yes Chance my once fated mate is the Queen."
Silence.
That's is all I hear.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
"Open the gates." The guard says from outside our car.
My family couldn't come because no matter what they felt about Blake their wolves would still attack on sight. The Royal would not because they are expecting us I'm sure.
Blake pulls into the castle grounds. We haven't really talked this whole ride here and I haven't made an effort to.
I don't know how to feel about his story. On one hand I believe he learned his lesson and on the other who says he won't do it again? This was my thought process the ride up here. Now that we have arrived I still don't know the answer.
We park and get out the car getting directed to the throne room. There in the throne was the King and Queen to the side of the King was the Royal Beta I'm sure. By the way he glared at my mate I believe it was the right guess.
When we entered I bowed and was told to lift my head but Blake he didn't kneel. He dropped to the floor on his knees exposing his neck completely and don't rise. Resting his chest on the ground with his hands supporting his weight.
"Your majesties, I, Blake Walter Collins, bow before you in deep submission to beg for you forgiveness. I am not the boy I was 40 years ago and will never be. I was arrogant, foolish and confused on what I wanted. I hurt those I should not but in a way I am glad I made those choices."
All this time they did not speak as Blake apologized in the most unprideful way possible which is hard on a wolf. The King had his face rested on his chin and the Queen sat composed a smile on her lips.
"Why?" The word was spoken by the King.
"If not for my actions this would not have happened. So I regret the hurt I caused and why I did it but the results I do not."
The King just hums. "You may rise." With a wave of his hand Blake's shoulder sag with relief like a weight was lifted off him.
"The only thing I can say I regret is not knowing the child." He says as he lifts his head. From my angle from the side of the room I see he is crying. "I don't even know the name."
"Sunny lives up to her name in brightening the castle." This time the Queen spoke. "If you wish to see her you would have to ask her parents." At that the Queen looks at the Royal Beta. "Parker?"
He doesn't speak but his eyes zone out like how my parents do when they mind link someone. A few minutes later a giggle is heard down the steps.
A woman and a little girl come in through the doors. The little girl is a copy of the woman behind her expect for her eyes which are the same shade of gold as the man kneeling on the floor.
"Sunny. I want you to meet someone okay?" The woman says.
The little girl nods. Blake who heard their voices wipes his eyes and slowly turns around. He has yet to get up.
They walk over to where he is kneeling stoping a few feet away. Blake doesn't move or speak he just watches her.
"Sunny what do you say when you meet new people?" The woman questions.
Little sunny lets go of her moms hand and walks over to Blake. Holding out her hand she says, "Hello. I'm Sunshine but you can call me Sunny. What's your name?" He voice sound so cute. Like all her first letters are replaced with 'W's. All except her name.
He reaches out and shakes her hand with his. "My name is Blake." He smiles. "It's nice to met you. Um... Could I trouble you for a hug?"
She looks back at her mom and she nods. Then Sunny opens up her arms and Blake pulls her in. I hear sobs.
"Don't cry Blakey. It's okay." The little girl says as she pets her biological fathers head.
And I believe I can forgive him too.
