《Second chance mates with the KING》11.

The next morning I wake up to the sound of the elevator.
"Parker. Can't we do this another time? What if they are sleep?" Lily whisper/yells at Parker.
"Mate. Trust me. They are up. If not the King has most definitely heard us."
I look over to see that Parker was right and my mate is indeed up and watching the door with a smile.
"Lily. It is custom to greet the royal family once mated. Every new mated couple must."
Her voice gets lower. "But why right after we...mate?"
I hold back a giggle. I feel Enquire's hand tracing the path of my spine. I never put back on my bra or underwear last night. My mate isn't any better. But he looks heavenly with just our black sheet draped over my favorite part.
"Yes, Flower."
"But Parker! We can't jus-" She get cut off, I'm bet by our content Beta.
"Are you done, Flower?"
I hear her blush more than see it. Their foot steps continue to the door. There is a knock.
"Yes Parker." My mate answers in the beautiful husky voice of his.
"Sire-"
"Parker. It is...-" He looks at the clock. "Six Forty-five in the morning. It is far to early for titles." I giggle this time.
"Yes I apologize. May I open the door, Sir Ivan?"
He looks at me. I guess he wants my okay. Well it is just Lily and Parker. Go a head.
"Yes, Parker. You may." Parker opens the door after that. He is looking straight at the back wall and covering Lily's eyes. I laugh a little harder. This is why Parker is the Beta.
"Good morning your majesties." He bows lightly. "We are here to greet you as your Royal Beta Couple."
"I figured so Parker." My mate rolls his eyes.
"Yes well we have to look at your eyes for this, Sire." Enrique huffs.
"Fine." Parker closes his eyes as Enrique gets off the bed and tosses me one of his shirts as I slip it on he puts on a pair of silk pajama pants.
Parker opens his eyes and removes his hands from Lily's. He grabs her hand and pulls her down to kneel with him.

I stand next to Enrique.
Parker exposes his freshly made mark and Lily sees and does the same. "I, Parker Brandon Rose, am proud to greet the Royal couple with my mate." He pauses and I think Lily catches on.
"Lithe Ann mae Rose." She blushes as she says the last part.
I feel Enrique's hand at my back. He pulls me close and I feel the warmth of his bare chest. "Do you except all the challenges you will face as Beta and Beta female?"
"Yes, Your Highness." The say together.
"Good you may raise. That's all. Now get out!" He yell playfully as he flops back on the bed. I shake my head at him. "Congrats Parker. You have found your soul." He looks at me and smiles.
"Thank you, My Queen." He looks at Lily with so much love and passion I think I might explode.
"Great. Now leave before you will be having twins!" Parker laughs at Enrique while Lily looks mortified.
I close the door as they walk back to the elevator. I turn to my mate who is now sitting up in the bed.
"Now that you are up I need to put you back to sleep."
I raise a brow at him. "Really now?"
"Yes. Let me love you back to sleep." He holds out his hand for me with a heated look in his eyes.
"Well you better get to it."

A few hours later I wake again to the smell of bacon. I hop out of bed and head to the shower. In case you don't know I really love bacon.
Like bacon over everything. Mostly.
After the shower I go out to the vanity forgetting my towel. I was hotter than normal for some reason. I sit in my chair and lotion up. I grab the leave in and curl cream for my hair apply it and let it air dry.
I put on a pair of exercise shorts that barely cover my ass and a red sports bra. I toss on a white tank top and walk out to the kitchen area of are floor.
"There you are. I was afraid you were goi-" He stops talking as his eyes pop out. His eyes go dark and he almost drops my bacon.

"You better not drop my "
His eyebrows raise. "Why so feisty, little mate?"
I feel my eye twitch. "Do not call me "
He turns his head to the side. He puts the pan of bacon on a plate and slides it in my direction. He places the pan in the sink and watches me devour the bacon be for he can sit down.
"Pequeña?" I freeze and let out a growl.
He turns his head to the other side. The smell of bacon is slowly clearing and he takes a big whiff of the kitchen. His eyes widen and he gives me one of his heartbreaking smiles.
"Pequeña?" I growl at him and stand up.
He just chuckles and runs his fingers through his hair.
"I believe you won the bet."
It takes me a minute to realize what he said. I look down at my stomach and place my hands on it.
"I'm gonna...-" I start crying and soon I feel Enrique's arms around me. "I'm gonna be....be.." I can't even say the words. I knew it would happen but I've waited so long.
He gets down in front of me and grabs my hands. "Pequeña? Thank you."
I blink away a few tears to realize that my beautiful King is crying too.
"I love you."
"And I you, little one. And I you."
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
"Come Flower. Let me feed you." I hold out my hand to her and she takes it. I pull her up from the couch in our front living area to the door.
Once we exit to the hall we head to the elevator. I only have a wing on the fourth floor. While the King has the whole fifth floor. I do have a kitchen but I want Lily to know where things are.
Now that she will be living here and we can age together I will gladly do anything for her.
"Parker? Why can't we eat in here?" She ask me with a cute little frown on her face. "I want to show you our home." Her face just lights up.
"Okay." Her voice gets small and she is so shy but I love that about her.
As I hold her close and we get off the elevator and walk to the kitchen. I see Joyce coming out of it with a few of the ladies that help in the kitchen.
"Sir Parker." Joyce bows to me and glances at Lily. I smile at her questioning gaze and she lets out a happy sequel. "Sir Parker! I am so happy for you!"
She then does something I expect and pulls me in for a hug. She lets me go and turns to a confused Lily. "Madam Beta." She bows deeply for it is the first greeting. "I am Joyce the head maid of the castle and if you need anything I will be there to help always."
Lily smiles. "Thank you." I bump her shoulder and she looks at me. I move my hand upwards and she nods. "Um. You may raise..?" Even though she sounded unsure Joyce raises anyway.
"Don't worry it gets better." She gives her a little pat on the shoulder.
"And Sir Parker."
"Yes Joyce." She turns and shows the three girls behind her.
"These are the new kitchen staff and maid to the fourth wing." I look over them. The fourth wing is my home and that means she will be there at least once a week. So I should get familiar with her scent.
"The staff. Shiloh and Irene. And this is the maid for your wing, Samantha." The kitchen staff girl looks just like our new maid. Joyce must have read the look on my face because she answered my unspoken question.
"Shiloh and Samantha are twin wolves."
I nod and dismiss them.
Twin wolves are rare. Yes we do have litters at times but there are rarely any twins. This means they share one soul. And also one mate. It usually doesn't work out because wolves are possessive and the twins are usually male.
But these two are female. As the walk away the twins talk in hushed tones. "Will we be okay? We don't separate." I believe Samantha said this. "We will be fine. We are in the same place."
I tune them out as I walk with my mate into the kitchen.

Tower of Somnus
When humanity first encountered alien life, we were judged and found wanting. The Galactic Consensus interviewed our leaders and subjected us to a battery of psychological tests to determine our progress as a society. They found us to be selfish, wasteful, impulsive, and boorish neighbors. Earth was blockaded and our collective encounter with our extrasolar neighbors rapidly faded from memory. All they left behind was a hypercomm relay and a handful of subscriptions to a massively multiplayer game that participants played in their sleep. The Consensus said that it would let us interact with our neighbors in a controlled setting. That it would teach us to be better members of the galactic community. The megacorporations that controlled Earth ignored the game until they learned that the powers earned from clearing dungeons were just as real when day broke. Magic, supernatural abilities and rumors exploded from nothing and a subscription to The Tower of Somnus became a status symbol. Katherine ‘Kat’ Debs doesn’t have much, but it could be worse. Born in an arcology, she was assigned a job in the megacorporation that raised her almost as soon as she could work. Despite the stability of her corporate life, she wanted something more. He slowly backs up until his back is against the wall like my own, "You're..my neighbor?" He points to my door and I nod my head quickly. He hums softly, "You been here a while?" He asks and I nod my head once again. He chuckles, "Ya head hurt?" I nod again but stop as he laughs softly, "I-I mean.. no.. it doesn't." My cheeks burn red as I look at my shoes, "I-It doesn't hurt.." I repeat like a dummy and listen to him clear his throat, "So do you actually live there or was it bull?" He nods to my door and I play with my fingers, "Yeah.. I do.." I feel his eyes watch me and I quickly stop. "You live with your boyfriend or do you like sweatshirts that reach your knees?" He teased, making a giggle slip past my lips. I look away to the floor again, "I-I like big shirts... a lot." I mumble softly and he nods his head, "Hol' up." He puts his box down before walking over to one of the grey bins. I nosily watch as he pulls out a big grey sweatshirt, "Here." He holds it out for me to take and I stare at him with wide eyes, "F-For me?" I hesitantly grab the soft fabric as he chuckles, "Nah for ya mom." I puff my cheeks a little and give him a small glare, "Hush." He leans back against the wall and shakes his head, "It's cold out.
