I walk around the downstairs area the next morning to explore. After the conversation with Edna last night I went to bed. Of course Enrique followed me. He wanted to make sure I wasn't upset and of course he decided to stay with me.

I have never been more happy in my life. I also realize that I should call Keith. As I walk into the kitchen I pull out my phone.

"Hello little one."

"Keith." I say with a smile. He and Enrique are too tall.

"So are you ready for your leave?" He is coming in five days and he has too prep his Gamma for his departure.

"Yes for now. I just wish I was leaving Matthew here with Derek also."

Matthew is who will be Beta when his training is done in two more months.

"Yes. How is he anyway?"

"Fine. He can't wait to knock Blake on his ass." He chuckles. Good thing for Matt. Blake will deserve it.

"Anyway I do have something to tell you about, Blake." My brother's voice gets serious all of a sudden. "Let me guess, he realized what he's done, knows he can't fix it so he is going to start problems." He will never learn that I was never his.

"Yeah. Most of that's right."

"Keith. What else is there?" He better not.

"He might also be coming up a day early."

"WHAT?!"

"Ouch! My ear!"

"Your ear my ass. You better not send him up here. One problem and Matt will get his job early."

"Look I didn't want to but he kinda snuck away with Lily after I announced it."

"Fine. I don't blame you. It's a two days trip by wolf form. What about Lily? Her wolf is weak."

"Yeah they are in a car. Um she is...kinda..."

"What? She is what? Is she dying?"

I pause. Pup. I wanted children since my first shift. That's all I talked about with my brother. I would have had beautiful pups. Blake or no Blake. It is all his fault I couldn't have children when I wanted.

"She is? Well congrats to your temporary Beta."

"Ken. You sure your okay with it?"

I think for a second. Am I okay with this? How things turned out? I smile to myself.

"Yes. I am fine. I might not have gotten pups when I wanted but I will get them. Soon."

"Ew. Too much info."

"Haha. Okay brother. I will see you Friday."

"Yeah yeah. Bet you be pregnant by next week."

"Oh brother haven't you learned from the last time? You know not to make bets with me."

"You cheated last time!"

"Right I won't tell anyone how you lost. I promised."

"Whatever. I am winning this time."

"When you get here make sure you have your wallet. 50?"

"50."

"Bye brother."

"See ya."

I hang up the phone and hear laughter. I turn to see Enquire leaning on the wall of the kitchen.

"Enquire. It's best if you not laugh at me." I say in a mock stern voice.

"Oh? And why is that, Pequeña?"

I felt my eye twitch. He knows I don't like being called little.

"Watch it. If I want to win the bet I do need you."

He puts his hand to his chest. He gasp. "And I thought you loved me!" He stomps his foot like a little girl.

"I do but not if you do that."

He rush to me and picks me up. I wrap my legs around him. He breaths in my scent. "You do?" He looks up at me. He seems so innocent at this moment. "Yes I do."

And there is that smile I love so much.

She is perfect. I could ask for a better mate. I will always remember Evangeline and care for her but my love is with Kendall.

I am in my office going over the paper work for Blake. If he was coming at the scheduled time I could be checking out the training progress. But no I am here going over paper work for my cousin.

I would just kill him and get it over with but Auntie Marie will be upset. As I sign the last page and take out my seal, I hear a knock on the door.

"What is it Edna?"

She opens the door and comes in. She lowers herself to the ground, one knee down. Everyone must kneel before the Royal family but bow to anyone else in the royal line. I can tell her to raise her head but I want her out as quick as possible.

"Sire. Kendall Smith is out with the Royal Beta."

"This I know."

"Yes but she is laughing and joking with him. It is most improper."

"So my Queen is not allowed to laugh?"

"No, Sire. That is not what I meant."

I get up from my desk. And stand over her. She almost raises her head but her wolf stops her. "Then what are you implying about my Mate?"

"No...thing.....Sire. I will take my leave."

"You will." She leave with her head turned down, my wolf is getting agitated he will not tolerate disrespect of his Queen. He is one step away from ending Edna.

Baby? Are you okay?

I smile at my mates voice.

Yes. I am fine. Where are you?

With Parker checking over the training until you are done.

I cut off the link and make my way outside. I walk though the kitchen and see the back exit. With an apple from the fruit bowl, I go to check on my warriors in training.

"Their human execution is sloppy. If they are this terrible in human form wolf form would be no better."

"Yes but they are newly shifted pups."

"How long have they been training?"

"About five months, My Queen."

"Five months with no improvement? This is terrible. Who is in charge of their training?"

"The Gamma. But he is way with his mate. She had compilations with her first pregnancy."

"Oh why?"

"She is human."

"Yes I'm glad he did. Where is your mate Parker?"

"I don't know. She has yet to show, My Queen."

"Awe. Did you go search for her?"

"Yes. I go every year for three months. I leave for this year on next month."

"Well I hope you fine her. If anyone deserves their soul it's you."

"Yes he does." We both turn around to Enquire's voice. He smiles and wraps his arms around me. "Hello baby."

"Amor." He breaths in my scent and I float in his arms. He lifts me up and places me back on the ground. His hands never leaving my body. He turns to Parker.

"Parker. How are they?"

"Terrible, Sire." I couldn't hold back my giggle.

"Terrible?" You can here the humor in his voice as Parker answers.

"Yes. The Lady Queen says so."

"Oh did she now?" He turns his head to me and raises a brow.

"And what is so funny?" He asks me still smiling.

"Nothing. Whip these pups into shape, Your highness." I get closer to his ear, "I will be waiting in our bed." He lets out a low growl at this and turns me in the direction of the back door.

"Go wait like a good girl then." He lets out low and sensual. He smacks my ass as I walk past him and I let out a Yelp.

I head to the room with a smile as I here my King command the little pups to stop.
