《Her Siren (A Jane Volturi love story)》Part 22

*Melanie's POV*

It's been two days since I left Volterra. Two days since I left Jane. And I was missing her dearly. It's like I'm lost without her, which was weird because I am usually a very independent person.

I was currently sitting on my bed, listening to some music while studying, even though it was hard to focus. Jane would be here by tomorrow and I just couldn't wait.

As I finished studying I heard a knock on my door. I jumped up and immediately rushed to it only to see with was David. I visibly frowned, walking back to my bed. He just laughed. "Thought I was someone else?"

I rolled my eyes and flipped him off.

"Awww, does someone miss their little girlfriend?" He teased, making me roll my eyes again.

"Well fuck me with a chainsaw for missing my mate." I said, looking at him.

"Ok then, I'll go get the-."

"Not literally you idiot!" I said, throwing a pillow at him but he caught it.

He chuckled and threw it back at me. "Listen, we're going hunting now. Are you coming?"

"Yeah, I'll be down there in a minute." I said, putting away my stuff.

He nodded and got off my bed. As he was walking through the door I threw another pillow at him but of course, one of his dumb shadows caught it.

I sighed a bit and got up, rushing down the stairs, passing him in the process. "Ha! I win!"

"Yeah, only because I didn't use my vampire speed." He said, pushing me playfully.

"I still won though." I said, shrugging. He rolled his eyes and picked me up, throwing me over his shoulder, and carried me to the forest against my will.

*Jane's POV*

I was currently packing for tomorrow. God, I get to see Melanie tomorrow. I was just to excited. And maybe I could convince her to join the Volturi as well! Who knows, she might changer her mind. It's possible.

As I continued packing, Alec came in the room. "Sister." He greeted.

"Brother." I said, looking at him. "What is it?"

"Are you sure you want to travel alone? I could come with you." He offered.

I smiled slightly, and not my psychotic smile either. This smile was reserved for two people and two people only, my brother for obvious reasons and of course Melanie since she is my mate. "I am fine. But if something does happen I will contact you immediately." I said, going back to packing.

It was silent for a while before he spoke again. "You really do love her, don't you?"

"I do." It was silent again.

We then heard a knock on my door. "Enter." I said in a monotone voice. I turned to see it was Valentina. She had replaced Gianna who had, well, died. "What is it?" I asked, face stone cold.

"Heidi is going to fetch humans. She should be back shortly miss." I nodded.

"You may leave now." I said sternly. She nodded and immediately closed the door. I smirked at her fear. It was quite amusing to see her afraid.

"Are you coming?" Alec asked, opening the door. I nodded and we rushed out of there, heading to the throne room.

When we got there, Heidi had just brought in humans and we immediately attacked after the door was closed. Their screams and feeble attempts to escape were hilarious. Like they could escape anyways.
