*Melanie's POV*

"It all started on May 20th, 1814." I began. "My brother and I lived in a small town. It was during the War of 1812 so nobody really went out of their houses, afraid that British Troops were lurking in the forest. David was an American Troop in the war. One day, my father and mother had gotten a letter. It said that he was MIA. I was so heartbroken when I heard the news that I ran into the forest. As I was running, I hadn't noticed that I had stumbled upon a British camp until I saw a man in a red coat, holding a gun at me. I begged him not to shoot but of course he did. He shot me in the rib cage and I was losing so much blood. I then heard him scream, like something was attacking him. I then felt this stinging sensation in my body. It felt like a thousand wasps were stinging me. It eventually faded though. After three days, I woke up in a cabin. I was alone until a gentleman entered my room. He explained everything. At first, I was in denial but as soon as I had my first sip of blood, I knew it was true. I learned that my brother wasn't MIA, he was actually shot during a battle and the gentleman that explained everything to me bit him. David also attacked that soldier, which was not cool. Carlisle saved both of us. We could never be more grateful. Time passed and we eventually separated from Carlisle and made our own coven. We soon met the lovely Clarisse and David was immediately smitten with her." David blushed a bit and Clarisse kissed his cheek. I smiled at them, they really were perfectly matched. "Years passed and somewhere around 1950, Josie became a part of our family after David saved her after getting jumped by racist pricks. We immediately became close. And that's pretty much the whole story. Any questions?"

They stayed silent. I got up and stretched a bit. "Good, now I'm gonna go eat. Goodbye my fellow bloodsuckers." I then sped out of there, heading to the forest.
