Princess pulls you aside, away from Carol and everyone else.

Princess: "y/n that was freaking lit but what even happened?"

y/n: "I think he abuses Carol." you say honestly.

I mean think about it. He controls her by the looks of it and is not to mention, a complete asshole. He deserved what he got. I just hope Sophia isn't scared of me now.

Princess: "Wait for real?" she looks at you as you look to the floor.

y/n: "Yeah. I think i need to-"

Princess: "Should i tell Maggie? Maybe she's good at these things you know?" she says before putting a hand on your right shoulder.

The sun was blinding and my head was pounding.

Princess: "Hey you know what y/n we could be that like ... badass duo y'know?" she says excitingly whilst shaking my shoulder back and forth.

y/n: "Sounds good. Is there any sh- shade?"

Princess: "Shade? Sure sure i gotchu! Oh btw have you still got my sub?" she circles you looking for the gun.

y/n: "Wh-what?" my head was spinning.

Princess: "Wait ... it's not here. Y/n, where did you place it? she asks in a worried voice.

Then it clicked. My head was pounding but it didn't stop me from working it out. I dropped the gun near that guy. THE DANGEROUS ONE.

You turn to look in his direction and you see:

It was He looked so pretty. But that wasn't the point. My eyes were starting to roll to the side. Sweat was dripping off of my head. Why the heck am i feeling so shitty? Maybe it was that punch. Or the fall to the ground. I mean ... that man does way a ton. Asshole.

You feel yourself falling to the ground as you watch My eyes close and the only thing i could think of was if he's going to be okay. Why does he hold this ... thing ... against me? I've never even spoken to h- ... oh stop y/n. You've known the man for ... less than a day ... oh god.

I wake up. My eyes widen as i'm laying on a blow up bed staring at the top of a tent. I haven't slept on a comfy surface like this in days upon days. This was great. But where even am i?

My curiosity kills as i step out of the tent. No one in sight. It was day time, did i sleep all of that time? I guess i needed it. My stomach growled at me. Food. That's my mission right now.

I walk further into the camp and see an unfamiliar face, standing right in front of the red car i used.

Man: "Well howdy! You must be one of the new recruits." he says whilst staring at me.

y/n: "Oh ... yeah. That's me hah." you say awkwardly.

Man: "Ma names Shane, what's yours huh?"

y/n: "y/n."

Shane: "Well ... welcome y/n. It may not be much but ... it's something." he says and smiles.

The view was beautiful. The lake was a brightening blue. It was breathtaking. I'm surprised such a beautiful sight is actually still alive and present.

Then it hit me. What happened yesterday?!

Shane: "So'd ya wanna head down and do some ... fishing maybe or sum?" he asks hesitantly.

You look at him.

Shane: "Sorry for sounding so forward. It's just ... a pretty person like you just makes me wanna get to know ya more." he chuckles and looks away.

y/n: "I'd love to help you fish. But ... there's something else on my mind."

He looks at you and widens his eyes. Oh god. I hope he doesn't think i wanna-

Shane: "Damn you really wanna get to business huh? I'm down bab-" whilst lifting his shirt almost off.

y/n: "Is Rick okay?" you blurt out interrupting him.

Shane realises and pulls his shirt down.

Shane: "R- Rick? Oh ... yeah i uh ... he's fine." he embarrassingly says.

y/n: "Do you know where i can find him? I need to ... uh ... thank him! ... for yesterday."

Shane: "Thank him for what?"

y/n: "Well ..."

Shane: "Waaaaait ... were you that crazy bitch who beat up Ed yesterday?" he smiles and says laughing.

Who is Ed? Was he the guy that i-

Maggie: "y/n!! You're awake!!" she comes behind you and hugs you.

y/n: "Hey mags." You hug her back tightly.

Maggie: "Princess is down at the lake with the kids, wanna come with?" she stares at you trying to get you away from Shane.

y/n: "Of course." you turn around at Shane and say: "Maybe another time Shane? Thanks for the offer though." you smile.

Shane looks at you and waves. He looked ... pissed. I did get second hand embarrassment though. I laugh in my head at the thought of him.

Maggie drags you along before handing you a bottle of water. You quickly open it and stop to drink. I never realised how thirsty i could get until this day.

Maggie: "Well that was ... awkward." she giggles.

y/n: "Yeah ... thanks by the way." you laugh and smile back.

Maggie: "He looked mad though. Did you do somethin?" she looks and questions.

y/n: "I mean i ... he got the wrong idea." you turn away and say before laughing.

Maggie: "What?!" she laughs out loud and exclaims.

You both continue to talk whilst making your way down to the lake. Oh it was a sight. A beautiful one.

You both arrive and see some new faces.

Maggie: "y/n, you didn't get to officially meet but this is Andrea and Amy."

Andrea: "Nice to meet you y/n." she smiles.

y/n: "It's nice to meet you both too." you smile back.

Amy: "I totally respect you for beating the shit out of Ed." she whispers and laughs.

Andrea: "Yeah, he deserved it." they both look behind them to see Ed sitting on a chair examining the lake with his beaten face.

I saw Carol close to him with Sophia not too far infront of them. Maybe i should give them both time. She doesn't know what i know. I know that he beats her. It makes sense with her short hair. Believe me ... i know.

Amy: "Have you met Carl and Rick yet?"

y/n: "Kinda i gu-"

Amy: "Hey Carl! Come over here!"

The little boy quickly hurries over to Aimee and stops to examine my face. He had roast red cheeks with dark hair. His eyes were just like his fathers, blue and piercing.

Carl: "Hi ma'am."

You bend down on one knee so that you meet almost eye level and say: "Hey Carl. I'm y/n."

Carl: "I like your hair." he walks over to touch it whilst looking at you in the eyes. He was adorable.

Rick: "Ladies." he nodded at everyone, except me.

Amy, Maggie and Andrea all make their way to the lake.

Andrea: "Meet us over here late y/n. You should freshen up first." she winks and laughs to Maggie and Amy.

Carl: "You're really pretty y/n." he says one last time.

Rick laughs at Carl and tells him to follow Andrea and the others.

You get up from the floor and meet eyes with Rick.

y/n: "I just wanted to say ... thankyou."

Rick: "For what?" he asks.

y/n: "For stopping me."

Rick: "You did the job for me if anything." he says.

y/n: "Walk with me."

Rick follows you. He admires your confidence in your conversation.

y/n: "Anything else i need to ... know about around here then?" you say.

Rick: " ... well ... i thought you were gonna get kicked out yesterday. And by the looks of it, Ed completely hates your ass." he laughs.

You both turn around to look at Ed in the distance who is already looking at you both.

Your laugh and Ricks tune in together as you both chuckle whilst making eye contact.

y/n: "Well i better go and ... change." you say whilst looking at your clothes.

Rick: "Best do." he says whilst smiling at you.

You both hold eye contact before you let go and travel back to camp. You can feel his eyes watching you as you walk away. You turn your head around to see him and he blushes and begins to walk the opposite direction. Continuing to walk, i smile the whole way to the tent i slept in. Now to look for some clothes.
