*Unedited *
I got up with the severe headache. I always get this when I cry before going to sleep. I think I should take some pills.
"Aimen, you really proved me wrong" Rehan came into room. A small sight of him brought a smile on my face.
"What?" I asked.
"Till this day I thought I'm the only one who can sleep this long but you broke my record" He said grinning ear to ear.
I looked down with embarrassment, with cheeks taking up colour. Did I really sleep that long? "I didn't sleep last night" I said in my defense.
"I know" He said.
"Can you give me the medicine, my head is paining?" Immediately his face fell.
"Are you alright? Do I need to call the doctor?" He checked my forehead for temperature.
"Rehan its just a headache. I'm fine" I said swatting his hand away.
"I'll get medicine" He disappeared. His caring act and his talk made me to smile. It means he forgave me. He gave me a chance. It showed his love for me. I can't love him back like this but I'm ready to give him chance.
He came back with a glass of water and handed me the med along with it. "Come eat something, you haven't eaten anything from yesterday"
"I'll go to the bathroom first" I stood up after gulping down the pill.
"Aimen, you can't avoid food like this" He stopped me by grabbing my wrist. After our encounter with Imran, I had abandon the food saying every lame excuses I came up with. But now I'm really, really...really hungry.
"Ya Allah! Rehan, I'm just going to bathroom"
"Fine, I give you 10 minutes, if don't you come , I'll surely drag you out"
"Yes boss!" I mock a salute. He laughed and planted a kiss on my cheek.

I walk into the bathroom still feeling his lips on me. I hurriedly did all the chores and came out. My head was still exploding. I found Rehan in the small living room which was attached to our bedroom.
"Hey!" I sat next to him.
"Here's your food. Eat it fully" he pointed to the table with a serious look.
"Okay!" I placed the plate on my lap. "Need a bite?" I asked. He shook his head. I ate it like a caveman. He was looking at his phone.
"Where are we going today?" I asked.
"Since its evening and you are not feeling well, we will spend sometime here and will go out for dinner. Are you okay with it?" he asked.
"Perfect!" I said.
"Rehan, did you forgive me?" I asked biting my lips. I want to be sure of it.
"Yeah!" He said with a short nod. There was a awkward silence between us.
"Do you get those often?" He looked at me.
"Huh?"
"Nightmares. Do you get those often?"
"No" I shook my head.
I used to get those long back but it stopped. Every encounter with Imran scares me but yesterday on the hospital he said something which scared me the most. When Rehan asked me to go in, Imran came inside few minutes later. "Every time I see you, Aimen, my unfinished business comes in my mind. I so wanna complete it" I know what it means and he will kidnap me again me to do it. Astaghfirullah.
Rehan brought me back from my thoughts "Let's pray Asr" He took my hand. He disappeared into the bathroom to do wudhu. I did wudhu after him. He laid the two praying mats. You know, its the best feeling I ever had and will ever get, praying behind him. After praying we spread hands for dua.

I got up folding my praying mat. He pulled me by my waist and I collided in his chest. His touch sent a weird feelings down me. I smiled looking at his hypnotizing eyes. He kissed my forehead "How's your headache?" I looked down hiding my red face.
"Alhamdulilah! Fine" More fine after this kiss.
"Good!" He kissed again but this time on the cheek.
*******
We walked hand in hand down the street. After the excellent dinner we had, Rehan asked the driver to go and started to walk, only Allah knows to where.
I looked at him. A striking face, clean beard and not to forget his perfect eyes could make anyone fall for him. But now he is my husband, so girls back off. "I know I'm so handsome but still I'll ask you why are staring at me?" He asked looking at me.
"Can't I stare at you with no reason?"
"Yes, you can baby" he kissed my hand.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"We will explore this place later, now I'm taking you to the place you will like"
We went to a park. It was still open at this hour and few couples were scattered around. Rehan took me to a near bench. He tapped a seat next to him. We sat facing a beautiful lake.
"So...."
"So...."
"Tell me about you" I asked.
"Like what?"
"From anything to everything"
"You ask?" He played with my fingers.
"Okay.....why did you chose engineering when you were about to take dad's business"
He let out a small laugh "Many people ask me that"
"I know I have to take over dad's business one day or other and that's why I chose engineering" I gave him a confused look. "What's the use of joining some business school when you gonna learn that later and also I always wished to pursue mechanical engineering"
"Smart" I said, patting his shoulder.
"That I am" he gave a wink.
"You like this place?"
"Yeah!" I said placing my head in his shoulder looking at the lake.
"Tell me about you, Aimen. What's your favorite food?"
"That's hard to say everything is my favorite" he laughed at this. "What's your favourite?"
"Biryani" He cheered.
"What's your favorite color?" He asked.
"Purple. What's yours, dear husband?" I faced him.
"Red. Mostly on you" He caressed my cheeks. I'm wearing red right now. He came closer, our lips were inches apart when his phone rang.
"Fuck!" He cursed under his breath.
"Javid?" He said looking at phone. "He never calls me unless an emergency"

Arcane Engines: Alchemist’s Scheme
A seemingly chance encounter with an ancient machine and an assassination attempt threaten to disrupt Veil’s education at the premier mage academy of Ithalaan. The bombings and terrorist actions that follow throw the entire region into chaos and draw him inexorably deeper into a mystery involving cults, gods, and ancient mysterious races. These events threaten Veil’s carefully crafted plans, but there are few limits on his ambition. He is willing to do whatever it takes to advance his schemes to become a Magus, including pursuing the illegal discipline of soul magic. While Veil isn’t a powerful mage yet, his spell wrought guns and illicit abilities will help even the playing field. The need to face down his enemies and fulfill his ambitions will send him desperately searching from Forerunner ruins in the Great Northern Forest to ancient abyssal cities within the depths of the planet. _________________________________________________________________ The book is primarily fantasy with a steampunk background. Science fiction elements won't be introduced for quite some time. I currently update my work at a rate of one chapter per week. I'm also in the process of editing chapters 1 - 7, changing the format to make it more readable, and introducing more show and less tell. The reworked chapters will have (edited) after the title. All chapters after 8 have already been written in the new style. I have a Patreon page if you wish to donate. Also, there will be intense situations, some explicit violence, and although it is not an erotic work, one or two sex scenes.

Magician's Pact
A young boy with a special key finds himself caught up with an old wizard, an ancient prohpecy, and a possibly conspercy. This sounds like the sort of thing most childern would love to be a part of, but there are just three small problems. The first is that he is not the hero. Someone already got that role. The second is that he isn't a wizard. He is a Magician which complicates things. The third is that there might be a chance that the whole 'problem' might be comming from his end. Personally he never understood (or interacted with) the 'secret' magical world, but that becomes a problem when the magical world apparently has what his role is supposed to be according to their ancient book... and they are not to happy about him not matching their book. Still it shouldn't be to hard right? All he has to do is go to a school, learn some wizard magic, make sure nobody takes his key... also avoid dying. Thankfully he has had a lot of expereince with that last part and a bunch of Twig Twirling childern can't be too dangerious? Right?

Unfortunately, he finds himself stranded in the desert with nothing around. He must survive the harsh conditions and hopefully create NPCs to help him. ~ What to Expect ~ - Lots of NPC interactions.
