《A great change》Chapter 21.

*Unedited*
I have seen this house somewhere or visited it, but when?
"So you finally became my daughter-in-law" My new mom, I mean Rehan's mother said cupping my face. I gave a short smile.
"I want to introduce you to many people but before that let's meet your dadi(Rehan's grandmother)"She took me to a room.
"Ah! My child is finally married" Dadi kissed my forehead.
"To your grandson itself," One of the aunties said. She was Dadi's only daughter in that sense Rehan's phuphi (aunt).
Everything here is related to Rehan because I'm his wife. Wait, where is he?
"Did you like your wedding dress?" Dadi asked out of nowhere.
"I loved it but it is so heavy" I just can't wait to get out of this lehenga and get into something cozy.
She laughed saying "What's the use of wearing a lightweight dress at the wedding?" Her charms are still vivid but it makes me sad when I see her like this. Her age has bought diabetes along with it. Sometimes her sugar rises to a peak and sometimes it goes down. At the ceremony, I heard her sugar levels gone down making her dizzy so she left early.
"Hello everyone" Sidra entered "Mom, you called me?"
"Yeah! Take Aimen to her room" Mom said.
"Let's go bhabhi" Sidra grabbed my hand and helped with my lehenga.
"So how it feels after being married?"
"Nervous" I defined my feeling in one word.
"Aww...my bhabhi is nervous" She squealed.
"Sidraaaa stop calling bhabhi. Call me by the name" It feels like I have aged a lot.
"Okay, Aimen. Fine?" she placed her hands in the air in defense.
"More than fine," I said, smiling.
We moved through a passage. It was beautifully designed. The house was so beautiful like some castle in a fairy tale. Something inside me is saying that it is very familiar.
"This house is very familiar to me" I whispered but it was loud enough for Sidra to hear.
"It won't be. Remember you didn't come with your family when they visited us a few months back" She spoke sarcastically. The thing which she keeps reminding me of till now.

I just nodded because if I argued anymore I would be a cadaver right now. She was very angry when I said I won't be coming because of my exams.
We came to halt before a room. Sidra opened it. My mouth hung down on seeing it.
It was very beautiful and had a combination of black and light brown. The curtains and couch were brown. The center of the bed had few rose petals and the lights were dimmed.
"From now on bhai's room is yours. Feel free to mess it" She gave me a wink.
"Okay. There's your bag, that's the bathroom and other things you can see by yourself" I busied myself in seeing the room.
"And bhai will be here soon. Enjoy your night" She gave another wink and this one made me blush.
I paced throughout the room. The thought of Rehan brought me some weird feelings.
I say I hate him but I don't hate him like really hate him, I do but.....I dislike him .....augh! Just leave it.
I sat in bed and the only thought that enveloped my mind is "This house looks so familiar" I'm one of those kinds of persons who would think again and again if they don't get a particular answer. Curiosity, what to do.
The door opened and in came, my husband. "Assalamualaikum!" He said looking as handsome as always.
"Walaikumassalam!" I replied in a low voice.
He sat opposite and my breath hitched. Don't tell me we gonna do that thing. I'm not ready, man.
"You okay?" He asked. Maybe he sensed my nervousness. One thing about Rehan, he is good at reading faces.
"Yup!" I said popping over 'p'. Something made me ask him my all-time question "Have I visited this house before? I mean it looks familiar"
"You don't know?" He asked grinning ear to ear. Am I missing something?
"No" I nod my head.
"You will know it soon" He replied still smiling.
"Let's perform namaz" He announced, ignoring my pleas to tell.
I put on the scarf which was fit for namaz. He leads the prayer. I must admit it was the best feeling I ever had and it was my long-time dream which came true. To stand beside my husband and in front of my lord.

"Get changed till then I will use the bathroom" He took some clothes from the closet and went to the bathroom.
First, I removed all my jewels which for a few hours had become my body part. I placed them neatly in the box on the dressing table.
I unzipped my bag and was shocked on seeing the thing which was inside it. Who the hell kept this?
It was a negligee. It was black and was so transparent. Never in my life, I will wear it. I took it to see if there was any other dress but there was none instead a note slipped from it:
'From your two caring friends. Enjoy and give us our little Aimen & Rehan very soon'
You are so dead my caring friends! I placed it back and zipped the bag securely.
I lifted my head and saw Rehan's reflection in the mirror. Ya Allah! He should have not seen it.
He was trying and failing to hold back his smile. Allah, please save me from this embarrassment.
"That's my wardrobe, choose anything which seems comfortable for you," He said.
This is a common scene in every story but for now, I'm thankful to Rehan. I'm even ready to give him a big thanks hug.
I searched for something cozy and was struck with many things. He has good taste in fashion. At last, I choose a grey polo T-shirt and a sweatpant.
I went to the bathroom and got changed into Rehan's clothes after doing all stuff. It was big but I managed it anyway.
"Aimen," He said.
"Hmm.."
"Ah..." He opened his mouth and closed it again "This is for you, a small wedding gift from me" He was rubbing his neck.
It was a small box with a ribbon above it. I untied the ribbon and opened the box...
"Wow!" I whispered.
"You like it?" He had a suspicious look.
"I love it. How can anyone dislike it?" He gave a heart-melting smile.
It was a chain made of platinum. At the center was a heart-shaped dollar with a small diamond fitted in the middle. Overall it was so beautiful.
I decided to wear it but was stopped by Rehan "May I ?" He asked.
He held a pleading look that I couldn't resist so I nodded saying yes.
She grabbed all her hair and placed it on her shoulder. I slid the chain around her white neck. Her scent was so mesmerizing. I had a great urge to kiss her but thought it could wait... Wait till I become 100% sure that she loves me, who knows when this will happen!
"You are looking pretty....um..this..it looks pretty on you," I said scratching my neck. I, as normal, started to buffer before her. Argh, Aimen! You have so much effect on me.
She beamed a smile that I was longing to see for many months.
"Have some sleep. Reception is tomorrow, another tiring day. So sleep" I moved to the bed and slept in such a position that my back would be facing her.
I stared at the wall to remain awake. After a few minutes, I felt aimen's presence next to me.
I waited for her to sleep. I turned and checked on her. Thanks to Allah she is asleep.
I keenly watched her. She was extremely beautiful without any makeup. I tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear. I did it carefully not to disturb her.
I mentally smiled remembering her question. She didn't remember when she came here. Oh, Aimen! It was the first time you made me fall for you.
My all-time dream of marrying her came true.
I gently kissed her forehead and whispered "I love you". I drifted into peaceful sleep feeling so happy.
