《The Rejected Royal》Learning the Truth

Logan's face changes from a nervous one to a sad one, but quickly to a relieved one.
"That's kind not what I asked you, but it's ok. As long as I give you space and you can think of actually accepting me as your mate. I'll wait. I'll wait a thousand years if I have to. Although I don't think I'll be alive for that long. And I'm assuming you don't feel any new connections towards me...." Logan explains, sweetly. That was not what I was excpecting, but it was still adorable. I just which I wasn't such a selfish brat when I said what I said. I actually think he could do way better than me. The moon goddess does like to put me in confusing scenarios, doesn't she?
"You're so sweet and understanding, Logan. I just need some more time... That's all." I surprise him with a hug, and it takes a while for him to hug me back, but once he does we stay like that for a long time. Well, it felt like just seconds, but I'm sure it was a couple of minutes. We stop hugging once we hear someone clearing their throat.
I slowly turn around to be faced with 6 amused faces. I smile nervously at them, but then remember that Logan rejected me at first. I need to find out why he rejected me, before I make the descision to let him into my life, permanently.
"Logan, why did you reject me when you found out about me being your mate?" I ask him slowly. He looks at me speechless, so I raise my eyebrows at him and clear my throat.
"Oh, um... Well you see.... Ugh I'm just going to go out and say it. You deserve to know. And you deserve to know why we bullied you." He takes a pause before continuing, "The day you came into our pack, everyone was actually ecstatic because you know how powerful your dad is. An ex-member of the werewolf council. I mean just think of how it could've been... But then he told all of us that you were dangerous, of course I don't remember a lot since I was just a one year old. However, I do remember how when I was a three year old I always wanted to play with you, but my parents never allowed it. Then as I grew up everyone around me started bullying you, so I assumed you did something bad. Of course later on in my life, when I turned 16 my parents told me the real reason you were bullied. Because you were dangerous. Because they believed one day you would change the world. They didn't know what kind of change, but they didn't care. They didn't like change and they didn't want it. So they forced me to bully you every day. What kind of leaders were they? Continuing on with the story, when I found out that you were my mate I felt even more guilty for all the things I did to you, I still feel guilty. But I had to reject you. I was afraid that my parents were going to kill you if I accepted you we my mate. I still am afraid that you might die because of me, but I'm ready to fight for you." He speaks slowly, like he's remembering every single detail of what happened. At the end he's confident and looks at me with love and guilt. I react quickly and hug him. Hug him like he's the most precious thing in the world. He hugs back just the same.

"I'm sorry." He mumbles over and over again.
"It's ok. I forgive you, and we can start over again. We can try to be mates again." I whisper in his ear.
When we finish hugging, I turn around to see everyone with huge grins on their faces.
"What are you all so happy about?" I ask them.
"You guys are cute together." Nicole states, dreamily.
"Uh...Thanks?" I say, questionably.
"So... What are we waiting for? Let's get this party started!!"

Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.

Time And Thoughts
This a book is where I freely express and convey emotions and my thoughts about topics. It's a place where I spend my TIME putting my THOUGHTS into words in hopes of helping someone. I've written these poems in such a way, so that my viewers can derive their own meaning from them. For me as a person I tend to feel more comforted, when down, by listen to music or reading poems, in which the poem or song is hopeless and gives off the feeling of the protagonist being bluntly hurt. In my poems I write without words of encouragement, but instead comfort the reader through understanding and allowing them to feel.If you ever feel the need to talk to someone or want to know the meaning of one of my poems or just wanna say something feel free to comment or private message me.Please enjoy and be comforted by my book.Highest ranking:#1 poems#1 poembook#2 poemcollection#2 poem#3 poetry#3 poetrycollection#5 sadpoems#5 thoughts#8 emotions#13 freeverse#17 hopeless#20 feelings#24 sadness#36 depressing #44 updating#56 life#70 sad#87 poet
