I wake up to the sound of footsteps moving around the house. My eyes flutter open to see that I'm on my comfy bed. I get up and look outside to see that its still dark out. How long did I sleep for?
As I walk towards my door way, I hear someone say something along the lines of 'Hide she's coming.' What is that about? I walk towards the living room, quietly. You never know. There could be a murderer in here. Why else would someone say 'hide she's coming'? Unless they're talking about a different girl. Which could happen, but I don't know.....I guess I'm over thinking it. I tend to do that A LOT.
'Jessica? Are you there?' I try to mind-link Jessica. However, it doesn't work. Why doesn't it work? Is she hurt? She only blocks me when she's upset with me. Did I do something wrong? Or maybe she's just sleeping. Yeah, it has to do that.
'Logan? Are you there?' After a while of him not answering I try again.
'Please answer me. This is scaring me..' I admit, this is scary and I usually don't get this scared, but these are my friends, almost family and I don't know what's happened to them.
Once I enter the living room, the room is pitch black. Even with my werewolf eye-sight. I get a really strange feeling like someone's watching me. I want to yell 'Hello', but I know that if there truly was some murderer in the house/cave they would surely just kill me right there and then. They wouldn't just be like 'Hey, what's up? Ready to get killed? No? Well here, maybe after you eat this delicious sandwich I made you.' I mean seriously...
"SURPRISE!!!" I hear a bunch of different voices scream from all around the room. In just a second, I'm already screaming bloody murder.

"Emily! EMILY! It's ok, it's just us." I open my eyes to see that it was just Logan and everyone else.
"Oh....sorry." I say kind of awkwardly, Logan just chuckles in response.
"Happy Birthday, princess." He says sweetly, and that's when I really take in my surroundings. The room is completely clean with a bunch of lime green balloons everywhere. And on top of the entrance to the kitchen, there's a huge sign that says 'Happy 18th Birthday, Emily!!' It's sweet that they thought of me. I totally forgot it was my birthday today. But...what day is it?
"Um..not that I'm not grateful for all of this, but what day is it?" I ask kind of awkwardly.
"Oh! Today is the last day of school. Also known as finals day. And you spent the entire day completely oblivious to the fact that it was your birthday." Jessica stated with a slight chuckle at the end.
"Considering that it is your 18th birthday. Can I ask you a question?" Logan asks nervously.
"Of course as long is it isn't 'can you clean my room?' Or anything like that." I joke. However, he still looks nervous.
"Um...now that you're 18... Do you feel any pull towards me? Or am I suddenly attractive towards you?" He asks while fiddling with his fingers. That's sooo sweet! Wait...did he just ask me if I liked him now because of the mate pull. If only I could tell him that I've always liked him.... But that would ruin my pride..soooo no.
*queue the music*
Little do you know... (Um...no)
*turn off the music*
"I'm sorry, but I don't think becoming more than friends is a good idea..." I say with a frown.
