"Logan?"

"Emily?" Emily, and I both say each others names in sync.

I start to slowly walk towards her, it takes a while for her to process what's happening, but once she does she takes a step back.

"What are you doing here?" She asks, her voice full of hatred. I don't answer.

"I asked you, what are you doing here?" She asks again. I can tell she's getting impatient.

"I-I came to find you.." I finally answer.

"Well I didn't and still don't want to be found." She says before quickly turning around to run away. Why does she always end our conversations like this? Wait! What am I doing just standing here?!

I start running top speed after Emily.

"Oh no your not!!" Someone yells from behind me before I get tackled on to the ground. I turn to face a guy with brown hair.

"First of all, WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM?! Second of all! Who are you?!" I yell at the guy who tackled me.

"You're the problem! You reject Emily and then you come looking for her! That doesn't make sense!! And my name's Chase." He yells at first, but when he gets to his name he lowers his voice.

"Stay away from my mate!" I growl.

"Bruh, you rejected her. Plus, I have my own mate, and I would never do that to the Future King and Queen." He states while getting off of me.

"What do you mean 'Future King and Queen'?"

"Ooohhhh, I forgot.... You don't know.." He states while backing away slowly.

"I don't know what?"

"Duck!" He yells.

"Duck? I know what a duck is."

"No! Not 'duck'! Duck!" He signals while pulling me down with him. And just in time too, because a giant creature with the upper body half of an eagle and the bottom body half of a lion.

"What was that?!" I ask once everything calmed down.

"That, my friend, was a Griffin." He states calmly. I stand there shocked until I realize he's completely serious.

"I thought they were mythical."

"And humans think we're mythical too." He states while walking away.

"Are you coming, or what?" He yells. I start running towards him.

"Where are we going?" I break the silence.

"You'll see." He smirks.

"You're no fun." I pout. Yeah I know kids girly, but don't say you've never done it.

"We're here." He stops in front a huge waterfall.

"Where's here?" I ask, cluelessly. He whistles and the waterfall opens up to show a cave.

"Woah." I mumble.

"I know right. I'm one lucky man to be the mate of the girl who owns this cave." He exclaims happily. I whimper, wanting my mate back.

"Sorry dude. I didn't mean t-" he starts, but I cut him off.

"It's cool. As long as you help me get mine." I threaten him.

"I'm sorry your highness, but I can't do that... The queen is the only one who can decide if your forgiven. And I accept whatever her decision is." He states while walking on the path that just came up to talk into the cave.

"I'm sorry, but why did you call me your highness, and who's your queen?" I ask him while following him into the dark cave.

"Your my queens mate." He states simply.

"No I'm Emily's mate. She's just an omega." I state in a 'duh' tone.

"So you don't believe an omega can be queen?" He growls, protectively.

"Why are you so protective over omegas?"

"My queen is Emily, an omega!" He yells before storming off. He didn't get far, because he came back when he remembered I didn't know where to go.

When we were near the living room, which was just a room with a few pillows, I smelled my mates scent, but there was another scent REALLY close to it. And it was of an unmated male!!!! I growl at the thought of another male with my mate.

"Dude, what's up?" Chase asks...worried? Wait he called me you highness earlier...why is he switching.

"There's another male with my mate." He rolls his eyes.

"That's her cousin your highness."

"Oh..." He's really confusing me.

"Is there another male here other than you and her cousin?" I ask protectively.

"No." He shakes his head.

"Okay. Good." I say sternly. He rolls his eyes.

"Chase! You traitor!!!" I hear my mates voice from the kitchen.

"What?! I thought we could deal with this he proper way. By voting." He says calmly.

My mate comes up to us, tries to punch me, but ends up punching Chase. Right on the nose!! That's going to hurt.

"I told you to leave me alone!!" She yells.

"I can't!"

"Why?!"

"Because I-I-I love you!!" I yell at her.

"If you truly love me, you'd leave me alone." She says quietly. I turn around and slowly make my way back to where I left my beta.

Once I get there he states at me with wide eyes.

"You left her?" He asks, shocked.

"Yes! Because she asked me to and I-I love her!!" I say on the verge of tears.
