"She died when she was 120, in 1898. They say that a century after her death the next royal would be born.", through out her entire speech she looked right at me. I'm surprised that nobody noticed. Wait. I was born in 1998..... that's a century after her death..... does that mean....... I'm the next royal....

I just stare at the teacher and she stares back at me. Nobody seems to notice.... Mrs. Jones continues to talk about Bella, and how she saved the entire supernatural race, so they made her a royal of the entire supernatural species. They say that when the next royal comes, she-yes, she- will save the entire supernatural race, again. Weird, right? I mean if I am the next royal...... which I'm probably not, how would I defeat whatever wants to "rule" the entire supernatural species? It's not like I have powers. *poof*

"Ahhhh!!", all, well, almost all of the girls scream. Some of the boys screamed as well.

"Fire!!! Fire!!", a boy kept chanting. Well, duh. Something or someone made a fire appear on my desk.... nothing weird.

Wait..... FIRE!!!!

"Ahhhhhh!!! Fire!!! Someone help me!! Please!!", I yelled once I came to my senses. Just then a boy with brown hair comes up with a fire extinguisher.

" Whew..", I wipe invisible sweat of my face.

"Thanks. My name is Emily We-Jackson.", I almost blow my cover.

"Are you sure. You seemed kinda hesitant there.", he teases.

"Yeah, I'm sure. So are you going to tell me your name, or are you just going to stand there?"

"My name is Chase. Chase Weather. And your welcome.", he says quickly.

"Wow, Chase Weather. That's an unusual name.", I say before sitting back down.

"Ok class settle down. Settle down. I know all of you are confused at what caused the fire. Believe me, I am too."

She's bluffing, a voice says from my head. It's not any of my friends. An it can't be my wolf. Is it my wolf?

"Ok, let's start where we left out.", Mrs. Jones says, after everyone stopped talking about the incident.

"Hey, Emily, wait up!", a voice yells from behind me. Its out of breath so they were probably running. I'm walking with Jessica and Brian to go outside for lunch. Everyone has lunch at the same time. It isn't very organized, but they have a huge lunch room, and field. I slow down, and nod to Jessica and Brian to go ahead without me.

"What's up?", I ask him while walking towards him, so he doesn't have to run anymore."I thought I'd show you around and introduce you to my friends. Um.... Can you get your friends first, so you they can meet them too?""Yeah sure. It'll just take a second.", I say before quickly going to mind link.

Hey, Jessica, Brian, could you come back to where I am, please? This guy named Chase wants us to meet his friends. , I wait a couple of minutes before hearing running footsteps coming closer and closer.

"Hey, where are these friends of yours?", Jessica asks Chase.

"Follow me.", he says before walking towards the back, where the woods are.

"Are they here?", I ask once we reach a beautiful, translucent pond.

"Wait and see.", he says quietly, before I hear some rustling from behind me, and from my left, and right.

"Hey, so this is the girl you were talking about?", a girl about my age with blonde hair comes from my right.

"And who are the two people next to her?", another girl about my age, but with brown hair and sorta blonde highlights comes from behind me.

"Girls, just chill-ax, you never know they could be like us.", a third girl about my age, but with really curly, black hair says from my left.

With each person we all turn around to face who is talking. I somehow managed to crack my neck a bit.

"Actually girls, the guy isn't like us, but the two girls are.", Chase tries to whisper, but because of our werewolf hearing-yes, even mine-we heard him.

"What do you mean 'like us'? And who are these girls?", Jessica asks, kind of annoyed.

"Emily, Jessica, Alpha Brian. These are my friends, Alicia,", he points to the girl with blonde hair, and she smiles and waves. "Nicole,", he points to the girl with black curly hair, and she comes and hugs Jessica and I. "and Sydney, my mate.", he says and Sydney goes and stands next to him, while he raps his arm around her shoulders, she smiles a huge grin as her eyes twinkle.

"Ok, nice to meet all of you, but what did you mean by 'like us'?", I ask him as I smile and wave at all of them.

"Hey, hey... Hey! Before we go to that! What are your names? I mean of course I heard Chase say your names, but its polite if you introduce yourself.", Nicole says quickly. I laugh at her trying to make us polite.

"Right, where are our manners? My name is Emily Jackson,", Chase and the girls all ahum, very sassy like. "This is Jessica, and this is Alpha Brian?", I finish with a confused tone.

"Emily, we know your real last name.", Chase speaks up after 5 minutes of awkward silence.

"What are you talking about?" I say confusingly. I'm a very good actress, and I can easily just lie or, well, act if someone says something like that. Of course sometimes I panic, who wouldn't, but I learned how to keep it inside.

"Don't lie, your Highness. We know you are the next royal. We are your guards, and warriors." Chase says proudly. Brian gasps and bows down. I just role my eyes.

"I'm not the next royal," I stop to think of it for a while. "Even if I was couldn't help the supernatural species from whatever wants to kill us."

"RRAAAHHH! EEEAAAAHHH!! (please don't judge, I don't know how to write sounds.)" I hear something or someone screech from above. I also hear wings flapping, or something like that.

"Everyone duck!" Chase yells. We all do as he says, and just on time too. A huge bird, no lion, no! Both! A huge bird, and lion creature comes gliding down trying to catch one of us as its prey.

"What was that!" Jessica is the first to speak after the incident.

"That was a Griffin." Alicia states like she's ducked from a.... Griffin, before. I then realize that Brian is still bowing.

"Oh, sorry Brian. You can stand up now. Even though I don't know why your bowing to me, out of all people." He stands up cautiously ready to duck again, just in case the Griffin comes back.

"We should get going, you never know what does creatures," Sydney starts, but stops to scowl. "Of dark magic are up to. You can come with me. I live near. I'll also cook you up some food, I know we kinda ruined your lunch time." She finishes with a guilty look on her face.

"No, its ok. And we'd be honored to go to your house. We...... We need to talk." I say simply while nodding my head to tell her to start walking to her house.

"Are we there yet?" Jessica asks impatiently.

"Jessica! Its only been 4 minutes!" I yell at her, and she pouts playfully. Brian chuckles, since he's the only one who noticed.

"Actually we're here." Sydney says quickly while turning around.

"Where's here?" Brian asks. Right, we're just standing right in front of a waterfall. That can't be her house.... Can it?

"Um..... well, to be honest, we're basically in the middle of nowhere. This place is nowhere on the map." She finishes happily.

"Um... I'll be right back. I just need to open it for you." She says before completely diving in the body of water.

"What does she need to open? And why did she just completely dive down there?" I ask my eyes wide.

"Oh don't worry about her." Chase says dreamily. That's kind of sweet. Just then the waterfall completely vanishes and instead there is a cave. Nobody is fazed by this, other than Brian, Jessica, and I.

"Are you ready to go in." Sydney says after she's back to the surface. That was more than 15 minutes down there.

"How did you hold your breath for that long?" I ask, totally ignoring her question. She just giggles and raises her...... tail?

"Your a mermaid?" Jessica is the first to ask out of the three of us.

"Yep, now are you gonna go in, or what?" We all nod.

Once we enter her, house cave, she turns back into a human, and closes the cave, and lets the water fall again.

"I thought supernaturals couldn't be mated with other supernaturals?" I ask. I've never heard of something like this happening.

"Well...... honestly we haven't figured this out either. Neither, Alicia, nor Nicole have found their mates.... so we can't really figure out the puzzle. Have you found your mate?" Chase asks me. I look at Jessica and Brian, and they both nod signalling to tell them what happened.

"Yes, I found my mate..." I was about to explain when I was interrupted with a group hug.

"We're so happy for you!" All the girls except for Jessica yelled.

"Well.......................... He kinda rejected me the day he found out it was me. No one knows why, and I kinda ran away the same day, knowing that he was probably going to beat me up afterwards." I say leaving the part about him MAKING me his mate, even after he rejected me and I accepted it. I mean who does that?!

"Wow! But why would he beat you up? Your a strong wolf, right?" Alicia asks. I slowly shake my head.

"I'm an omega......" Everyone gasps, and I thought they were going to kick me out, because they finally realized I'm not the next royal. But, they don't. I open my eyes and look up. I didn't even realize I closed my eyes, or even looked down. They're all looking at me with questionable eyes, but they don't say anything. Its like they're having a conversation through their minds. They probably are.

"I'm sorry Emily, but you have to........."
