"WHAT?
Listen, I am hardly permitted to go and you think Ashton would risk his precious YOU? You really have gone mad haven't you?"
He began to walk away at a unnecessarily fast pace, shaking his head dramatically. As I watched him twist the doorknob in his fingers, I scanned my brain for a valid reason to make his stay.
"WAIT!
That's why Ashton won't know! and-and I HAVE A PLAN!!" I sped out frantically.
I let out a sigh as he dropped the doorknob from his hold and spun around to face me.
The look he was giving me made me want to eat my words and throw them up again.
I hoped he was debating on the possibility of my plan and not planning on my murder..
"Speak."
He spat out hatefully, but nonetheless sat down beside me on the bed.
I began to word vomit out my genius plan.
Marco would convince Ashton a good place to meet with Oso would be at Dancing Flamingo's (a local stripper club) for a chat about some girls Oso might be interested in.
He would hold off Ashton on this plan for a couple of days so we could get everything set up for no cracks in the plan.
Ashton would bring along 8 girls, that Marco would choose as decoy, so I could easily come along with the right disguise.
While Ashton is inside "talking" to Oso, he will really be distracting him while some of their mafia erm.. members?
Surround the whole strip-club leaving no way out.
"From then on, you guys just do your mafia bad guy stuff to get Oso dead then boom everybody can go home!" I decided, clapping my hands together for emphasis.
"Everybody but Oso, that is."
Marco smirked at me, but I couldn't stop the shiver that ran through my spine.

Was I really ready to be partially responsible for a death?
"So are you in or are you out?"
I shakily questioned, making up my mind.
His smirk grew wider if possible, and he clapped me heavily on the back making me cough.
"Don't know what the point of you coming is, but yes, I will use your somehow faultless plan."
I smiled lightly, convincing myself this would work.
Convincing myself Ashton wouldn't find out. Convincing myself I was doing this for me..
A part of me wondered who Marco was doing this for..
He had been gone for around thirty minutes, I assumed since I had no sense of time, when my stomach made an ungodly sound.
I needed to eat or things were going to get ugly.
I walked to the door, making silent prayer the door was unlocked and I wasn't just completely being held captive against my will.
Pushing the door open, I did a quick happy dance and made like a jet down the corridor to the kitchen. I noticed more people then ever, casually scattered around the house, but I kept my eyes on the prize: Cereal.
Earlier, before I had eaten the brownies, I had spotted seven different types of cereal on top of his fridge!
I was determined to try at least 3 on my stay here.
Grabbing the Cookie Crunch, I quickly poured my bowl, and decided that eating cereal away from all the strange men would be make it much more tasteful.
The corridor was dark now, and I wondered if that was any indication to what it was like outside.
Sighing, I opened the door back to my cell, Cookie Crisp's in hand giving me hope for the future.

"Madison!"
"Madison, wake up."
"Get up Madi."

"MADISON!!!"
Snapping my eyes up to the nuisance who dare disturb my sleep, I realized it was Marco and he probably had news about the plan.
My plan..
"I'm hoping you came to tell me something important."
I snapped, a little rudely but I was hardly awake in my defense.
"He approves."
"Great! Plan is in action!" His face fell at my lame comment as I did a small victory dance, in bed.
"Except there is one tiny, little, alteration." he winced, making his voice squeak.
"What's that?"
"Well, he's sort of ready to go on with the plan like now. As in I will be lucky if I can hold him off for a day, forget about a couple." He scratched the back of his neck, something I'd grown familiar with his brother doing, but I simply beamed brightly at him.
"Well then,
we better get moving."

8 163The Exiled Villainess Returns
(Please heed the warnings above before reading) Reborn into the beautiful but deadly world of Ethetia, she comes to a sudden awareness that she is now Livia Katrina Valentine, a character of a game of a reverse harem she once played on Earth called Aster Academy: The Feuding Houses. But this revelation comes a bit too late. You see, Livia wasn't just anyone. She was not given the anonymity of being a background character, or even the blessing of being the heroine. Instead, she has bestowed the role of being the atrocious villainess. And that is exactly what she had been. As a result, Livia triggers her own death flag event at her debutante. Her memories of her past life have the grace to come only minutes before she is accused of poisoning the heroine, Amelia. But all is not helpless. Via last-minute intervention, Livia successfully manages to avoid having her head decapitated. Being exiled was a small price to pay for retaining a pulse. Plus, at least this way, Livia can finally start to live her life, to become more than just a cruel folly. Her exile should have been a new but unusual beginning to her story. But pitiless reality comes knocking. Ethetia had once only been a background setting in a game. A pretty and still picture that mostly went disregarded as the even prettier characters on the screen unloaded their dialogue, but now, it was Livia's world. As real and wonderous as planet Earth once had been, filled with small creatures with their own wills, ambitions, and needs. Such one creature decides that exile was not enough of a penalty. That Livia, the bullish and jealous tormentor of the heroine, deserves a fate more befitting of her past deeds. One worst than death. Livia's fate is ripped out of her hands. She is forced into a collar, sold to an empire rotten with greed, and placed inside a harem where she is expected to wither and die from the inside out. But Livia refuses to be forgotten. Burning with a deep rage against those who only wish to see her fall into her own grave, Livia makes a twisted promise to herself. A promise that pushes her through the darkest moments of her life and brings to light a newfound power rooted deep inside her. So keen to discard her as the villain she has once been, the little creatures in their own ignorance brought forth something they could never dream to fathom. A beacon of darkness.

8 861Villain To Be
Lady Emilia Rose Fireheart should have been the rival character in the game “Novelty of Nobility” but because the current Lady is a reincarnated person, she marvelously messed things up. -Inspired by the novel An Otome Game's Burikko Villainess Turned into a Magic Otaku and other similar works. -Cover art was googled. Well, the monsters depicted in this story were mostly inspired by Monster Hunter so... yey~
8 394A Prose of Years
For decades, spiritualist Evert Kallstrom and his team have joined in humanity’s millennia-long fight against the beasts. Wielding their weapons and their ki, they fought and killed these great threats to civilization. And yet, despite their efforts, humanity was losing traction in the war. In the last fifty years alone, more cities had been overrun than in all of known history. While most thought the great beasts natural, a few knew the terrible truth. They were the product of a dark lord, who desired neither fame nor wealth nor power. Instead, his sole purpose was the genocide of humanity. While their peers dithered, a small faction of the strongest mankind had to offer—including Evert Kallstrom and his team—set out towards the Deadlands to find and confront this dark lord. After weeks of travel, twenty-one spiritualists found themselves approaching an ancient fortress wherein rested a being known only as the Eastern Guardian. All they found was death. But death has other plans for Evert. Evert bolts awake in his 16 year old body near his hometown, decades in the past. He is confused, poor and weak. But with grit, sweat, and years of experience, he won't let the future repeat itself. That level of strength won't be enough by itself (it wasn’t last time) and victory is hardly assured (he’ll need to reach farther and higher than he ever did), but Evert refuses to squander a second chance. [Other tags: First Person POV, Hard Magic, Faulty Memory] Volume 1 is complete and has been fully released. My current intention is not to write any sequel volumes. That said, I have also released appendices (SPOILERS) that cover the worldbuilding and future story-that-never-was. Comments suggesting fixes for grammar, misspellings, etc. appreciated. Note: If you came here from Candlelit Lives, these stories have nothing in common.
8 148Spontaneously Cooking
In this literary saga of cooking, an impulsive narrative was conducted after a string of unfortunate encounters. A life was spirited away and in turn, paved the path of optimism with... Food? Often times the language of the stomach speaks for itself. Hunger begets anger (hangry?) and sustenance can be truely food for the soul. This story revolves around a decent 24 year old chef and her cat. Devour, quench and appease yourself in this whimsical dish of delight. Bon appetite.
