It's been 1 year since me and lilian became 'friends' again, and we've put her father in prison lilian and her mother as witnesses of the crimes he did plus the evidence. I'm 15 now... time goes by so fast, right now it's summer break and were meeting up to hang out?
"Brother, why are they taking so long?" I asked Constantine who was looking at the map of Yer, are we lost?
"That's weird they should be here by now." Constantine said.
"Ellie!" A voice shouted from behind us.
"Alastair, hello!" I said waving to him and the rest of the group who were coming to us.
"Why did you guys take so long?" Constantine said with an annoyed expression.
"We were helping someone who was robbed, you see..." As they were all explaining i noticed Cole walking beside me. I looked up at him with a confused look, he was now grabbing my hand.
"Col--"
"Run." Cole said bluntly holding my hand tightly as he dragged me somewhere far from them.
"SISTER!" Constantine shouted running after us, the rest of the group followed behind us. What is Cole doing?!
"So noisy." Cole said while looking back and forming a fire wall that separates us from the rest of the group, i looked at the fire which is blazing my grip tightened on Cole. I'm not that dcared of fire now but seeing it makes me nervous.
Cole who noticed that i tightened my grip on his arm dispelled the fire barrier and just like that we were out of their sight.
"Cole?! What are we doing here?" I asked Cole who was dragging me inside the Cafe.
As we sat down, Cole ordered something as i just stared at him in disbelief.
"Cole??? Why are we here?" I asked Cole, but my voice was a little loud causing the old couple behind us to laugh.
"Young couples these days." The old man behind as said to the old woman in front of him.
My face instantly flushed while Cole just smirked at me, If i could just wipe that smirk of him.
"I'm kidnapping you." Cole said while staring at me.

"Well i don't need to be kidnapped, I'd be willing to go with you, you know!"
"A-and stop staring at me!" I said as i pushed his face to look at the window.
"Cute..." Cole whispered.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing,"
"Your dessert has arrived." The waitress said looking at Cole seductively. Hmp! like he'd pay any attention to you, he's mine!
Wait-- Augh stop it Eleanor! As i looked at the dessert in front of me my mood immediately became pleasant.
I happily ate the Chocolate cake and macarons as Cole just stared at me taking a sip of his coffee? Why isn't he eating anything?
"Why aren't you eating anything?"
"I just ate a while ago so I'm full" Cole said while staring at me.
"That so? Here taste this, its yummy!" I grabbed one of the vanilla flavored macaron and fed him. After he ate that i became conscious of what i did..
"U-uh, mm yummy!" I stuffed my mouth with chocolate cake as Cole laughed at me.
As i was about to eat a eat the slice of choco cake, Cole smoothly grabbed my hand and ate the choco cake on my spoon,
"Yeah, it tastes good, I should have the chef make these everyday in the castle once we get married." Cole stated as he chewed my choco cake.
"Geez your getting more shameless." I said while retreating my hand.
"Only for you." Cole said looking at my lips. OH HECK NAW.
As he leaned in I immediately covered his mouth,
"What are you doing in broad daylight!" I questioned him with my flustered face. He laughed then grabbed a tissue and wiped the chocolate that was near my lips. I became even more red.
"What were you thinking princess?" Cole said slightly laughing.
"S-stop it!" I said as i stuffed my face with macaron.
"Anyway when are we going out of here? Shouldn't we meet them?" I asked as i regained my composure.
"Were going to them soon, it's just i have something to tell you." Cole said as he stared at my eyes.
"What is it? Your suddenly being serious..." I nervously asked him.

"I'm going to war." I dropped my spoon as he said that. Going to war? There wasn't something like that in game..
"What...?" My eyes widened in shock.
"My kingdom and the neighboring kingdom is going to war... As I'm the crown prince i need to fight with them." He explained holding my hand tightly.
"I see... please be safe then." I said as i stood up from my seat walking away from him. I know im being selfish but i don't want him to go there... I don't know what could happen... I don't know if he will come back alive... I get that he's powerful but still, he is just 16 years old...
"Zira!" Cole ran after me, we were now outside the cafe. I faced him, my tears threatening to fall.
"Zira, I'm sorry... but it's my duty as crown prince to fight for my kingdom...I promise I'll come back safely, wait for me..." Cole said as he hugged me. I tried to push him away but he won't budge.
"Idiot! Stupid! Jerk!.... What are you sorry for, you idiot!" I said as i lightly punched his chest as he hugged me tightly.
"A-as you've said it's your duty... Let me come with you.." I said with determined eyes. Ill protect him... I don't know what will happen to him in that war, it's best if i watch him..
"You can't... It's not safe." Cole said looking straight at me.
"Bu-"
"No...Eleanor, promise me you won't go." Cole said while seriously staring at my eyes.
"Fine, i wont...but please, come back safely..." I said as i stroked his cheeks and looking up at his eyes. I really wanna go home now, i want to cry... but you must stay strong fro now Eleanor, don't crumble until he is gone...
"I will...I promise ill some back safely. Wait for me."
"It's a promise then.." I laughed bitterly as i looked at his deep blue eyes. I slowly leaned in and kissed him on the lips, he was surprised at first then kissed me back. I pulled away to catch my breath.
"I love you Cole.." I said slowly as i buried my face on his chest.
"I love you too Zira," Cole whispered, then rain began to pour, it gradually became heavy eventually we ran to a nearby shop for shelter.
I held his hand tightly as we went in, surprisingly the rest of the group were there, and they were also drenched, guess they just came here.
"SISTER! YOU JE--" Constantine immediately shut his mouth seeing that i was on the verge of crying and Cole who was worriedly looking at me.
"Ha...You already told her Cole?" Alastair said behind Constantine, the rest immediately noticed us. Cole slowly nodded. All of them stared at me in silence. Could they stop looking at me? It makes me want to cry.
"Stop staring." They immediately looked the other way.
"Where's Lilian?" As i asked that question they immediately froze.
"U-uh she had something to do so she went home first." Constantine said nervously.
"....You didn't kick her out again did you?" I asked in disbelief, this is already the 3rd time..
"We don't want her around." Hugo stated.
"Yeah...How could you become friends with her after all she did?" Constantine said.
I shake my head at their response.
"She already apologized...She was forced to do that." I stared at them. They all said sorry then after a few minutes the rain died down.
"I'm tired, Ill go home first." I said letting go of Cole then dragging Constantine outside. Cole followed us outside.
"What?" I asked him while slightly smiling.
"Don't worry Cole, I'm fine...just be safe.. well then, goodbye." I said as i kissed him on the cheek, then running to our carriage who just arrived.
As soon as i got in, Constantine followed.
"Sis.." I immediately cried while Constantine embraced me and pat my back lightly. Through out the whole ride, i cried silently. God if your still out there..Please...Keep Cole safe, was what i thought as it began to rain heavily again.

The Girl He Used To Know - An UnderCurrent Story
Pierre Havelock is an author, atleast now he is. In truth 3 decades ago Pierre was dragged across space & time only to land on our boring old earth. So when one of his 'characters', a girl based on someone he once knew in his past life, appears before him - Pierre is less than best pleased. He is even less happy when said girl decides to make his house her new home! __Now on Royal-Road! ‘The Girl he Used To Know’ began life when I came across a rather silly prompt on a web-novel site I was using; "Theme: My 2D waifu is now my real life Valentine's!?"Well with a title like that I couldn’t help but be interested by the idea of leaving my usual writing niche and trying something a bit more novel. Tying it loosely back to my main series ‘UnderCurrent’, ‘GUK’ was born as a standalone romance novella which you are now holding, styled with Japanese tropes in mind from a more western perspective.I hope you will find this to be an interesting and fun read - Designed with the intent of being a somewhat contemplative and ‘cosy’ story - Whatever the case I thank you for picking it up and giving it a once over.- Momentie __I adapted Draft 2 to audio - I can't voice act, or edit, yet I kinda like it & find it personally the best way to enjoy the story😂 - https://youtu.be/kNWiSiZU53U
