《Trust Me (Daryl Dixon x OC)》{38}

We spent the next few months bouncing from house to house. We survived the winter like this, granted it was frustrating to Rick. Lori was starting to show more and we kept trying to find food for her and the baby. Rick and I grew closer as him and his wife grew further apart. After she pushed him and me away for the whole Shane and CDC thing they just weren't the same. We would sneak off into the woods late as hell so no one knew. We never actually got to fucking but, it was a lot of heated make out sessions and long walks under the moon light.

We are in our fifth or sixth house that we were moving to. Rick, Daryl, T-dog and I busted open the door taking out the walkers inside with Carl right behind us. He has become an amazing shot. Once we cleared out the house we signaled for everyone to come inside. Rick was frustrated at the fact that we had to keep moving around and we just couldn't find a place to stay. We all dragged out the bodies we had killed out. Rick closed the doors and everyone settled into the living room. Carl came in holding two cans of what looked like dog food. Daryl was too focused on de-feathering the owl he had killed who knows when. Carl was opening a can when Rick walked over and picked it up. He looked at it reading the label and threw it into the empty fireplace. He was angry and I couldn't blame him.

His actions caused the whole group to jump. T-dog was on watch duty and he whispered at us and noticing the herd we had been running from for months was right back on us. We loaded up the cars and headed off once again. Not knowing where we were going just that we had to leave. Daryl and I were the first to leave leading the group away. We stopped some 8 miles away and pulled over. Maggie pulled out the map we had been using.

"We got nowhere else to go." T-dog said, pointing out the obvious.

"When this herd meets up with this one, we'll be cut off. We'll never make it south." Maggie said, pointing to the map and the herds we were tracking.

"What would you say? That was about 150 head?" Daryl asked and I shook my head.

"That was last week. It could be twice that by now." I said and Hershel looked at the map.

"This river could have delayed them. If we move fast we might have a shot to tear right through there." Hershel said and T-dog chimed in.

"Yeah, but if this group joins with that one, they could spill out this way." He said and I nodded.

"Great so we're blocked." I said rubbing my face in frustration.

"Only thing to do is double back at 27 and swing towards Greenville." Rick said.

"Yeah, we picked through that already. It's like we spent the winter going in circles." T-dog told Rick like he didn't even know.

"Yeah, I know. I know. At Newnan we'll push west. Haven't been through there yet. We can't keep going house to house. Need to find someplace to hold up for a few weeks." Rick said looking over at Lori who was sitting in the car.

"Alright. Is it cool if we get to the creek before we head out? Won't take long. We gotta fill up on water. We can boil it later." T-dog asked and Rick nodded leaving me, Rick and Hershel there.

"Knock yourself out." Rick said and Hershel turned his attention to Lori.

"She can't take much more of this moving about. What else can we do? Let her give birth on the run?" Rick said and Hershel looked at him.

"Do you see a way around that?" He asked Rick and then he walked away.

"Hey, while the others wash their panties, let go hunt." Daryl said and Rick nodded.

"That owl didn't exactly hit the spot." He said and I laughed.

"It's okay redneck we'll find you some squirrel." I said with a smile on my face as I grabbed my crossbow.

"Whatever." He said back to me. We left the group and found some train tracks and decided to follow them. We heard the faint sound of walkers moaning in the distance and we saw a prison. It looked overrun by walkers but damn would it have been a good place to hold up.

"That's a shame." Daryl said as we stopped.

"What are you thinking cowboy?" I asked Rick as he studied the yard full of walkers.

"We can do it." He said and ran off to the group. I looked at Daryl confused and he shrugged his shoulders. We chased after him and he told the group that he found a place. We got into the cars and Daryl and I led the way to the prison.

Once we got there Rick pulled out the bolt cutters and cut open a hole in the fence. "Watch the backside." Rick said holding open the fence and I crawled through first and Daryl followed right behind me. Then we held open the gate for the rest of everyone to get in. Once inside Glenn tied off the open fence with some wire and the walkers on both sides came for us. We ran our way up to the front gate and stayed there.

"It's perfect. If we can shut that gate, prevent more from filling the yard, we can pick off these walkers. We'll take the field by tonight." Rick said and Hershel made a valid point.

"How do we shut the gate?" He asked Rick and I looked around seeing if there was a way over. I mean it was a full recall mission.

"Well, we could make a run for it. Have some people up in those towers shooting walkers who come near the runners and then others on ground level distracting them to the fence. I mean, it's risky but we could do it." I said turning to Rick.

"I'll do it. You guys cover me." Glenn said and I shook my head.

"I'm going with you then. My plan." And Glenn nodded.

"No. It's a suicide run." Maggie said, looking at her boyfriend with worried eyes.

"I can just go." I said and Rick objected.

"No. Glenn, Maggie, and Beth draw as many as you can over there. Pop 'em through the fence. Daryl, go back to the other tower. Carol, you've become a pretty good shot. Take your time. We don't have a lot of ammo to waste. Hershel, you and Carl take this tower. I'll run for the gate." Rick said, laying out what everyone's job was.

"Rick, you're not going alone. There's way too many even with all the distractions you need someone else. I'm going. It was my plan after all." I said and Rick didn't argue with me. He just nodded and I grabbed a machete from one of the bags. We had picked up quite a few weapons going house to house. Glenn handed Rick some large carabiners and they all went to their posts yelling and shaking the fence causing the walkers to go to them and not be distracted by Rick, Lori, and I.

Lori was ready to open the gate on Rick's command. He gave her a small nod and the two of us dashed out of the fence and headed straight for the gate at the top of the hill.

"Careful Rick on your right." I yelled while driving my machete through a walker's skull. I pulled out my gun and shot at any walkers coming close to us. Rick stopped just in time as a shot landed in the ground right in front of him. It was Carol. We heard a faint sorry and then kept running. We got to the gate and a walker came at Rick. I shot it in the head and helped him pull it shut, locking the gate. We took out as many as we could but there were too many for just us two to take out.

"Raven over here." Rick said dragging me into a guard tower after taking out the walker that was inside.

"Wow. Now that's what I call an adrenaline rush." I said, catching my breath smiling. Rick looked at me and he grabbed my face and hip and pulled me into a deep kiss. I kissed him back instantly as the sound of walkers banging on the door rang and then gunshots. Rick picked me up and sat me down on the command board that was there. It was dark so I knew no one could see us but, that thought that we might get caught made it all the much more exciting. Rick kissed his way down to my neck instantly going for my sweet spot. I moaned out loud knowing we couldn't be heard.

"R...Rick." I said and he pulled me closer to him and I could feel his hard pressed against my thigh.

"Rick...We should probably go help." I said through very breathy moans. He pulled away and nodded.

"I know but, I just want you so damn bad." He whispered, his forehead pressed against mine.

"I know. I want you too, cowboy." I said and we made our way to the top of the tower. Rick had a rifle with a sniper scope on it and I had my sniper on me. We took out walkers getting head shots. I heard him laugh from next to me and I turned my head to see him staring at me. I winked at him and took out two walkers at once with a head shot. It didn't take long for us to clear the whole yard.

"We did it!" I said and gave Rick a hug and he hugged me back. That seemed to be the only thing we could do without being questioned. Everyone came into the yard and Carol was screening in joy. There was laughter and everyone was just happy to be somewhere safe for once. We piled up all the bodies and cooked up some food that Daryl had found earlier. Rick was walking around the other gate looking for some sort of fault or something. I on the other hand went to see Daryl who was standing on the flipped over bus by the first gate.

"Hey want some company." I said crawling up onto the bus. No one knew about Rick and I and I wanted to keep it that way. I wasn't sure if I loved him or if I was just doing it to get my mind off Daryl. But when Rick and I weren't together I was always right there with Daryl trying to figure out why he kept pushing me away after I told him that I didn't want to push him away anymore after I told him that I wanted what we had back.

"Sure." He said and we sat down on the part of the bus facing away from everyone.

"So, when are you gonna stop hating me? Or does your girlfriend Carol not like you talkin' to me?" I asked him, staring up at the stars.

"We ain't dating. I don't hate ya'." He said biting the edge of his thumb he only did that when he was nervous which meant I still made him nervous.

"Then why? Why do you keep pushing me away anytime I try to get close to you." I asked him this time, actually looking at him. I saw his face scrunch like he was thinking about what to say next maybe so he didn't break my heart, or maybe so he didn't say too much.

"I don't want ya' to get hurt." He said, finally staring at his hands.

"Daryl..." I started to say but he cut me off.

"No, Raven, you don't get it. Any one I've ever loved or cared about has ended up dead. I don't want you too." He said and I placed a hand on his cheek causing him to look at me.

"Nothing you say or do will make me give up on you or us." I said and he leaned into my hand we would have stayed there like that maybe all night but Carol showed up. Daryl helped her up and she handed him a plate.

"It's not much but, if I don't bring you something you wont eat at all." She said, not noticing my presence I guess.

"I guess little Shane over there has got quite the appetite." Daryl joked and I smirked and rolled my eyes.

"Don't be mean. Rick's gotten us a lot farther than I ever thought he would, I'll give him that." Carol said and I stayed put waiting for her to notice me.

"Shane could never have done that." She finished and she started to twitch like something was hurting her shoulder, Daryl must have noticed too.

"What's wrong?" He asked her, tossing some food into his mouth.

"It's that rifle. The kickback. I'm just not used to it." She said rubbing her shoulder.

"Hold on." Daryl said and he put down his plate and licked his fingers clean standing behind her. He started to rub out her shoulder and I could just feel the sexual tension between them. It made me wanna fucking puke. She gave him a weird look. I didn't know what it meant but he stopped.

"Better get back." He said fidgeting with his crossbow.

"It's pretty romantic. Want to screw around?" She asked him and that's all I needed to hear.

"Not, fucking dating my ass." I said jumping off the bus. I heard Daryl call my name but I just ignored him.

I went and sat down next to Beth and Hershel. "Beth, sing Paddy Reilly for me. I haven't heard that, I think, since your mother was alive." Hershel asked and Beth's cheeks burned pink.

"Daddy, not that one, please." Maggie said sadness in her voice.

"How about "The Parting Glass"?" Hershel asked Beth again taking Maggie's request into consideration. I actually knew that song and I wasn't half bad at singing.

"No one wants to hear." Beth said to her dad with the attitude of a teenager.

"Why not." Glenn said trying to keep our spirits up.

"Come on Beth. I'll sing with you." I said nudging her. She smiled at me and nodded.

"Okay." She said and she sat up and stared into the fire.

"Of all the money e're I had I spent it in good company." Beth sang and she bumped me and I joined in with her.

"And all the harm, E're I've ever done. Alas it was to none but me. And all I've done for want of wit. To memory now I can't recall. So fill to me the parting glass good night and joy be with you all." Beth paused looking at her sister and she joined in with the two of us. The three of us sang and we had a beautiful harmony going.

"Oh, all the comrades, that e're I had. We're sorry for my going away and all the sweethearts that e're I had, would wish me one more day to stay. But since It falls unto my lot that I should rise and you should not. I'll gently rise and I'll softly call, goodnight and joy be with you all. Goodnight and joy be with you all." We finished the song and the three of us smiled at each other. Beth laid her head on my shoulder and I rested mine on her head.

"Raven, I didn't know you sang." Rick said and I just smiled.

"I...uh...Never sang in front of anyone before ever." I said and he nodded.

"You should sing more, Raven." Beth said and I nodded.

"Beautiful." Was all Hershel said and then Rick spoke again.

"Better all turn in. I'll take watch over there. Got a big day tomorrow."

"What do you mean?" I asked him confused at what he was talking about.

"Look, I know we're all exhausted. This was a great win. But we've got to push just a little bit more. Most of the walkers are dressed as guards and prisoners. Looks like this place fell pretty early. It could mean the supplies may be intact. They'd have an infirmary, a commissary." Rick said and Daryl chimed in.

"An armory?" Rick nodded.

"That would be outside the prison itself, but not too far away. The Warden's office has info on the location. Weapons, food, medicine. This place could be a gold mine." Rick said.

"We're dangerously low on ammo. We'd run out before we make a dent." Hershel said, making more valid points.

"That's why we have to go in there... hand to hand. After all we've been through, we can handle it, I know it. These assholes don't stand a chance. Get some sleep." Rick said and then he got up and walked away. Everyone settled in and Lori went after Rick. I could tell whatever Lori was saying to Rick was making him angry and the only one who calmed him down was well me. Rick walked off and I waited for everyone to lay down and sleep. I could see him in the guard tower just pacing. After I was sure everyone was asleep I got up and walked over to the tower.

"Hey, cowboy." I said leaning against the door frame.

"Hey." He said, slowing his pacing.

"What did Lori say? And don't try to lie to me I know something is wrong with you." I said walking in and sitting on the command bored.

"She wants to talk about the baby and what we are going to do with it." He said looking at me and I sighed.

"She's got a point Rick. I mean how much longer are we gonna sneak around. She's your wife. And as you told Shane multiple times. It's YOUR kid." I said leaning towards him.

"Raven, I want you. I don't know if I want her anymore. I mean after everything that happened this winter." Rick said, walking towards me.

"I know, Rick. But how do you know you actually want me and you're not using me to get back at Lori." I asked him and he looked at me and held out his hand.

"What if I am. How do I know you're not using me to get back at Daryl." I looked at my feet and then back up at him.

"Nothing. I guess. We both have our reasons for wanting this." I said and he leaned forward pressing his forehead on mine.

"So what now?" I asked him.

"We can keep going until we get what we want." He said and I leaned up my lips just barely touching his.

"I guess we can. But, what if we don't get what we want. Can we give this a real try?" I whispered and I could feel his lips move against mine.

"Yes we can be beautiful." He said and then he kissed me. I kissed him back, wrapping my arms around his neck. He wrapped his arms around my waist with his palms pressed against my lower back. His actions sent chills down my spine and heat straight to my core. It was late enough that we could do it and get away with it as long as we were quiet. I let my hands wander from around his neck, one going into his hair and the other resting on his chest. I gave his hair a slight tug and I could feel him shiver under my touch.

Our mouths moved in sync with each other as our kiss became more passionate and heated. Rick's hands on my lower back pulled me in closer to him, closing any space that was or ever could have been there. I let out a small moan and Rick took that as an opportunity to trace my lower lip with the tip of his tongue. I smirked into the kiss and kept my mouth closed denying him access. I heard him let out a low animalistic growl that just made my insides quiver. He bit my lip and I moaned so he slipped his tongue into my mouth.

Our tongue's gliding over each other fighting for dominance but he won in the end. I felt his hands travel down my back to the back of my thighs and like I knew what he wanted my body jumped into his arms before my mind could register what was happening. He sat me down on the command board I had been sitting on previously. His slender yet strong frame sat perfectly between my thick thighs, his muscular chest pressed firmly against my breasts.

Rick leaned down and kissed my neck sending electricity through my body. "Mhm..Rick." I moaned and he nipped and sucked on my skin leaving marks in places that a shirt would cover but that he would know were there. I let my hand that was in his hair tug just so gently to send him in overdrive. He moaned as I tugged his hair and I let my nails run down his biceps.

"Raven, you're driving me crazy." He said his face buried between my breasts as best as he could since we were still clothed.

"Well, do something about it cowboy." I said in the most seductive way I could.

"Careful Raven, I won't be able to hold back." Rick said looking into my eyes his once icy blue eyes were filled with lust causing them to go a dark ocean blue. I reached up and started to undo the buttons on his shirt.

"I don't want you to hold back, Rick." I said running my nails down his exposed chest. Rick slammed his lips onto mine only breaking away to pull my shirt off. Once he did I finished unbuttoning his shirt and I slid it down his arms. Rick's finger tips traced over my ribs and down to my hips and back up. With one swift move my bra was off and his finger grazed across my chest.

"Rick..please." I moaned begging him to touch me.

"Use your words baby girl. Tell me what you want." He growled into my ear.
