minho and haneul step out of the house and minho grabs her hand as soon as they start walking

"where are we going?"

"you'll see.."

"haneul, a graveyard in the middle of the night is scary" minho shivers as they passed by many stones and graves, until haneul stops infront of one and kneels down

"hey dad.."

minho widens his eyes

"i brought someone.. his name's minho.. dad, i love him so much... if you were here.." haneul stops to let out a bitter chuckle, "if you were still here, you'd be on full defensive mode.."

"if you were still here, dad.."

that was the last straw before haneul started crying, minho immediately holding her in his arms, whispering comforting things to her

once haneul had calmed down, she took minho to a park not so far away and they sat in comfortable silence

"my dad.." she starts, "he died ten years ago.. when i was 7.. he promised me that he'd come watch me perform at a talent show at school. unfortunately, he had an urgent business trip to Japan, and that really angered me.. i didn't even see him off at the airport because of how infuriated i was. and then i started to regret ever saying 'i hate you' to him. you know why, min?"she turns to the boy who was alreadg staring at her

"because his plane crashed"

"haneul.. don't.. don't cry, please" was all minho could say before he let haneul cry on his shoulder

"hannie, don't be like that. all those years you've probably been hating yourself for what you said to your father, but he wouldn't want you to, right?"

haneul nods, wiping away her tears

"then, stop it.. please, because i hate it when you cry and blame yourself"

"you know, i really needed a you in my life" haneul hugs the person she's so grateful for who hugs her back and says,

"i needed you just as much"
