《Elegance | Harry Potter》Battle Of Hogwarts (1)

(I think my brain offed itself while writing this.)

As soon as we apparated onto the streets of Hogsmeade alarms started to go off. The streets seemed empty but immediately people yelling could be heard. The alarm was loud and rung through my ears causing pain in my head. It was extremely strange. It felt like regular pain I wouldn't even bother at all intensified ever since I got out of the Malfoy Manor.

"It's a trap, he knew you'd come," I said closing my eyes shut and holding my head.

"In here Potter!" Someone yelled opening a door behind us. Harry didn't hesitate as the figures of multiple people came approaching us. He grabbed my hand and pulled me inside the house the stranger had opened the door for us. Right as we entered the house a strange smell pierced my nose giving me a sick stomach.

"Did you look at him? For a second I thought that was..."

"I know. Dumbledore!" Hermione finished Ron's sentence. We continued to walk inside the house into a small room. On the wall was a portrait of a young girl. Maybe the same age as us that resembled the facial features of Dumbledore.

"Harry? I can see you in this," Hermione said walking towards a mirror with a cracked piece. Harry walked over taking out a piece of his broken mirror holding it against the mirror. The piece fit like a puzzle piece.

"Sirius's mirror," I said walking over and placing a hand on his shoulder. "That's how he knew you were in danger back at the Malfoy Manor. He sent Dobby."

"Bloody fools, what are you thinking coming here? Have you any idea how dangerous it is?" A man said, the same man that opened the door for us, came back inside his house. He looked like both Dumbledore and the painting of a girl on the wall.

"You're Aberforth, Dumbledore's brother. It's you who I've been seeing in here. You're the one who sent Dobby," Harry said, "Who gave that to you? The mirror?"

"Mundungus Fletcher, about a year ago."

"Dung had no right selling that to you. It belongs to..."

"Sirius... Albus told me. He also told me you'd likely be hacked off if you ever found that I had it. But, ask yourself; Where would you be if I didn't?" He said taking our a tray of butterbeer and placing it on the table. I covered my mouth quickly feeling extremely sick unlike Hermione and Ron who rushed over to drink it. I used to love butterbeer but now I couldn't even stand smelling it.

"Excuse me sir, may I use the bathroom?" I said feeling extremely light-headed still from the smell.

"Of course, right down the left," He said pointing towards a small door. I didn't stay for long and rushed inside hunching over the toilet. I gagged for a few times before throwing up. I was feeling extremely light-headed and sick. I felt weak all over. I sighed cleaning myself up and sat against the wall afraid if I went back outside, the smell would make me sick again.

"Ev? You alright?" I asked coming inside and sitting down beside her.

"Yeah. I'm fine. It's just... The smell."

"Smell? You mean the butterbeer? But I thought--"

"I don't know. I don't know what's going on."

"...Do you think... That maybe--"

"That I'm pregnant?" She said turning to look at me in the eye. The usual brightness in her eyes were gone leaving only a dim color. She was pale and looked extremely sick. The thought of her being pregnant never left my head. If she was, I'd be so delighted but terrified at the same time. Terrified that this happened during the second wizarding war and the possibility of losing it. Although, if she is, I'm ready. I can see a future with her. I don't see one without her.

Our conversation was short-lived when someone knocked on the door. "Come in," I said standing back up. The door opened and Aberforth walked in looking down at Evelyn with pity.

"I suspected this since the moment I saw you," He said kneeling in front of her and placing his hand on her stomach. "I feel something else inside. It's very faint but I can feel it."

I froze for a moment unsure of what to say next. She'd carry my child. Ours. We'd start a family. Just liked how I'd imagine I would react, I was delighted but terrified. Maybe it's the right thing for her to no longer participate in the war for her own safety and the child. I don't want to risk losing either one of them. At all. I'd already lost everyone I've cared for. I don't want to lose anyone else. Especially her or our child.

"You're not fighting in this war," I said finally finding the right words to say. "You're staying here. You're going to stay with Aberforth. He'll take good care of you and I promise I'll come get you after everything is over."

"No. I'm coming with you. I need to," She said standing back up.

"No. I can't let you do that this time. You've already done so much and that's all that matters to me. I don't care if you need to redeem yourself after breaking my wand. I don't care if you want to fight alongside everyone. It's just not happening."

"You know, don't you?" Aberforth asked her.

"Yes. That's why I need to stay. Even if I can't avoid it from happening, I want to be there at the most," she said.

"Know what? Avoid what from happening?"

"Are you sure about this? You cannot stop what needs to be done."

She took a deep breath before replying. "I'm sure."

"If anyone would so kindly explain what is happening, I'd appreciate it," I said raising my voice out of frustration.

"Let her go Potter."

"No. She won't be stepping foot out this house until I come get her."

"I won't be keeping her here."

"Harry, I'm going no matter what you say," Evelyn said quickly standing in between Aberforth and I.

"It's not just one person I need to protect and am terrified of losing. It's two now. Two that without, I won't be able to live."

"I'm not going anywhere Harry. I'll stand by your side whatever happens no matter what. I'm never leaving you. I'm not going to ask you to let me come. I will go and that's final," she said walking out.

"...We need to get into Hogwarts, as safe as possible. Dumbledore gave us a job to hunt down horcruxes. I'm not interested in what happened between you and your brother. I don't care that you've given up. I trusted the man I knew. We need to get into the castle tonight," I said. He looked at me with no words before leaving the bathroom. I followed him out joining Hermione, Ron, and Evelyn just outside the portrait of a girl.

"You know what to do," Aberforth said to the portrait. The girl in the portrait slowly started to walk away until she was completely out of our vision.

"Where have you sent her?" I asked.

"You'll see. Soon enough."

"That's your sister, Ariana. Isn't it?" Evelyn said, "She died very young, didn't she?"

"My brother sacrificed many things on his journey to find power. Including Ariana. And she was devoted to him. He gave her everything... But time."

"Thank you, Mr. Dumbledore," she said. He nodded at her eyeing all of us worriedly before walking out of the room. I didn't want to thank him. He'd given up like a fool. Hermione and Ron too didn't seem like they were in favor of Aberforth and exchanged strange looks with each other. "He did save our lives twice. Kept an eye on us on that mirror. That doesn't seem like someone who's given up."

"She's coming back," Ron said squinting at the portrait. Ariana was walking towards us but there was something behind her walking along with her. I grabbed Eveyln's hand and backed away from the portrait in case of any danger. The portrait opened revealing a dark passageway and a familiar face walked out. Neville. He looked badly beaten and quite different from the last time I'd seen him.

"Neville! How you look..."

"Like hell, I reckon," Neville said finishing Ron's sentence, "But this is nothing. Seamus is worse. We've got a couple more coming through." We all walked inside t he passageway behind the portrait following Neville. I didn't let go of Evelyn's hand for even a second.

"Don't remember this on the Marauder's Map," Ron said.

"That's because it never existed till now. The seven secret passages were sealed off before the start of the year. This is the only way in or out, now. The grounds are crawled with Death Eaters and Dementors."

"How about Snape as Headmaster?" Evelyn asked furrowing her eyebrows.

"Hardly ever seen. It's the Carrows who's watching out for."

"Carrows?"

"Yeah. Brother and sister. In charge of discipline. They like punishment, the Carrows."

"They did that to you? Why?" Hermione asked.

"Today's Dark Arts lesson was practicing the Cruciatus curse on first years. I refused. Hogwarts has changed. Let's have a bit of fun, shall we?" Neville said as we reached the end of the passageway. He pushed the door at the end of the passageway open revealing a room that seemed like the room of requirements with a group of students gathered around. "Hey, you lots! It's for your surprise."

"No more about Aberforth's cook's gonna help. We'll be surprised if it's just digested," What sounded like Seamus's voice said from the back of the room. We all stepped out beside Neville and everyone's eyes lit up with a smile forming on their face as if they felt hope again. "Oh my! Harry!" Everyone got up and began clapping surrounding us. I recognized a lot of them. Luna, Cho, and Members from the Dumbledore's Army. "Get the word out to Remus and the others, that Harry is back."

"What's the fun, Harry?" Seamus asked as the group settled down.

"Okay. There's something we need to find. There's something hidden here, in the castle. And it may help us to defeat You-Know-Who."

"Alright, what is it?" Neville asked from beside me.

"We don't know."

"Where is it?"

"We don't know that either. I realize that's not much to go on."

"That's nothing to go on."

"I think it has something to do with Ravenclaw. It'll be small, easily concealed. Anyone, any ideas?"

"Well, there's Rowena Ravenclaw's lost diadem," Luna said.

"Oh, bloody hell, Here we go," Ron muttered.

"Lost diadem of Ravenclaw? Hasn't anyone heard of it? It's quite famous. It's a sort of crown. You know, like a tiara."

"Yes. But, Luna, it's lost. For centuries. There's no person alive today who's seen it," Cho said. Our attention was brought to the sound of the entrance to the room of requirements opening. There, Ginny ran inside freezing as she saw us standing beside Neville.

"Harry!" She yelled.

"Hi there," I replied not sure of what else to say. I still vaguely remember what happened in the room of requirements trying to hide the half blood prince's book. Something I can only hope one day I'll be able to forget.

"Six months she hasn't seen me and it's like I'm a frankie first-year. I'm her brother!" Ron yelled furrowing his eyebrows.

"She got lots of them, but she has got only one Harry," Seamus scoffed.

"Yeah I bet," Evelyn said raising her eyebrows. Ginny's eyes traveled down to our hands holding each other's and she looked at us both confused, first looking at the promise ring on Evelyn's finger then look at mine.

"Shut up, Seamus!" Ginny yelled walking towards us. "Snape knows... he knows that Harry was spotted in Hogsmeade."

Harry and I changed into spare robes that Cho gave us. Although Harry was strongly against the idea of me coming, he didn't want me to leave his side and nor did I. We blended in with the group of students walking like military armies, extremely coordinated. The carrow siblings were watching over the groups ensuring everyone was following their orders. We walked beside Ginny and I made sure to stand in between her and Harry. The entire walk to the Great Hall, Harry never let go of my hand.

All the students were gathered in the Great Hall in rows, everyone still coordinated. The great hall was dark. The usual happiness that filled the hall was no longer there.

"Many of you are surely wondering, why I have summoned you at this hour. It's come to my attention, that earlier this evening... Harry Potter was sighted in Hogsmeade. Now... should anyone... student or staff attempt to aid Mr. Potter? They will be punished in a manner consistent with the severity of their transcription, further more... Any person found have knowledge of these events... who fails to come forward... will be treated as equally guilty. Another... If anyone in here has any knowledge of Mr. Potter's movements this evening. I invite them to step forward. Now," Snape said standing in the very front of the great hall, the same place where Dumbledore once stood.

"It seems, despite your exhaustive defensive strategies, you still have a security problem, Headmaster. I'm afraid it's quite extensive," I said stepping out of the crowds with Harry. Behind us the door to the Great Hall opened and every remaining member of the Order walked in.

"How dare you stand where he stood? Tell them how it happened that night? Tell them how you looked him in the eye... A man who trusted you, and killed him. Tell them!" Harry yelled. Snape took out his wand preparing to attack just as Professor McGonagall and I stood in between the two with our wands out. Professor McGonagall pushed me behind her, firing her first nonverbal spell. Snape backed away deflecting the spells and now fighting back. He only used defensive spells only and no offensive spells. Professor McGonagall did not stop there and continued to attack him. She shot multiple fires out of her wand and Snape continued to back away only deflecting them, knocking the carrow siblings out in the process. He then disapparated taking the carrow siblings' wands away and jumped out the window, flying away.

"COWARD!" Professor McGonagall yelled. Right as Snape was out of everyone's sight, the students all began to cheer. She then lit up the great hall again returning the partial happiness the Great Hall would always bring. Watching all the students cheering to themselves made me happy and smile. I turned to face Harry to share the excitement only to see him staring into nothing, dropping to his knees, like every time he and Voldemort's minds connected.

"Harry," I whispered placing a hand on his hand. All the cheers soon drowned out and the great hall's ceiling roared filling the room with an eerie vibe. Everyone's attention was drawn to a girl, maybe in her 2nd year, screaming on the top of her lung with her ears covered. Soon another girl yelled at t he other side of the great hall.

"I know that many of you will want to fight." Voldemort's voice whispered in my head as if he was standing right next to me. I wasn't the only one hearing this. Everyone else was looking around trying to find the source of the noise absolutely terrified. "Some of you might even think to fight is wise. But this is folly. Give me Harry Potter. Do this and none shall be harmed. Give me Harry Potter, and I shall leave Hogwarts untouched. Give me Harry Potter, and you will be rewarded. You have one hour."

His voice left my head and silence followed the Great Hall. Although no one was saying a word, I know a majority of students were thinking about giving Harry to Voldemort for their own safety.

"What're you waiting for? Someone grab him!" Pansy yelled. I didn't hesitate to stand in front of Harry facing all the other students. Soon the order joined my side and the group of students we saw back at the room of requirements including Lavender.

"Students out of bed! Students in the corridor!" Filch came running in yelling.

"They're supposed to be out of bed, you blithering idiot!" Professor McGonagall shouted.

"Oh, oh. Sorry ma'am."

"As it happens, Mr. Filch... Your arrival is most opportune. If you would, I would like you please, to lead Miss Parkinson and the rest of Slytherin house, from the hall."

"Exactly where is it I'll be leading 'em to, ma'am?"

"The dungeons would do," the students began to all cheer and began talking to themselves. Some nervous about the upcoming war, some excited, some unsure. Filch led all the Slytherin students out the great hall and towards the dungeons. Among the group of students, Draco wasn't one of them.

"I presume you have a reason for returning, Potter. What is it you need?" Professor McGonagall asked placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Time, Professor. As much as you can get me," Harry replied.

"Do what you have to do. I'll secure the castle," she said. Harry then grabbed my hand again turning to walk out the great hall. "Potter," we turned back around to face Professor McGonagall, "It's good to see you. You too Evelyn."

"It's good to see you too professor," we replied in unison.

**Evelyn wasn't supposed to be pregnant. There was a major plot hole that I had to fix by adding the pregnancy. I'm very very sorry.**
