《Elegance | Harry Potter》Year 6-14 | Astronomy Tower

My head was hurting when I woke up. It was dark inside the dormitories. Strange, last thing I remember was walking back to the castle with Harry during midnight- Harry, right. Harry, where is he right now? I have to go follow him on his quest.
"You're awake-" Hermione sat down beside me legs looking down at me nervously.
"What time is it right now? Where's Harry?" I asked sitting up straight holding my head.
"6 past noon."
"6? I slept for that long?"
"Well- no. Harry thought it would be best to put you under a sleeping charm so you wouldn't follow. He left earlier in the morning and said he would be back before you were even awake. He told us to watch the school grounds while him and Dumbledore were gone."
"Are you kidding me?" I said furrowing my eyebrows and getting out of bed.
"I know, I know but on the bright side- the order is here," Hermione said getting up on her feet. The order was here to watch out for potential danger, the only danger here right now is Draco. What if Harry doesn't come back? He said he'd be back before I was even awake. He's not here is he.
"Get out Hermione," I said grabbing a random set of clothes.
"Evelyn please, I'm sorry. It was for your own good-"
"I said get out!" I yelled making her jump, "Just- please."
"I'm sorry Evelyn," She said before walking out. Draco should still be in the hospital wing if I'm not too late. After getting changed into a fresh set of clothes, I ran out the common room and towards the hospital wing.
The corridors were empty, Dumbledore definitely told all the students to stay inside their common rooms. I came to an abrupt stop hiding behind a wall seeing Draco walk out of the Hospital in a black suit making sure no one was around. He's up to something, definitely up to something.
I followed quietly behind him. He was walking somewhere anxiously with guilt all up on his face. He stopped in front of the familiar wall, the room of requirements. The wall started to reveal two black doors, Draco was taking deep breaths after deep breaths before walking in. Just before the door close, I snuck inside.
I hid behind some table while Draco walked towards a tall structure covered with a red blanket. He took another deep breath before revealing a strange antique cabinet shaped like a triangle.
"Draco," I called out walking away from the table and towards him. As soon as he heard my voice, he was immediately shocked and terrified, "what's going on?"
"What are you doing here?" He spat.
"No, what are you doing here."
"You need to get out- Death eaters, they're coming. Hogwarts will be under attack. Especially you need to leave, NOW. It'll only make it worse if you're here."
"Sorry, what? How will it be worse if I was here?"
"For fuck's sake Evelyn because they'll kill you if I can't do it!"
"Do what?"
"Just shut up and get out!" He said grabbing my wrist tightly causing slight pain.
Wind slightly blew from the cabinet as he slowly walked backwards away from the cabinet pulling me with him. The cabinet started to open itself and from inside, Bellatrix, Fenrir Greyback, and other death eaters came out. I covered my mouth to not let out a single gasp, we're in so much danger. They're here for Dumbledore, their greatest threat and also the only one keeping Harry and Hogwarts safe.

"Well done Draco," Bellatrix said circling around him. Her smirk turned into a frown when she noticed me.
"Evelyn Clermont," She spat my name with disgust, "came to witness the death of Dumbledore."
"You'll lose Bellatrix," I muttered not backing down.
"And why is that?" She asked in a high pitched baby-like voice.
"Because we have something that you-know-who doesn't."
"And that being?"
"A nose, stupefy!" I quickly pulled out my wand successfully throwing Bellatrix back. The other death eaters were throwing spells at me aggressively. I deflected all the spells pulling Draco away from the death eaters and towards the door. I need to alert the order about this.
"Expelliarmus!" Draco shouted with his wand pointed towards me. My wand flew out of my hand and into Draco's hand. I snapped my head towards him surprised, he had so much guilt in his face and looked away.
"How dare you!" Bellatrix shouted stomping up towards me with her wand.
"Come on! Let's go. We don't have much time," Draco spat just before Bellatrix could curse me before storming out of the room.
"Come on, you heard him," Bellatrix said grabbing me by my hair and walking out the room following Draco. I didn't struggle against her, I was wandless. This would be a death wish if I did. The corridors were dark filled with Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder, the same one Harry used on the train. Because the powder, which I'm guessing Draco used before I got out the room, no one was able to see us. Instead of going to his office, Bellatrix dragged me up towards the Astronomy tower.
"Expelliarmus!" Draco shouted disarming Dumbledore just as we started walking up the stairs. Dumbledore, he was back. That means Harry's back, is he here? No, please tell me you're here Harry, please tell me you came back.
"Very good. Very good. You're not alone. There are others. How?" Dumbledore asked still remaining calm. He really is the greatest wizard, only he could stay calm in this situation, a clear death.
"The Vanishing Cabinet in the Room of Requirement. I've been mending it."
"Let me guess, it has a sister."
"A twin. In Borgin and Burkes. They form a passage," Draco replied. I should've known, I should've known. I was so close to figuring it out, the feather on his suit, his constant visit to the room of requirements, I should've known. I could've prevented all of this but I didn't.
"Ingenious. Draco, years ago, I knew a boy who made all the wrong choices. Please let me help you," Dumbledore replied.
"I don't want your help. Don't you understand? I have to do this. I have to kill you. Or he's gonna kill her," Draco said with his voice shaking just as we made it up to the very top. My life was on the line, he was threatened with my life. I understand now, that's why he wanted me to leave so desperately. Oh, how could I be so stupid? I would die for Dumbledore in a heartbeat, for Harry. I started to struggle against Bellatrix's grip as she pointed her wand to my neck.
"Well, look what we have here. Well done, Draco," Bellatrix muttered pulling me up into the astronomy tower.
"Good evening, Bellatrix. I think introductions are in order, don't you?" Dumbledore replied eyeing me.
"Love to, Albus, but I'm afraid we're on a bit of tight schedule. Do it!" Bellatrix spat pulling me towards Draco.

"He doesn't have the stomach. Just like his father. Let me finish him in my own way." Fenrir Greyback muttered.
"No, the Dark Lord was clear the boy has to do it. This is your moment, Draco. Do it! Go on, Draco, now!"
"Do what is right Draco," I whispered chocking on my words. He turned to face me, he was pale and his eyes were all red from crying. "I understand, you had no choice but now you do."
He slowly started to lower his wand keeping his eyes on me. A slight bit of relief rushed over my body followed with fear. Knowing he was threatened to kill Dumbledore or else I would die, what would happen to me now?
"No," A voice called out. My eyes widened at the sight of Snape walking in. He eyed Draco and I before standing beside me facing Dumbledore.
"Severus. Please..." Dumbledore whispered.
"Avada Kedavra," He muttered pointing his wand at Dumbledore.
"NO-" I yelled only to be pulled back roughly by Bellatrix. The spell hit Dumbledore directly and he fell down the balcony. I was in pure shock, the greatest wizard I've looked up to ever since I was young died in front of my eyes. Oh how would Harry react when he finds out Dumbledore is dead. Harry- where even is Harry? He's not here, did he ever make it back even?
Bellatrix threw me towards fenrir who grabbed me by the back of my collar. She ran over towards the balcony leaning against it cackling like crazy. She was shouting like a maniac, pointing her wand towards the sky. A green light shot up to the sky creating the dark mark, the skull with a snake coming out of it. Satisfied, she walked down the staircase as the rest of the death eaters followed, including Draco and Snape.
Snape led us down the Great Hall, the whole time, Draco kept looking back at me. Bellatrix skipped across the tables in the great hall breaking every glassware. Before leaving, she turned around pointing her wand into the air, screaming once again before shattering all the glass in the great hall.
We were led down the forest and towards Hagrid's hut. I couldn't think at all, where are you Harry? Are you still alive? Did you ever come back with Dumbledore?
"Hagrid, hello?" Bellatrix yelled mockingly just as we made our way down towards the hut.
"Snape, he trusted you!" My eyes shot up at the familiar voice. I quickly turned around to see Harry walking down the hills towards us. He's alive, I can still keep fighting. Hagrid's hut exploded into fire at Bellatrix's wish as Harry continued making his way down the hill.
"Go on!" Snape yelled towards the death eaters.
"Incarcerous!" Harry shouted shooting a spell at Snape who only deflected the spell, "Fight back, you coward! Fight back!" From beside him, Bellatrix shot a spell causing Harry to be thrown backwards falling.
"NO!" I yelled out struggling against Fenrir's grip. I felt someone slide my wand into my hands, I didn't move for a second, it was a chance to fight back. I looked up to see Draco looking at me, his eyes still red from crying.
"No, he belongs to the Dark Lord," Snape muttered stopping Bellatrix from attacking Harry any further.
"Sectumsempra!" Harry casted another spell though Snape deflected it while shooting another spell at him throwing him backwards.
"You dare use my own spells against me, Potter? Yes, I'm the Half-Blood Prince," He muttered. Bellatrix started to skip further down the hill as the rest of the death eaters followed. Fernir still held me by the back of my collar pulling me down with them.
"Stupefy!" I turned to see Fleur pointing her wand at one of the death eaters near me. From beside her, Bill ran down the hill towards me along with the rest of the order. Oddly, Snape didn't do anything and just walked past.
"Stupefy!" I took the chance throwing Fernir back and away from me before running towards Bill.
"Thanks," I whispered catching my breath.
"Move!" Bill shouted shoving me away causing me to fall down. I looked back up towards Bill yell out in pain just as Fenrir attacked him with his claws.
"NO!" Fleur shouted running towards the two. Fenrir didn't fight back any longer seeing the rest of the order running down towards us and ran away down the hill following Bellatrix. Draco and Snape were already gone out of sight, probably leaving before Bill even arrived.
Fleur rushed over kneeling beside Bill who had a huge claw mark on his face. He would be infected by Fenrir, developing werewolf like features. Fleur was crying in his shoulders hugging him tight as Harry came over sitting down beside me extremely tired. Everyone was just watching Bill and Fleur.
"You wouldn't want to marry Bill now would you?" Mrs. Weasley muttered glaring at Fleur. Was she possibly still on the issue of her using Bill? Seriously?
"What! That's ridiculous! Why would you even think that?" Fleur snapped back getting up on her feet.
"You're gonna leave him now that he's all scarred up."
"Of course not! I'm pretty enough for the both of us," she said. Mrs. Weasley's eyes widened and her unfriendly glare slowly faded into a warm one. I hope she finally realizes the love Bill and Fleur have for each other.
"Harry," I whispered placing my head on his shoulders, "I'm sorry I couldn't do anything but Dumbledore-"
"I know, I was there watching," He said kissing my forehead.
"Are you ready to go back?"
"Yeah, with you."
~***~
We all walked back towards Hogwarts. Everyone- Staff and students were all gathered around in the courtyard. Above us was the dark mark and no one said a thing about it. All everyone was looking at, was the corpse of Dumbledore.
While pushing through the crowd, Harry started crying. I held his hand tightly throughout the whole walk. He walked over kneeling down beside Dumbledore's lifeless body pulling me with him. He closed his eyes, grabbing a locket that had fallen along with Dumbledore, a horcrux. He then placed his hand on Dumbledore's heart not feeling it beat and broke down into tears.
No one said anything, everyone was in tears. I knelt down beside him directing his head onto my shoulders. He held me tight crying into my shoulders holding on to me like his life depended on it. I began to cry slightly, it felt weird seeing the man I've looked up to dead in front of my eyes.
~***~
Harry and I were leaning against the balcony of the Astronomy tower just staring into the horizon. I used to come here with Draco and now I guess I'll never be able to do that ever again. Everything's going to change, change greatly. Hermione and Ron were sitting on the steps of the Astronomy tower talking though I couldn't hear exactly about what.
"Do you think he would have done it? Draco." Harry asked breaking the long silence.
"No. No, he was lowering his wand. In the end, it was Snape. It was always Snape. I did nothing," I muttered. Harry looked away playing with the locket he took from Dumbledore's body.
"It's fake. Open it," he said handing me the locket.
"To the Dark Lord: I know I will be dead long before you read this but I want you to know that it was I who discovered your secret. I have stolen the real Horcrux and intend to destroy it as soon as I can. I face death in the hope that when you meet your match, you will be mortal once more. R.A.B.' R.A.B.?"
"Don't know. But whoever they are, they have the real Horcrux. It means it was all a waste. All of it."
"I'm glad you came back alive though Harry. I'm not leaving your side next time, don't even think about putting another sleeping charm on me."
"I'm not coming back, Evelyn. I got to finish whatever Dumbledore started. And I don't know where that'll leave me, but I'll let you and everyone know where I am... when I can."
"I've always admired your courage, Harry. But sometimes, you can be really thick. You don't really think you're going to be able to find all those Horcruxes by yourself, do you? You need us, Harry. What are you going to do without me?"
He didn't reply, only stared into the distance. "I never realised how beautiful this place was."
"You should've came here during the night. The stars-" I paused for a second remembering coming here with Draco, "the stars shine bright."
